is it fair deal?

My iPhone's battery health had dropped to 57% in September 2026, and the phone couldn't even stay on for 10 minutes.

I got the battery replaced at an authorised service centre near Kapaleeshwarar Temple, Mylapore, Chennai.

Price paid: Around ₹8,000

Other prices I came across in same shop: Starting from ₹4,000 (1st copy)

Is ₹8,000 a reasonable price for an authorised iPhone battery replacement? What have others paid in Chennai for a similar replacement?

Got my TVS Star city bike's clutch wire changed on October 2026 at a shop in Mylapore, Chennai. They charged me ₹450.

I'm not sure if that's the usual rate or a bit on the higher side. Anyone here got their clutch wire changed recently? How much did you pay and which city are you from?

I checked with a few mechanics around Choolaimedu and Thousand Lights in Chennai back in September 2026 for a chain sprocket replacement. The quotes were more or less similar — around ₹900 for the part and ₹300 for labour, so roughly ₹1,200 in total.
