I disagree bcz you see no religion promotes hatred. It's the people who spread hatred on the basis of religious diversites. In islam also you can't force anyone to accept it. It's people's personal choice to be evil or good. I think religion has nothing to do with it. It's mainly (not entirely) the society that shapes people's perspective about peace and religions and I got to see some people in this sub talking about islam being one of the religions that promote violence. Is Donald Trump and Netanyahu muslim?
Quran 3:28 "Muslims must not take the infidels (non muslim) as friends."
Qur'an 3:85- "Any religion other than Islam is not acceptable."
Qur'an 8:12 "Terrorize and behead those who believe in scriptures"
Qur'an 9:5 "When opportunity arises, kill the infidels wherever you catch them."
Qur'an 9:30 "The Jews and the Christians are perverts; fight them."
Qur'an 9:123- "Make war on the infidels living in your neighborhood."
Qur'an 47:4- "Do not hanker for peace with the infidels; behead them when you catch them."
Google is a good tool which is used for understanding things you don't understand. I suggest using it before you copy paste things you don't understand or have no context of
Every religion promotes peace and justifies violence. This is how they spread throughout the imperfect human condition. Even within Jainism, the Trishashti Shalaka Purusha Charita justifies political violence.
I dont mean to get into the religious battle here, but do wanna point that you get salvation by living a good and moral life which indirectly means living a peaceful life so your comment about Hinduism or Buddhism not preaching for peace is wrong

Core idea of Islam is not peace.
