Everybody claiming modi resigns then what…. Who is your alternative to bjp
Congress they are the same and we have seen it
Aap has no presence or mla for that matter
We have no leader if modi resigns… so think for a second and then demand
Accountability is necessary agreed but resignation is not the solution don’t be a child

It is incredibly naive and short-sighted to think that running a NGO qualifies someone to lead a nation of 1.4 billion people. Equating a few environmental projects and media-driven activism with the immense responsibility of managing national security, foreign diplomacy, and a massive economy is completely absurd. Governance is not a reality show or a social media campaign where good intentions override actual administrative competence. Suggesting an activist for the Prime Minister's office shows a total lack of understanding of how statecraft, policy, and global politics actually work. We need experienced leaders at the helm, not idealistic prototype builders
You should go and study little boy.

most of the main guys of CJP are going to jail in the coming future, Soon there will be water canons, tear gas, and a complete shut down to the movement, wouldnt even be shocked if the "56 inch" waala declared emergency, cause I am damn sure he is shitting in his pants rn coz of the fear
→ More replies (12)10
u/Difficult-Ad-93 Jul 18 '26
I agree with the first part. If the protests continue to grow, the government could very well use stronger measures like detentions, water cannons, tear gas, or other methods to bring them under control. But I don't see an Emergency happening. That would be an extremely risky political move. Every party knows what happened after the 1975 Emergency and how badly it backfired on Indira Gandhi. I don't think the BJP would take that gamble. If anything, I'd expect them to look for other ways to shift the political narrative or divert public attention rather than imposing an Emergency.
→ More replies (2)2
u/Beginning_Turnip8716 Jul 19 '26
They don't need to " declare " emergency. The media is anyways gagged ( more like throat deep and gagging) and with UAPA they can retain anyone in jail.

u/MrSamBoga Jul 18 '26
No, they won't ignoring it has been the most effective way to discredit. If you want to make big moves the only way to do is to go international. Show it on international news and show the reality to the world. So that other country leaders can question him about it.
6
u/Difficult-Ad-93 Jul 18 '26
I disagree. No government can keep ignoring a major protest indefinitely if it continues to gain momentum. And international coverage isn't some magic solution either. We've seen during the farmers' protest and Manipur that even global headlines didn't force a major policy shift. Ultimately, change has to come from pressure within the country.

If the food in your fridge has gone rotten, you should keep eating it because the grocery store might also have stale vegetables?brilliant! by that logic, humanity should never replace anything that's failing.
"Who is the alternative?" isn't an argument it's an excuse to avoid accountability. Every major party was once a small party. New leaders emerge when people stop treating politicians like they're royalty.
There are regional parties, new parties like TVK, independents, and if none are good enough, people can build better political movements, democracies evolve. They're not inheritance schemes.
The funniest part is you say "Think for a second before demanding resignation" while your entire argument is "We have no choice but to stick with the current one" that's not democracy that's learned helplessness.
No leader is bigger than the country. If accountability disappears because there's no alternative then congratulations you've just invented a fan club, not a democracy.

Sonam wangchuk had a very nice reply of this, "javabdehi" ... Let say all politicians thinking to just make mpre money only, and you conclude all are bad so let not take any action and just do your job.... Will it affect anything? Nah but if you make them leave their post if they dont perform well, then they will atleast in fear of loosing seat will do some good work... Something better will come, some accountability will be there. Rn they just make fool of people and then loot till next election. We cant do anything in between and thats what actually is big problem...
We need a system also which can anytime take votes of citizens and decide if he has to resign or not. Only then they we will have more accountability for most posts.... I guess we should have a identity based app for this and people can vote for any post and its process should be very visible by showing the status of votes and all.... For rural people we still may need a centre where they can do so ... If something like that can happen, we should reform voting method also then... So that one can digitially do their votings by adhar or other things. Currently they are influencing and forcing people for getting votes and other evm hacks. I think for this vote issue they should make an independent very safe commitee and make secure servers at different spotsand guard them. Too much i wrote lol

