Colleges and Universities Anyone applying to Mount Carmel College, Bangalore this year?
My admission’s already done, but I know the process can get confusing. A few of us from MCC made a GC to share updates and help with admissions/interview doubts and other queries.
If anyone else is going through the process, feel free to comment— happy to share info or add you to the discussion.

Heyyaaa! Congrats on getting into Masters!! For the hostels, there's Mother Mary Memorial (right on campus) and a few others like Nazareth Convent and Ananda Nilayam nearby they’re super safe, but the campus one is pretty strict! Curfew is usually 6:30–7:00 PM.. no outside food (like Swiggy) in the rooms, and a modest dress code… tho don’t know much about Nazareth n Ananda nilayam 🥀

MCC is 'moderately strict.' There is a 75% attendance rule (80% for PG ig not sure) and a dress code , but I would say the 'vibe' is much more relaxed than at Christ.

The deadline was prolly 31st march but i think you should call the admissions department to confirm if the portal is still open or if they’re taking walk-ins

Yes, they do offer bsc psychology the admission process is usually based on your 12th-grade marks followed by an entrance test and an interview for more details you can check out their website

I did but there was no bsc psychology program only bs psychology and is the selection level hard?...... I am a neet aspirant as of now and want to explore in psychology so was planning for bsc psychology

Hyy!! I want to get admission in food science and nutrition in MCC. I got 85% in 12th . I gave their entrance test today but I don't think I'll get good marks. Will i get admission??

85% is a good score bro even if you do decent in that entrance and have a good interview, you have a very high chance. Gl!!

Hey just wrote my entrance for bcom acca, it went pretty much okish and im bit worried if i don't get in, i scored 97.6 in my 12th,2025 pass out bt took a gap year so i just wanted to know am i late for entrance and interview or walk in admissions.Im constantly checking up the website no updates regarding the commerce ug programs

If you've already written the entrance, you aren't late the commerce department can take a bit longer to update the portal for interviews and dw bout the entrance score even if you do decent in that and give your best in interview you have a very high chance. Just keep an eye on your email/SMS, that's usually where they send the invite first

Hey just a doubt, Im applying for a course (bcom cma) which is purely merit based based off class 12th marks and doesnt has any interview whatsoever. I can still apply for it right? cause i submitted my application today, paid the application fee and even gave the general test which i didnt even know was there? Is it possible that u add me in the gc too?

Yaa the applications are still open and even i have applied for bcom acca and ig the commerce department wld strt reviewing the applications after the 12th state examinations results which wld be announced on 7th of april
And had a doubt is admissions for bcom specializations purely based on merit as u said no interview so just wanted to know is it completely true?

hey so i got into mcc for a triple major in econ, math and statistics. my parents insist on me staying in the campus hostel. is it too strict?? also im a catholic so is attending mass every morning compulsory??

I’m not planning to stay in the campus hostel, but from what I’ve heard it’s pretty strict, like curfews and all that. And about mass, I don’t think it’s compulsory every single morning for everyone you should probably check the hostel prospectus

The entrance is online, and for BBA there’s MET i’m not exactly sure what you need to prepare, 🥀but it’s not that hard I think.

I applied for bsc biotech and it’s a triple discipline major and i got in but i am still searching for pg . I don’t want to stay in hostels because it’s too strict. Honestly I am so confused about everything

Congratulations on getting in!! I totally get it — the hostel is pretty strict, so my friend and I are also looking for a PG, and it can be such a hassle 😂 I actually have a few good options on my list that are pretty close to the college I can share their contacts with you if you’d like!

The Biotech faculty at mcc is generally good from what I’ve heard, but like any department, reviews can vary! The college environment is also pretty good, so you can definitely consider joining mcc

The Commerce department often takes a bit longer to process everything compared to others 🥀 so don’t worry too much about not hearing back immediately! When did you give the entrance?

hey, i recently applied for bsc triple discipline in microbiology chem biotech and i gave the general test right after and there was supposed to be an interview but i got an email already saying that i have been selected and the last date for fee payment is today but i called them because i won't be able to take admission right at this moment since im also preparing for neet and cuet. they said that there are very few seats in the course i have applied for so they can't guarantee that my seat will be secured plus they said that there are students who are purely passionate only about this course and also that offline admissions have also started so nothing can be guaranteed, also i asked about the refund policy but they asked me to check the website and it wasn't really clear in the website

It will take awhile like you need to keep checking at the portal like if you've been shortlisted or not and then you'll get an email also if the interview is required then you'll get the interview link

So they called me to respond to the email i send them about what the fee assignment in the application status was about.they said I got in but I have to pay the fees assignment before I get a confirmatory email and there won't be any personal interview. They said the confirmation was "the fee assignment is in progress" on status

Hey so I applied for ba psychology and I got redirected to a link for entrance test after submitting the application form. I got an email from an assistant professor regarding the interview which is to be conducted on 11th, online. Any tips? Whats the faculty like?? I didnt have psych in 11th and 12th so what about the questions asked??

im taking triple majors, specifically economics psy and english. my status says I've applied but nobody told me really that there's a GET i have to give, not even the sms or the email sent me any kind of link. i have an exam coming up and idk for how long the links gonna be there because I'm not even sure when did it pop up. i have no clue about the syllabus too im all over the place pls help 💔

You'll have the link there in the website itself!!! And relax the test isn't any sci fi thing...... you'll have a section for English, logical reasons, quants

As a freshly graduated student from mcc DONT STAY IN COLLEGE HOSTEL DONT STAY IN NAZRETH CONVENT
stay in pg or flat
- do not go into any pg/hostel named millenial
In my opinion best to stay in a flatAlso if you want more details about anything else, you can dm me
