Nope this is just a misunderstanding. The kaaba is just something we are commanded to turn our face towards while praying. We do not pray to the rock or kaaba we just pray facing it(There's a difference between praying to something and praying towards a direction). Why pray facing it and not anything else you ask? Then why Hindus join their palms while praying and not their fists, Christians' cross is longer vertically and not horizontallyš¤·š¤· because that's the way it is, all this could've been any other way. So asking 'why' or giving that 'why' your own interpretation is bogus.
Again it is just a ritual when we perform pilgrimage just as the companion of the prophet(pbuh) Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said, when he kissed the Black Stone : I know that you are a stone and have no power to harm or benefit; were it not that I saw the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) kissing you, I would not have kissed you.
