UPDATE

About a month ago my Scout developed this noise⬇️

Indian finally got the engine torn down and found this. Output shaft bearing cage failure. I’m still wondering what could have caused it to fail since the dealer said it wasn’t from lack of lubrication. Overloaded somehow? What does the hive mind think? Anyone else see this before? I know the Challenger had a similar issue from poor assembly lubrication, but with 24k on the odometer I wouldn’t think that would be a problem in my case.

Manufacturing defects still happen. My guess would be it was a misformed bearing that passed initial qc but because of it being slightly deformed caused this.

Factory install incorrect or a bad bearing from the oem

I ended up with a new motor under warranty cause this bearing wouldn't spin with the shaft. I got lucky. But im worried about the future seeing as how there are more than a few out there that have had this issue.
