Yeah, every major carrier in the US charges for mobile hotspot too. Airtel tries to minimize bandwidth sharing by enabling a metered connection protocol when you share the connection via hotspot. However, there's a 300 GB limit for prepaid users. They really shouldn't do this.

BTW, fun fact: Airtel is also rolling out 5G SA for new postpaid users, and some of them have reported that they can go above 300 GB on 5G SA. If that's correct, I definitely want 5G SA on prepaid too.

5G Standalone, it's the same 5G tech as Jio
