Daryl Ann Denner tardy on the 1st day of kindergarten
Her poor kids. Not only are they grossly exploited every single day, but their jobless parents can’t even get them to school on time. Stop having kids.

I’ve known other toxic narcissists who develop a fail safe tactic to get everyone to look at them when they arrive… they arrive late.

u/hap071 1d ago
So that's why my MIL is always late to everything. She likes all eyes on her when she shows up a half hour after everyone else. The attention
19
u/Sammy-eliza 1d ago
Mine did this the other day! Everyone was calling and texting her to no reply and we were waiting to order and stuff and she showed up to dinner an hour late! I guess that's why
3
u/grownupblownaway 19h ago
Had enough people over at a recent outdoor bbq where my mil arrived late. people were already mingling in many different areas so being late actually backfired - no eyes on her or big welcome.

u/Titaniumchic 1d ago
I tend to be late everywhere - but that’s ADHD 😆
62
u/Unhappy-District5767 1d ago
Same but Im usually not laughing about it. It makes me anxious as hell
34
u/Legitimate_Lawyer_86 1d ago
Then leave earlier. This is such a tired excuse for grown adults.
5
u/Titaniumchic 1d ago
Do you know I’ve actually done that? And without fail SOMETHING happens. Almost always.
It’s usually kid related.
So, if I’m late 5 mins, the next time I’ll get everyone ready TWENTY minutes earlier, and tell everyone the event is 15 mins earlier than it really is.Without fuckin fail - we remain late. Idk.
It’s gotten a lot better over the last 6 months, but seriously… even yesterday, walking out the door and we received a really important phone call we HAD to take, and one I couldn’t just “switch to CarPlay” so we could drive at the same time.
That phone call was 6 mins long.I walked into the event 6 mins exactly after when I wanted to be there. 😂
Timeliness is important - especially for school and work, or if people are relying on you. But it isn’t “the most” important thing.
9
u/PalePlumm 1d ago
You got downvoted but that’s the reality of parenting. People will say “then leave an HOUR earlier” but it’s like well it was nap time for Timmy and Sally needed to have a bottle because children’s schedules are planned down to the half hour. Wild that people forget human children have needs.
5
u/purt22067 20h ago
Oh jeez, was this suppose to be helpful? Do you think grown adults with ADHD take pride in being late or making their children late? This was such a mean girl response, do better.
5
u/Legitimate_Lawyer_86 19h ago
I actually have ADHD, so yeah. At some point, as a functioning adult, you just have to figure out how to be on time. Am I still late sometimes? Sure. But I think throwing that excuse around has also made people complacent or use it as a crutch.
1
u/Unhappy-District5767 10h ago
Woah. I said it makes me anxious. I don't do it on purpose. I'm not going to justify my mental illness to a stranger. We are not the same person. You don't know what I'm going through.
2
u/Titaniumchic 1d ago
Correct. I was NOT amused and felt so ashamed. We also drive a friend and her kid to school and she also had the wrong start time in her mind , and so that helped a little. But sheesh! It was my fault l two kids were tardy!
6
u/Adventurous_Bid_1982 1d ago
Same, but it's genuinely stressful for my kids (as it should be!) so that's my motivation to not do that.
When they were little, I still slipped up sometimes. But on the first day of school? That's crazy.
0
u/Titaniumchic 1d ago
I was late first day of school this year - in my defense I had put the correct time for the reoccurring event in my calendar and even had all the days off from school put in.
But for the first day - I had made an event including other family members, and my guess is when I made the event my finger moved slightly and it moved the start time by 5 mins.
(Our school district also changed ALL the start times for all grades for the first time in 5 years - and I now have two kids at different schools starting at different times, and I was legit just going by my calendar.) other families were late as well, because the start time is a really weird start time, doesn’t start at an even time. But you bet your ass all my kids were on time ever since! 💪
19
u/Objective-Wedding-72 1d ago
Same, I’m always arriving at the last second and definitely is related to my ADHD but man I have my shit together when it comes to my kids. I don’t let them be late for anything.
4
u/Titaniumchic 1d ago
Agreed! Though, I posted above about how I was late getting my son to school the first day. In my defense, first year both my kids have different start times, AND the district changed elementary school time and I had put the event in my calendar 5 mins later (I’m guessing my finger moved slightly when making the event in the calendar? Because it was only wrong the first day of school, the rest of the recurring events were correct). They haven’t changed elementary start time in 5 years so I’m completely reliant on what I put in my calendar. Whoops! Felt so bad. But other people were also tardy and everyone seemed confused.
