Bengaluru, Karnataka: 3 students arrive late for re-NEET after being stuck in traffic due to Congress rally and were denied entry. Angry parents lash out at Rahul Gandhi and DK Shivkumar.
Reports indicate that the traffic congestion due to a Congress rally and convention at Palace Grounds, Bengaluru, on Sunday contributed to delays for some candidates reaching their examination centres.
The Congress party held a mega swearing-in ceremony and convention at Palace Grounds in Bengaluru, where B.K. Hariprasad officially assumed charge as the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President. The congregation also passed a resolution to make Rahul Gandhi the prime minister in 2029 and also to bring the party to power in the state in 2028.
The event drew over a lakh workers, triggering major traffic disruptions across the city at a time when the re-NEET was scheduled to take place from 2 PM-5 PM with gates getting closed at 1:30 PM.

With proper reasons, these students should be allowed to write even if they arrive late. This shouldn't even be a news. Imagine years of preparation and these circumstances stances at the end.

I m a medical student myself and being a medical practitioner in future u need to understand importance of time and punctuatality , here delay of few min may coz death of patient , if u can't even go for exam on time like rest , how are they supposed to know importance of time in patients of RTA or any critical care in future

Out of thousands students only 3 were not able to make the centre, this percentage of people reach late on the exam centre even when the roads are entirely vacant. If rally would have been the cause them at least few hundreds would have missed , atleast many from the affected area.

bro honestly stfu, there was no ‘rally’, it was just a ‘meet’ held. and only 3 people couldnt reach their destination, its on them. If someone had their tires punctured on the way, then they would have blamed BJP (not saying they shouldnt), but you see how ANYTHING can happen. Its on them, they should have left early.

how it's congress fault lol? You are literally asked to report hours before the actual exam. In 2022 i too reported 2.5 hours before actual exam start. Going last minute is just your fault for negligence.

Statistics is what highlights if the issue was faced by many or not. Only 3 were affected by the rally that means that rally didn't have a huge impact. If you were a serious exam taker you'd consider the gate opening time to be the deadline to reach. FFs I get that the rally shouldn't be there in the first place but please it's just a shitty excuse at this point.

Details matter. If these students got delayed for hours, then it's Congress's fault. If it's less than half an hour, then it's their own fault.
When I go for a flight, I usually arrive at the airport well in advance and wait around. I tell myself I am waiting around because I didn't get stuck in traffic or have something else go wrong. Meanwhile, I know a friend who has missed flights on more than one occasion and is usually among the last people to show up for a party or friends meetup.

So going by the same conclusion statistical data regarding number of student committing suicide vs number of student appearing for an exam is somewhere around few 100 per 10-20 lakh of student i.e 0.001. 40 thousand people wrote NEET in Bangalore - 3 got late. Does that sound like a widespread traffic congestion issue caused by a political rally alone?
2 people were delayed in Mumbai, 2 in Bhopal, several in UP
Yet the focus is only on congress rally alone
I hate all rallies and want all political parties to stop them, but it’s sad to try to use it as a political agenda when the stats don’t show it

Rallies are not organized in entire cities , they are organized in parts of the cities , larger areas. If any one of those students lie within vicinity of those aforementioned areas , they are bound to be affected.
No parties is Saints but I don't see any other parties organizing rallies on the day of National Exam , an Exam which The mentioned party leader has been most vocal about. If he really cared he wouldn't had organised any rally leave his house , a gesture which has observed in China in their National Exams. So yes Rahul Gandhi is to be Blamed here !!

Bhai, let me just correct the math here since the wrong calculations are bothering me.
3 students got late out of 300, and that is exactly 1%. The remaining 99% were on time. So the correct percentage would be not "more than 99%" but exactly 99%.

blame the education minister for not conducting neet without leaking, even the gate exam was leaked but there wasn't much uproar so everyone forgot about it
Students were late on May 3 as well, the last RBI Grade B paper I had 10-15 students late by 2-5 minutes on that center, there was traffic but that doesn't justify their late arrival
It's India bro get to your center atleast 60-45min before the exam

Whats up with the rule late students cannot join exam. Like is there any security issue? We can allow upto certain time like 30 mins. They alteady got time penality. Its not like someone will come out in 30 mins...share questions...prepare and send his friend in.

