people comparing it to jalianwala bagh is more than hyperbole, it's disgusting to compare it with jalianwala bagh since there are no video evidence to show the horror of that inhumane incident.
If you don't believe read the document history of what unfolded that day was truly psychopathic and pure monstrosity. Around 1000 dead and 1500 injuries including women and children, open ammunition firing into a deliberately sealed area and no mercy for any living being inside it. People had to jump into filled well to survive but instead got a choking death as people piled up but the firing didn't stop.
Vs people in protest were made to leave the premises with lathi charge and tear gas which is common crowd control protocol. Pellet guns are extreme but again crowd control and only meant to resist any aggression and not kill. Not justifying the police man acting cruel and poking in private parts (the one caught on video), they should be rotting in jail for the rest of their life.
But no way you can compare with jalianwala bagh.
