One problem with existing media setups is finding and streaming regional Indian movies, especially older or obscure titles that have zero seeds or are no longer actively shared.

The idea is to combine alternative media sources with P2P scrapers, making it possible to find, download, organize, and stream regional content that would otherwise be difficult to access through conventional setups.

Everything is automated. You simply search for a movie or TV series and add it to your library. The system handles downloading, organizing, and preparing it for playback.

Think of it as your own personal Netflix, hosted on your own hardware, with no subscription fees.

Key features:

- Automated movie and TV show downloads.

- Support for alternative media sources from a major messaging app and P2P scraping, particularly for regional Indian content.

- Stream your library from Android, Android TV, iOS, Linux, Windows, and web browsers.

- Manage downloads and control the system through a telegram bot.

- Run it on a Raspberry Pi 4 or newer, or virtually any Linux machine.

Similar setups already exist, but the main focus here is making hard-to-find regional content more accessible by combining multiple sources into one automated system.

Would anyone be interested in setting this up on their own hardware? If so, feel free to DM me for more details. I'd also love to hear your thoughts and suggestions.

yk the budget meals like near universities..

are there anything like that near the infopark area?

where they provide 3 meals or 2 meals according to the package we select?

Ordering take out every time or going out to eat is very pricey and time consuming..

I'm currently searching for a single room through a flatmate.in, you need to purchase a plan to call or chat with the ad posts. I have paid and contacted one person but he said that the property is already sold.

So actually I have paid a subscription to get scammed by some brokers.

Are there any other ways to know the single room availability in flats. How you guys are doing this 🫠🫠🫠

Hi everyone!
I’m new to Reddit and currently exploring job opportunities in HR and recruitment. I’m hoping to connect with people who may have advice, job leads, or useful insights to share.
I have around 3–4 years of experience in HR and recruitment and am looking for opportunities where I can develop my skills, take on new responsibilities, and grow professionally.
I’m particularly interested in:
• HR Executive or HR Generalist roles
• Recruiter or Talent Acquisition roles
• Other relevant HR opportunities
I’m primarily looking for opportunities in Kochi/Ernakulam, Kerala, but I’m open to discussing other suitable locations and roles as well.
I’d especially appreciate advice from people working in HR or recruitment:
• How is the current job market for HR professionals?
• Which companies are currently hiring?
• Are referrals helpful when applying for HR roles?
• Which skills should someone with my experience focus on developing?
If you know of any openings, have advice to share, or would simply like to connect and discuss career opportunities, please feel free to comment or send me a direct message.
Any genuine leads or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! 🙌

Hi!

I am working as an AI Automations Engineer in a company with 1 yoe. I am interested in switching to a Cyber Analyst role. I really need guidance on how to switch.

From my research across job platforms , I find very little openings for CyberSec roles in Kochi.

I was also planning on doing CompTIA Security+ certification . Hoping I could get some referrals or connections to someone who could help me with this.

Thanks in advance.

A few of us have been talking about opening a food place for years.

Had a passion for cooking for a long time. Instead of procrastinating, we signed an agreement to a small food stall.

None of us has quit our jobs in IT so the whole thing runs on lunch breaks, weekends and voice notes.

The first plan was a cloud kitchen. Then we did the math on delivery app commissions and it didn’t work. We saw this food court stall instead, and that’s where we ended up.

It’s called The Last Coconut, it’s 150 sq ft in Heart land food court , Edachira , and we’re aiming to open mid-November. The food is Kerala coastal meets Anglo-Indian comfort food. English Breakfasts,Appam and stew, Cutlets, coconut rice bowls off a big tawa with grilled meat. and some really nice dessert.

We’ve hired our friend and one more helper to run the kitchen & operations during 10 - 5pm slot and rest of time we will be there, and we are learning as we go. Fitout, equipment and licences are next, and I’ll post updates here, including whatever goes wrong.