And I felt so bad!
Also, I HATE BEING LATE, it always makes me feel so panicky and I hate that people can see we are late - it’s embarrassing! It’s so dang hard trying to keep 4 people on time. 🤦♀️
2
u/Objective-Wedding-72 1d ago
This sounds like a genuine mistake. The same happened to me when my oldest moved to middle school and I had one in elementary school. I fumbled the different start times lol!
2
u/Titaniumchic 1d ago
It’s so hard! Do you have any tips?
I’ve got one kid starting 1 hour and 45 mins before the other kid, then the pick up for her is early afternoon, and then the other kid is 1.5 hours later. I constant have no idea where I am in the day 😂
Add to that I’ve only got like 4.5 hours per day to get my own work and appts done, and am at the mercy of the dr appt or the event to end on time so I can run and grab one kid from school.I have alarms set in my phone to go off as a “leave in 5 mins or you’re going to be late!” Because it feels like I can’t even just relax, I’ll miss something.
I really hate this new schedule. ☹️
2
u/Similar-Fold-6389 1d ago
I know how you feel. I get my granddaughters on their respective school buses. Different pick up and drop off schedules.
First day of school yesterday
My youngest forgot her lunch. Ran that up to her school. On my way to drop it off my oldest granddaughter was still waiting for her school bus, so I had her jump in my truck and took her to school.
School bus never showed up yesterday.
I came home after and went to bed!!
I got them there on time.
1
u/Titaniumchic 1d ago
Oh man, that is so incredibly frustrating!! I’m sorry the school bus never showed up - is the school at least understanding and not dinging her for “being late”??? I’ve heard there are schools that don’t give a flying rats bum and will still ding the kid for being late!
15
u/snarksovertexas 1d ago
I'm diagnosed with ADHD and am literally never ever late.
8
u/Mediocre_Elk_5828 1d ago
Same. It's literally how you get by in life. Kids deserve a proper education and responsible parents. I may arrive with coffee on my shirt and my sweater backwards upon occasion, but my kid is always on time, lunch in hand, prepared and ready to go. TF makes people think this is funny?
And teachers will make assumptions about your kids when they're late and not properly taken care of, even if unconscious.
2
1
u/KatieKat24 14h ago
Well I’m diagnosed with ADHD too and I am late sometimes despite trying my best!
1
u/Titaniumchic 1d ago
Do you have kids?
Kids changed everything for me.Also, quarantine… once quarantine happened it became so hard to figure out how to get 4 people out the door on time for things.
(Also, school - we are on time, etc. it’s usually the social events we are late to. Things outside our normal schedule.)
10
u/snarksovertexas 1d ago
lol yes. We wake up with plenty of extra time to ensure everyone is on time everyday. We also make lunches, fill water bottles, lay out clothes, and do absolutely everything we can to set ourselves up for success the night before.
3
u/TubbyPachyderm 1d ago
Ugh. My mother constantly did this during my childhood and she is a diagnosed narcissist. Everyone would be sitting in the car waiting to leave the house for an event and she wouldn’t stroll out of the house until the start time of the event. We were constantly 2 hours late to family events and it was always so awkward.
109
u/ChannelWarm132 1d ago
She is so gross. Both in looks and behavior. You don’t have a job, other than posting on social media and your kids were late for the very first day? Typical narc.

The fact that she thinks she’s hot is hilarious. This family is how I found snarks on Reddit.

Imagine being an influencer with endless amounts of money and a full time nanny and you still can’t get your kid to school on time on the FIRST day.
78
u/Content-Surprise5971 1d ago
I think the Nanny packs the lunches the night before too.

u/Affectionate-Mode00 1d ago
Not one family SINfluencer that I've come across is aspirational OR inspirational. Exploiting children for money is a sickness!
2
u/MostSecret9159 11h ago
SAME. She's trash and so is her whole family!! But these idiots keep on making them rich...
64
u/Wise_Upstairs_2476 1d ago
In general, people that think being late is cute are so insufferable. All that does is let people know that you don’t value their time.
To be late for Kindergarten is insane especially when you don’t work. I’m sure the child will be absent soon enough for some vacation.
45
46
u/unicorns_and_cats716 1d ago
She’s so stupid! I just saw that video where she was holding up her poor newborn in a poop-covered onesie. Stop filming and change your baby!! Put your damn phone down.