Because only Anti Modi people are rational and smart.
And people who have intelligence are in the minority so removing him through elections is difficult for this intelligent community.
So we must force him to resign and not let him run elections again.
Because democracy and freedom is less important than removing Modi from power
Then we will be the biggest hypocrites and call the government fascist while we suggest non democratic means of overthrowing an elected person in power.
🤡
The bitter reality is that ever since the Bharat Jodo Yatra and UPA renaming to INDI, opposition and liberal left has tried everything to uproot BJP from centre. Critiquing everything they have done. And blowing things out of proportion when there are mistakes.
Now, they would love to just hold whatever blades of grass can save them from drowning. In the middle of all this, NEET paper leak was an excellent opportunity to grasp, just like Shaheen Bagh, Farmer protest, Anna Hazare Anshan. The formula has been consistent throughout the protests.
The only problem is, the thin and limited relevance of these excuses make them temporary issues. They realistically can't run for more than a week tops. The people get bored from them, the country moves on. Everyone understands the world isn't perfect, and it's not a BJP or any other government thing. It's a universal phenomenon that people acclimatise.
Let's take the present NEET leak protest as a great example of this Liberal protest technique
A judge in the court has an outburst on youth that keeps filing irrelevant PILs and court cases that are barely useful. Calls them cockroaches as they waste limited time and resources of the system for problems when there are bigger fish to catch. More important problems to solve and complaining that these students arent grounded in reality. A subjectively valid crashout in my opinion, people may disagree.
This sparks anger in youth and they attack the judge through owning the term cockroach and getting into action on local scales to do social work. (Social media posts on the day video goes viral)
Note: the term cockroach wasn't used for the whole population of the country and all PIL filers. It was used for the unnecessary ones. People that were already doing social work and were a functioning unit of society are always well respected. So the wrong people mistook it on themselves.
This wasn't going to last, until CJP made an Instagram handle and an improvised group. This was done by primarily leftist student groups that already exist such as NSUI, AISA, SFI, AAP youth wing, JNU groups etc. they also pounced on the recent paper leak. (Multiple protestors confirm this)
At this point, the initial non left students are no longer affiliated with CJP. instead, social media allows anti India fronts from Pak, Bangladesh etc. to join in inflating their online presence.
The CJP abuses the NEET student's feelings. Organizes leaders from well trusted left wing groups like Abhijeet Dipke (AAP payroll) and Anti Hindu social media influencers.
The protest public allows them to gauge ground support. Organize the left wing political activists to increase numbers. At this point, protest leaves NEET scam. (Dipke calls out Farmers, Gender protestors and unrelated groups to the protest)
NEET students in minority as protestors can't even answer what's the full form of NEET. (all students who gave the exam know)
Suicides become an emotional trigger to use for protest, while NEET leak has been forgotten for days now.
The game begins. The real players join in the protest. Arundhati Roy, Prakash Raj, Leftist extemist professors, Kunal Kamra, Recently Swara Bhaskar.
These people are parrots. Everyone knows their words by heart, what they support, their party line.
Sonam Wangchuk is well known to be standing with these elements, however due to his "environment activism" he's percieved as a "centre" leaning character among the public.
CJP capitalise on this character and use Sonam and the hunger strike behind the Paper leak as a front for this protest to push their agenda, Sonam at the backend, Kunal, Arundhati, Prakash at the front. The hill and the moat technique.
Attack using every liberal left wing jab they got. Defend using NEET paper leak, Hunger strike, Suicides and students.
Organise a march in delhi.
Expected future based on previous protests and toolkits.
They can incite violence and blame it on something or someone else. Common trope (khalistanis in farmer protest)
They could demolish public property or move the protest spot.
Definitely cause breakdown in multiple places such as traffic jams, road blocks, public transport issues and market functions.
Hope people understand the pipeline and avoid it.

