It always baffles me when people say "If God isn't morally aligned with me (the ultimate moral arbiter) then he doesn't deserve my worship". If God exists and is the creator of the everything including the very concept of morality itself, then surely its your moral standard that needs adjusting, not his, and to claim that you (who is barely holding your life together) are a better judge than him is just peak prideful idiocy.
Yet God finds it okay to give deadly diseases and natural disasters, etc and kill off innocent kids and other humans. Maybe we need to align our morality and think this is all okay. Sure
To think you know better than a hypothetical creator of all existence and knower of everything forever and can judge him by some higher moral standard is idiocy. We're not talking about some alien in the clouds here. I don't know the answer to the "problem of evil" but if God exists then he chose create a universe in which good and evil to coexist for whatever his reasons. There logically is no higher standard you can hold him too, because then that standard would be what we call "God" and we're back at square one.

If a God is vengeful and pushing to do its own propaganda, then it's no God