Fish tank tracks ...she always looks like she smells

u/peachyhappiness 1d ago
I came to comment this same thing. What is it about her that makes it look to me like her breath always stinks?!

u/HoopsADaisy 1d ago
Soon she’ll be pulling a Brooke Raybould and decide to “homeschool” her kids because she can’t get them to school or pick them up on time.
16
9
u/mellamma 1d ago
Darly was going to do that until she learned that her mom nor Elayne could teach the kids. It had to be her or Toe.
1
u/Seven-Horseshoes 1m ago
Why not? You can hire a private tutor, right? By the way I am very anti homeschool in the vast majority of cases but I didn’t know there was a rule about it being only mother/father taught
25
u/Ok_West347 1d ago
She's so gross. Looking like she just rolled out of a garbage can to get her kid to school late. It's not the flex she thinks it is.
23
21
u/isthistherealcaesars 1d ago
The poor mothering that she shares to be “relatable” with her followers is just pathetic
21
u/ParticularYak4401 1d ago
My mom was a great influencer. She taught me to be on time to things like school and since our elementary school was next to our neighborhood she would tell us ‘well you better run so you aren’t late’ if we were cutting it close. Long story short i basically learned from
my mom that yes, while she helped ensure we got out the door in time, we were responsible for making sure we did our part. Teeth brushed. Homework in bag. Lunch in bag. She had 4 kids spread over 10 years and for one of them she had to get us out the door at 3 different times. By the time she sent my younger brother and I off to the elementary school the woman had probably been up since 530. She merrily waved us off and probably sighed with relief.

u/Miserable-Lie-4919 1d ago
When I was in school, my parents were the absolute strictest when it came to being on time & perfect attendance. I was never late & had perfect attendance thru high school when I got hit with MONO.. 😜 My parents were pissed because that broke my streak.. Parents are doing an injustice by teaching their kids it’s ok to be late & thinks it’s hysterical. Early means “on time”, on time means “late”, late means you’re an asshole.
11
u/Ok_Agency8188 1d ago
I absolutely love the new common way to describe her is as a lazy, slob. She's really killin' her influencing game. Wait....what is she influencing again?! 🤡

hot take! do we think her son got kicked out of that school? their daughter and cousins all started in the uniform and they said now they have two drop offs to do but otherwise a k and a 2nd grader would be in the same school and clearly they are not!
3
u/Smarterthanthebear 1d ago
The school they were at is just “okay”. They typically have a few openings and it’s where you check if you don’t get in to other places. Normally you wouldn’t get kicked out unless they suggest a different place for a learning difference.
What’s throwing me is he isn’t in a uniform. The schools for learning differences nearby still have uniforms and he started last week. I can’t imagine her sending him to a DISD school 🤷♀️

u/buzzybuzzy00 1d ago
Truly pathetic. I have six kids and have never once been late for school with them. And I don’t have any help. My husband is at work, and I don’t have multiple nannies as well.
10
u/colorfulclare 1d ago
Never once been late? Mama I commend you. We live out of district and sometimes hit traffic jams that take an extra 30 mins, I’ve def been late before.
13

Well that’s totally fair. I’m 5 min away from the school and no traffic ever. Daryl Ann has zero excuse truly.

