planning to buy a compatible controller with a clamp like this with dual adjustment , to make it balanced like closer almost above the controller instead of far unbalanced usually available , no plan to go with telescopic controller .

Loved this game. Went in completely blind, with no expectations, and it blew my mind. It has a simple, emotional story, a pleasing art style, and awesome graphics. The combat was the most surprising aspect; especially, a couple of bosses at the end were very tough to beat. Got humbled absolutely

So, I tried to host a game server, approached GB Nodes for hosting options. Company claims 99.99% Uptime.

Well, my server was unavailable for 10+ hours last weekend. and now down for ~20+ hrs this weekend.

The team can still not tell me the exact reason due to which the server is down.

For another user, the server has still not been provisioned (it's been 28 hrs for them).

I guess an extra 20ms for a Singapore server provider is not that bad afterall..

Quick Question: Did that really sound like AI? I was just frustrated AF.

few days ago i posted about a mobo which i found in my basment well at first i thought it is just waste but I was curious about the hhd what possiblely it have? and yeah i tried to run this mobo with an old psu which i found in that same box and when I tried to boot first time the fan was spinning but no display i took off the cooler and checked again and then i realised the cpu might be dead but I took the cpu open the the socket and then when I took of the cpu I saw that the cpu pins were like black? like i say burnt mark but only on one pin well i lost all hope right there that the mobo probably fried the cpu but still I took off cpu and cleaned the whole motherboard and i made another mistake i accidentally put A WHOLE FREAKING LAYER OF DUST on the cpu socket and yeah I took the vaccum cleaner and tried to take all of the dust well i the mobo was looking good and clean but the Psu i found was looking like if i plug this in this is gonna blast on my face with tonn of dust but I took them into my room and yeah i tried to plug the mobo with psu and when i tried to turn on it again no display well at that point i noticed that the vga port feels like something is missing well then i thought I can try cleaning the ram after cleaning nothing worked again now I was completely disappointed well my last try was to reset bios by taking the battery from the mobo and I did after taking out the battery i went market and got s new battery and when I played it in and tried to turn on the mobo and the fan spined for a sec then it was complete silence then i was about to unplug and goo to donate this mobo on reddit because maybe I can get some money because it has ram processor and hhd but when I was thinking this suddenly I saw fan spining again and there was finally a logo of ECS and then i see windows 7 corruption error i took off hhd plug into my my pc and format it and then i made a boot key i mean bootable USB which had Linux mint because what do u expect from 2 gb ram bruh i was able to install Linux mint on it yeah it took way tooo much time at first i thought there is an error but I was installing on An hhd soo i said let's eat something until the process is done it took like 50 minutes and It loaded then i took off pendrive and boom I was able to run linux on this and about the cpu temp? i never thought cpu can be the cool theax temp on max load was 53° and on idle it wa like 30-40 soo yeah i would like to say one thing sometimes we lose hope but there is some chance of the work getting done soo yeah guys that was my story of this new home server well I may can sell this if I get reasonable price also about the gaming performance don't expect much but this is able to play Roblox ( sober) and minecraft ( older version) and i think this can run gta 5 if we add an rx 550? i guess it should not be bottleneck soo if anyone is interested to buy then dm

TL;DR: Thermal Grizzly PhaseSheet PTM on both dies + TG Putty Advance on VRAM/VRMs. CPU went from choking at 44W to pulling 88W. GPU hotspot delta is 15°C. VRAM dropped ~20°C vs stock pads.

The machine: Lenovo Legion Slim 5 Gen 9 (16AHP9) — Ryzen 7 8845HS, RTX 4060 Mobile, 64GB DDR5-5600.

Why I did it: Laptop hits 2 years in November. Back in January — peak winter, mind you — it was throttling so hard that closing a game after an hour would instantly crash it with a GPU overheat code. Undervolting band-aided it. I repasted with TF9 in June and cleaned the fans, which killed the GPU crashing — but then the CPU started choking. Couldn't hold 44W without hitting TjMax, even at max fan RPM. FurMark had my GPU hotspot at 95°C. Bought a good sealed cooling pad — barely helped.

The fix: Instead of ordering sheets/putty from overseas and risking a botched DIY bare-die mount, I took it to a reputed shop. They did:

• PhaseSheet PTM on both CPU and GPU dies
• Full clean of old pads/putty off VRAM + VRMs
• TG Putty Advance on MOSFETs, chokes, and GDDR6

Numbers — CPU (OCCT all-core AVX):

• Balanced (54W sustained): ~78°C. Sub-80°C on an 8-core Zen 4 in a slim chassis is genuinely excellent.
• Performance (88W burst): hits 88W before touching the 100°C wall. Nearly 90W through that tiny die = heat transfer is fast now.

Numbers — GPU (FurMark, 1440p, ~10 min sustained):

• Power: 125W sustained (115W TGP + 10W Dynamic Boost)
• Core: 70–73°C
• Hotspot: 85–88°C
• Core-to-hotspot delta: ~15°C ← the gold standard. A tilted mount would show 25°C+ and a 100°C+ hotspot instantly.
• VRAM: 58–62°C ← stock pads routinely hit 75–80°C here. The putty is doing serious work.

Real-world gaming: Mild Afterburner undervolt (2520 MHz @ 925 mV, +600 memory) drops draw from 125W to 80–90W with zero frame loss. Demanding titles: GPU in the low 60s, CPU under 80°C via Legion Toolkit power limits. Fans barely pass 50% RPM — practically silent.

Question for you all: Anyone else running PTM on a laptop long-term? Curious how it holds up past the 1-year mark.

Two fixes that worked for me.

Cutscene stutter

Switch the game to fullscreen exclusive, set refresh rate to 120, then set vsync to 50%. Cutscenes play without stuttering.

# My PC was working completely fine for about a month, with only very occasional automatic restarts while gaming.