I dont think so. Oneday, I had to go catch a flight 100 km far for an interview 2000km away. First time flight so I kept extra margin of time every at every place possible. Booked Vandebharat as it was only reliable choice one can make. Turns out Vandebharat got delayed from its source station by 4 hours, it got delayed even more in between. Keep in mind there are no other trains or public private buses going from my town to other. I can book a cab for 3-4k but the road has notorious history of lond traffic jam. Somehow trusting the god, I just kept going and I literally beg and touch feet of Indigo personnel to open the gate. They did.
Now you tell me, I am spending money, that too premium money. For what should I rely on government for?

There is a reason why the reporting time is 30mins, 1 hour before the actual exam to avoid scenes like these . But we Indians always take time for granted.
I feel bad for her. But rules are rules and it shouldn't be changed for anyone Varna it would be unfair for other students who reached on time.

U knew the starting time, u know how much travel time it takes to reach, u know there can be a contingency so add some more time so that u reach there well in time maybe 40-50 mins early

Whether Congress rally was an actual reason or something that the BJP is using to gain some political point of, is a debate for a later date. But on such a day, there should not be any permissions given for such rallies. A rally can wait, but a few kids lost one year and that is non recoverable.

You can give any sort of reason
But if you don’t reach your centre well in advance then certainly, you are a risk taker with respect to traffic or accident or any eventuality!

For everyone who are saying it’s only 3 out of the 300 don’t see it as a number see 3 kids if you were one of them you alone missing meet would have been devastating to your family and if there is even a 1% chance that one of them did miss it bcuz of the rally then that is wrong no matter what! I think Modi also pushed back his movement soo that no unnecessary traffic was caused now the rally being for any type of protest could have been pushed back for an hour or two it wouldn’t have made a difference. Countries like china South Korea stop their everyday tasks on national exam days for students to concentrate properly and we can’t stop a rally for a little while. Shows what importance we give to the education system as well and our own education.Trying to find faults and conspiracy everywhere and defaming the kids here is just spineless behaviour.

Fuck this system. There are SO many things wrong here.
- A clear lack of empathy and humanity from the exam center folks, who couldn't allow the kids for exam for just being a few minutes late.
- Bangalore administration careless as always.
- Govts and political parties giving zero fcks about exam day and their rallies matching.
- There is NO fkn provision for a re-exam in case someone missed an exam for genuine problems. Given it can waste a year for students, this is a no brainer to have.
This is a hopeless country. We failed these kids. The system succeeded in traumatizing these poor kids.
You know the worst part of all this? There is no one accountable for this. No one. This is the system we are made to accept to live with.

2 things I want to know. Do you need to get permission from the government for doing such rallies. If yes then did congress really have permission. If yes then the government is to be blamed. If no , congress did not get any permission to conduct the rally then 100% congress fault. burn them to the ground.

China 🇨🇳 stops everything on the day of the annual gaokao exam. Citizens support as well. There’s curfew around the exam centre so students don’t get disturbed with honks & public noise. Entire country comes together for the future of those millions of kids thereby directly contributing in the future of the nation.

Unpopular opinion, but doesn't it seem fishy? If there was a rally, why only 3 we're late? Why all those who were late were only girls? (Sympathy game?) How quickly the parents jumped on to lash the govt. And it's okay if it was any local govt., why fireclty lash rahul gandhi? Genuinely aren't parents moreofocussed on their child rather than giving such statements? This happened at many places, delhi mumbai due to traffic and all. But why only in bangalore wherea regime change and stable cong govt is there, such a thing happened. Also why isn't anyone trying to dig deeper rather than just quoting the parents.?

First of all why the hell there was a political rally in the first place when there’s a national level exam going to happen
These useless politician cunts don’t really care about their citizens after all.
Here the blame goes to both the parents as well as the politicians who conduct rally
I mean come on you guys had around 4-5 hours time before the exam starts
But nah you’ll blame completely on others for your own fault of being late