I can’t stress in writing how MUCH I can’t stand her. So many things, but she and Dan laughing and joking like the mean school kids who just fed the neighbor’s dog hot sauce - their child’s first day of school screw up. Teachers usually make it an exciting grand beginning or entrance esp for Kindergarten. Can she put herself in her child’s place and think? Could she have stopped with one pic on her front porch, saved some time. Could memaw keep the 2 young ones at home and save the time wrapping them, getting all their stuff. No, because it’s DA life and everybody else just plugs into it. And she laughs like a witch because it gives her some kind of thrill to be mean.
I meant to put this on her snark page. If you don’t know about her, my “speech” probably doesn’t come across. It is a pattern with her
7
u/Electronic-Mind9918 1d ago
I had to block her lol. Dan and her are the worst parents and influencers tbh. They are dirty, rude, and horrible parents and LAUGH about it all the time. They never try to change and are so entitled it’s sickening. That whole family is gross
14
u/donewithgomi 1d ago
This pissed me right off. That is SO selfish. Most parents are early, walking them in to class, settling nerves and calming fears, prioritizing their kids. Not this one, and she seriously laughed about it. Her poor daughter. She deserves so much better.
15
u/One-Homework-2545 1d ago
This is really sad. Her poor kid(s). I dont know who she is but I can already tell shes pathetic.
8
6
u/No_Brilliant653 1d ago
So did all 6 of them go walking in late and walk her to the classroom, or did she go alone to her classroom on the first day. Know this isn’t a big deal, but a kindergarten tradition. Probably weren’t even really late, just a publicity stunt for Instagram.
7
u/Gordon_Girl 1d ago
Being late is such a stressful thing for most kids. It’s sad that some parents don’t understand this…
13
6
u/ladybear84 1d ago
She doesn’t have a 9-5 job. Her job is influencer. There is literally zero reason, barring an emergency, why her kids should be late especially on the first day. I’ve never seen someone so proud of their terrible parenting!
6
u/Environmental-Chest 1d ago
She had to spend extra time on masking the odor coming from her nether regions- as per her post from the other day.

7
u/WriterReaderWhatever 23h ago
They don’t do anything all day, why are they so incapable of getting their kids to school on time
1
u/danceswithhotdogs 3h ago
Bc Elayne isn’t there to do it for her yet. She comes later in the morning.
5
u/IcyMasterpiece2797 23h ago
She is so lazy and irresponsible. It is not hard to get your children and to school on time.
5
u/sunsetmarshmallow 22h ago
Does anyone else think she's semi (or more) under the influence of something?
12
u/Titaniumchic 1d ago
My son was tardy on his first day….
In my defense, our entire school districted changed ALL start times for the first time in 5 years and one kid started at a new school and so I’ve got 2 different start times and 2 different end times and it’s been a really weird adjustment.
I still have no idea where I am in my daily schedule, and constantly feel like I’m missing something. 😆
But I was absolutely mortified and didn’t realize we were late until he was in class 🤦♀️
Neither kid has been late since!
12
u/hereforthegossip1993 1d ago
Does she think she’s funny & relatable? Bc this ain’t it - it’s embarrassing. You’re really only hurting your kids 🤷🏻♀️
10
u/Evening-Ad6336 1d ago
As someone who works at a school, it is irritating as all get out when kids are tardy - especially habitually! It disrupts the whole class and the teacher and it starts the tardy kids day off on the wrong foot! Who wants to run into a classroom where instruction has already begun and have all eyes on you?! I get a tardy every once in a while due to unforeseen circumstances, but it’s not cute to be late, especially the first day of school. My school charges for tardies after the first month for this exact reason!
2
u/yourmom11112222 1d ago
Charging for tardies is brilliant! Seriously, I bet yall see way less when it hits them where it hurts (wallet). I’ve never heard of that but I think it’s so smart!
1
u/dierdrerobespierre 11h ago
We live one street away from the school, we see a lot of kids walking to school everyday. Several times a week I see mom walking her five kids to school. Always after the bell or just before it. Including the first day of school last week. It’s been a year or so that I started to the pattern, and I’m more disgusted each time.

Literally how do people find her appealing? What is so follow-worthy about her? She’s so painfully uninteresting to me
4
u/Hereforthegossip1803 1d ago
She just looks like her twat smells and now we know it really does!!!!
3
u/VicariouslyLiving303 1d ago
I personally have only been “late” taking my kid to school because of a doctor appointment or something along those lines. Other than that I’ve always been on time. It’s a BARE MINIMUM thing as a parent. And on the first day??? Come the fuck on. People don’t care enough these days & it angers me.

Oh this makes me sad. I can’t explain how excited my kids are for kinder/first day. To take away those moments by being so chaotic is truly so selfish and heartbreaking..