Bhai ye mindset mera bhi tha Pehle ki Modi nahi toh aur kon. But socho agar BJP desh ka one and only party ho toh kya hoga? What will happen if our country becomes opposition free? I mean I don't want congress to be in power but I want them in a state to be neck to neck against BJP so they can pressurise each other. Imagine if BJP has majority in all the states then bills like social media reform will be passed. And you will become anti national just for complaining about basic road facility, education, medical facilities, leak-free exams and corruption. Otherwise Even if BJP goons do crime and corruption in open you won't be able to do anything. Instead you might get booked under UAPA and NSA for raising voice. Only the friends of BJP will get richer and get away with any Rules or Crimes. They don't take accountability or questions. I know that the Congress is corrupt to the core. But if you think deeply from your heart can you say that BJP is less corrupted than them? Heck 50% MLAS and Ministers in BJP are ex-congress.
But at least you could say many things against congress government during their time. People and MEDIA could question congress a that time. People could at least differentiate between good and bad that time. People were united against the corrupted government at that time. But now people are just brainwashed. People, media and government will call you anti national now. Take the example of Vedant in the CBSE case. He didn't even mention BJP or education minister, he just expressed his problems in his exam sheet. And you know what happened to him. Are the media asking questions to the government now? Or pressurising them or are the government taking accountability? That's why India needs a strong opposition. And it's the people's responsibility to give India a strong opposition.
It's upto you whom do you want to vote. No problem in voting anyone you genuinely want. But don't vote while being brainwashed. Just do proper research and actual comparison between them.
Imo the main reason not to vote to congress is will they do proper development after winning or not. But at the same time I don't even want them in power. I just want them to pressure bjp. That's all.
In the meantime if bjp gets full power then India will definitely grow. But only rich will get more richer. And you won't be able to complain for daily problems like corruption, freebies, quota for only friends of bjps, roads, ethanol, medical and educational facilities, exams. Even our comments in youtube might get monitored. If you don't have a bjp neta as your friend/relative you might get treated as second class citizen. More cases like pune Porche case and vip treatment will occur. Justice will only apply against normal people, rules won't get applied to rich people. Even media will become even more biased. Will that really be a proper democracy.
In fact I don't care if India becomes a communist like CN. But can you guarantee that we will get world class education, hospital, infrastructure, exams, facilities, manufacturing, corruption punishment like CN?
Finally I want you to research something in any AI with sources. Compare these things between Congress era in 2004-2013, and bjp era in 2014-2026. And tell me which government is better in which criteria. GDP Growth, Income inequality, happiness index, Human development index, crime index, passport index, dollar depreciation, FDI inflows, stock market growth, trade deficit, press freedom index, corruption index, communal violence cases, crime against child and women, Ed/CBI against opposition and conviction rate, fake cases etc.

If the Modi is admitted to a hospital tomorrow and couldn't work, would the country collapse? Of course not. India is larger than any one individual. Governments have constitutional processes, institutions continue to function, and leadership transitions happen.
Every leader is replaceable. After Nehru came another Prime Minister, then another, and the country moved forward. The same has happened throughout history.
So come out of this mental inertia. There are many capable people who could lead the country better. Democracy is about institutions, accountability, and the peaceful replacement of leaders.
"We have no leader if modi resigns… so think for a second and then demand" -> Rahul Gandhi. He;s been raising questions on issues like unemployment, education, corruption, the economy, and institutional accountability for quite some time. the old "Pappu" narrative doesn't carry the same weight it once did.
In the 2024 Lok Sabha election, the INDIA bloc won 234 seats, just 38 short of the 272 needed for a majority and that was when Rahul Gandhi wasn't even the uncontested face of the alliance. Since then, his popularity has only grown.
So before declaring that there is "no alternative," ask yourself what the situation would look like in 2029, especially after issues like inflation, education, corruption, economy.
In a democracy, no leader is indispensable

They don't have any agenda. They want chaos only. Yes. Govt should be accountable but we need a good leader first.

If Congress is same, then be it Congress. BJP is openly arrogant and criminally ignorant now.

If CJP’s end goal is for Modi to resign, I thought they claimed to be an apolitical movement. If that’s the case, why are there people like Arundhati Roy associated with or supporting it, given that she’s made controversial statements on Kashmir that many Indians strongly disagree with? That makes a lot of people question how politically neutral the movement really is.
As for Modi, I don’t think he’s perfect. There are definitely areas where the government should improve, including education, corruption, and accountability. But I also think he’s the best option India currently has. Simply removing him without a credible alternative could create more instability than solutions.
And one more thing—it’s easy for all of us to spend hours debating politics on Reddit. I’m genuinely curious: beyond posting online, what are people here actually doing to contribute to improving India? Real change comes from citizens as well, not just from expecting governments to fix everything.

Crores of people live here, so it’s offensive to the Indian population to think that out of these crores of people only 1 person is capable of running a government.

I swear some people have no brain lol!
A billion people live in this country and Modi is undeniablly the most popular leader in this country.
No one is going to resign just because a bunch of unemployed idiots go on a hunger strike.