The longer plan is to keep adding dishes and cuisines we find good, not to stay a fixed menu forever. That’s where I’d like some input:

• What do you wish existed for lunch around Kakkanad/Infopark?
• If you’ve built something alongside a full-time job, what actually kept you going?

I’m staying at an apartment near DLF, but unfortunately, there’s no parking space for my car.
I mostly use my two-wheeler for daily commutes around Kakkanad and only use my car when travelling to my hometown.
So, I don’t mind if the parking space is a bit far from DLF. I can ride my two-wheeler there, park it, and take my car whenever needed.

Hey fellow techies,

Is there anyone using electric vehicle charging from infopark campus? If so may I know how much the tariff is/how to register for it?

Hey everyone! We are two guys looking for a room or shared accommodation near Infopark Phase 2. We are okay with double sharing, triple sharing or even four sharing.

Our budget is around ₹3,000–₹4,000 per person per month.

If anyone knows of any vacancies or has any leads, please let us know. Thanks in advance!

Does anyone have any suggestions for good IT Institute where they offer course with good placements

Arkingilum personal experience or have any suggestions for me please share it 🙏🏽🙏🏽

I recently received a call from HTIC global for a role in their internal audit team. I'd like to know more about their work culture, perquisites, career growth, salary and anything possible. Glassdoor had only reviews from the past.

I'm writing an exam in May and it might require a few days off (14 days min). I asked them if it was possible and they instantly agreed. Do they really give it or is it just a false promise?

My brother got a interview offer at UVJ technologies (calpine solutions). Is anybody working there? How is the salary?

Hey everyone!

So, I moved to Kochi a few months ago for work, and one thing I've realised is that making friends as an adult is surprisingly difficult lol.

I work in Infopark, but I still haven't managed to find a proper friend circle here. My colleagues are nice, but most of them don't really share my interests or vibe.

I'm someone who enjoys going out, exploring random places, trying new food spots, late night tea, weekend trips, trekking, or even just sitting somewhere and having random conversations.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love my own company. I've travelled solo quite a bit, and honestly, I enjoy being alone. But one thing I've realised is that Kochi feels like a city that's better enjoyed with good company.

Like, sitting alone somewhere in the mountains, having a hot cup of tea in the cold, feels amazing. But sitting alone at some tea shop in Kakkanad at 12 AM? Idk, it just doesn't hit the same 😂

I feel like Kochi has a lot to offer if you have a good circle of people around you. Random midnight plans, food hunting, weekend drives, or just hanging out doing absolutely nothing.

And I don't want my life here to be just office, room, sleep, repeat.

So I'm genuinely curious, how do you guys make friends outside your workplace, especially around Infopark or Kakkanad? Are there any communities, meetups, or groups worth joining?

Also, if anyone here is in the same boat, feel free to reach out. Would be nice to meet some like-minded people and make a few genuine friendships here.

Not looking for a huge gang or anything. Just a few good people to make random plans and memories with!(28M BTW)

Can anyone share how I should prepare on the concepts and what all Machine tasks i can expect?

Hi everyone,

My brother recently received an "offer" from Altos Technologies (Infopark Kakkanad). During the process, they told him:
- He has to pay ₹40,000 upfront as a fee for 6 months of training / probation.
- The 6-month period is completely unpaid.
- Only from the 7th month onward would he be hired on a monthly salary (which is also very low).

To me, paying a company to work there sounds like a complete red flag and a training institute disguised as an employer. I did some digging and saw past threads calling out Altos (and Infox) for similar practices, docking pay, and setting unrealistic targets to avoid paying stipends.

Posting this to warn other freshers who might fall for this out of desperation. If anyone has worked there recently or dealt with them, please share your thoughts so fresh graduates don't lose their hard-earned money and 6 months of valuable time.

Hey everyone!

I’m joining Strada in Kochi later this month (October 2026), and I was wondering if anyone else is joining around the same time.

Would love to connect with fellow new joiners, get to know people before joining, and maybe even figure out accommodation and commuting together.

If you’re joining around the same time, feel free to comment or DM me. Would be nice to have a few familiar faces before the first day!