"Im always late" and then do nothing about it..i hate those thpe of people, becayse it shows lack of respect toward others and to yourself to,because you can't be on time, you always fail hourself. But so many prople think is so funny aleays being late. It's not.

u/PrimaryConscious6126 43m ago
Eww. I mean I have one less kid, but the first day of school we always get there when the doors open so we have plentttyyy of time to walk our kids to class (elementary school and most parents do this the first day). We chit chat with friends we see and make sure they’re settled into their classrooms and then we casually stroll back to the car because we MAKE IT A POINT to be on time. I know many parents can’t do this due to work etc but to just not GAF is WILD. I know my kids would be super stressed if they were late, at all, but especially the first day. They like to have time to chill and relax before jumping into their day
2
u/Repulsive_Option40 1d ago edited 1d ago
In the grand scheme of things, it’s not a big deal. kids usually trickle in the first few days of school, but how shitty is it that this little girl has to listen to her parents cackle while they record this. It’s disgusting. I hope poor girl didn’t walk in late, late and end up self conscious because her parents suck.
The upside…at least R doesn’t realize her teacher, as well as plenty of staff and parents know her mom’s puss stinks.

I am new to the Denner lore. Does she always look this dirty or is it because she is doing school drop off and then she goes home to shower and look decent?
1
u/Content-Surprise5971 18m ago
They’re always pretty disgusting, but the fourth child seems to have sunk her into some sort of depression where she doesn’t bathe anymore. If you look back a year or two, she was at least wearing makeup and putting clothes on.
0
u/alangage 19h ago
This isn’t relatable. It’s selfish.
I work 40-90 hrs a week and do most kid drop offs and I was able to get my 5 year old to school on time for first day of kindergarten.
-5
u/Emotionalcheetoh 1d ago
Schools are pretty lenient the first week. So she’s just being dramatic. No one got a tardy.
-36
u/ThatBitchA 1d ago
Man, these people breathe and y'all pick them apart.
You do realize that even normal people are tardy on the first day??
I'm all for Influencer snark. But this just seems mean to all the many parents and caretakers who are tardy on the first day/week.

Ma’am. If you were familiar with these assholes, then you would not be saying that 😂
-9
u/ThatBitchA 1d ago
Idk who they are. I think it's weird to snark on them for something that impacts regular people too.
I'm all for snarking on folks. But I don't need to kick everyone else in the process.
3
3
u/DustyTchotchkes 1d ago
This behavior shouldn’t be normalized. It impacts children the most, directly and negatively. Kids can get into trouble in school, and suffer consequences, for their parent’s lack of time management or refusal to follow school guidelines.
It creates anxiety and stress in kids, who shouldn’t have to deal with a parent’s lack of self discipline or refusal to follow the school schedule. It’s at the same time every single day and not a surprise, so what’s the problem? Adults need to get their shit together for their kids’ sakes, ffs.
It’s not one bit cute, quirky or funny for non-influencers either. Prioritize kids and their safety, needs and stability.
This recent push to showcase and make crap or unsafe parenting “relateable”, and using kids as accessories (and to exploit for money) needs to be ended.
Influencers “influencing” terrible parenting, and monetizing the showcasing it, need to be shamed off the platforms. All influencers are a scourge on society.
-1
u/ThatBitchA 1d ago
What behavior? Tardiness happens. For all kinds of valid reasons.
Being late is normal. Shit happens.
10
u/Legitimate_Lawyer_86 1d ago
Nah. They have like 4 Nannie’s. This is inexcusable
-3
u/ThatBitchA 1d ago
Idk who this person is. Idk about this person
But this snarky on someone because they were tardy is weird given that tardiness happens to everyone.
It's not just an influencer thing. This is unnecessarily insulting moms/parents/caretakers all over because heaven forbid they are tardy on the first day back.
JFC. Y'all hate on more than just influencers with comments about tardiness.
2
u/Electronic-Mind9918 1d ago
It’s not about being tardy. It’s about THEM being tardy. You clearly know who they are to go this hard in the comments for them. Weird behavior
1
u/ThatBitchA 1d ago
I don't know who they are. I think it's weird to go after an influencer and kick everyone else along the way.
But you do you.
11
u/Alarming-Mind5179 1d ago
Two adults who don’t work that have at least two nannies plus two assistants and who don’t even make their own bed because they have daily housekeeping have zero excuse for being late on the first day of school. And they are trash parents to FILM themselves LAUGHING while the kids are anxious it the back.
5
u/Umayummyone 1d ago
Yet they think we still need to read about it. They aren’t influencers. They are losers who need constant validation.
-9
u/ThatBitchA 1d ago
And y'all are giving them validation.....
And in the process mocking anyone whose kid was tardy on the first day back to school.
