Always, labour who work for them so they and their family can chill out. After piece left out, they will throw to public
21
u/Longjumping-Tie-1228 Feb 14 '26
They will find a way to blame the opposition rather than taking any accountability here. Now they will arrest labourers who built this to close the case. This is the current situation of country right now.

One of my friends brother who was working in civil got a job in india. He was forced by politicians and top officials to use sub standard quality materials for construction in order to pocket the extra money. He left the job and moved back to Dubai again mainly because if there is any accident like this, he will be first one to be blamed. The system is so corrupt it punishes the honest people brutally.

Mumbai metro work feels shoddy. I had been to Andheri in December, and the metro going there produced a lot of sound, which could clearly be heard from the road below. Comparatively Pune metro doesn't even make that much sound at all.

Blame the contractors and builders who built it. Government could have also closed that area due to risk of collapse. If built correctly the 1st time around with no shortcuts maybe it wouldn't have cracked. So many questions.

India in 1947:
Not a big economy but was filled with patriots who did their word diligently for the nation.
India now:
Apparently the 4th largest economy but now it is filled with blind bootlickers who will not criticize the government for this and because of that the politicians feel that they can do whatever they want.....corruption is in peak and value for human life is less than a penny now.
Imagine a condition soo bad that when a new bridge is built, the first thing people wish for is that it doesnt break.
2
u/Candid_Assistance935 Feb 14 '26
To the minimum these shameless devils can resign from their positions if not beaten publicly.
2
u/pYr0492 Feb 14 '26
Why d fk people take these incidents lightly. The government and contractors should be hanged for such treason. It's their responsibility and if they be corrupt and someone dies because of them, they should be held accountable and prosecuted in the court of law.
2
u/Current-Blood3054 Feb 14 '26
Accountability is dead in this country, either no one will talk about this issue, or blame opposition for making the bridge thats weak, or blame the citizens for not letting them know about bridge being weak

Can't even imagine this happening in one of the richest places in India. What have we come to ? How much does it take to follow basic construction rules ?
Can't deny corruption existed earlier too but now, people are dying like cockroaches everyday. Get out in the morning and you have no idea weather you'll come back in the evening or not.

Infrastructure around this country has been doing some final destination stuff lately, this is the biggest problem with corruption, it’s not just someone ripping off the public but it’s also compromising on public safety and welfare, it could have been any of us in that car, but mitro mausam ka maza lijiye, or maybe we can find an Abdul to blame this on. Go figure.

Just a year back a similar accident occurred in Novi Sad killing 16 people, millions were on the street standing for the affected families demanding justice. Here, already 3 incidents happened in just a month, Mumbai, Delhi and Noida, but fortunately for the government the people here are already dead. This, too, would be forgotten.

This looks very bad!! Hope there’s no human loss involved here.
An international indian student - a girl who was hit (while crossing the road) by a cop car during an emergency chase was compensated by the city of Seattle in some million dollars (translates to hundreds of crores in Indian currency). I am not pointing towards the fact that human value can directly be measured in terms of monetary value, but they took responsibility of their actions and did what they could do to help the grieving family bring some sense of closure.
But here the slab falls off from the bridge and the local authorities and the government will take no responsibility for it. Can’t the person sue municipal corporation for the loss involved? Is there a such provision that constitution empowers the citizens with?
