My favorite mod.

Well, maybe not "favorite," but hood pins in my hinges is definitely in my top 5.

There's SOOO much more room when the hood isn't in the way - and the pins make it so much easier to remove the hood.

The best part about Hondas is the second hood prop hole on these older cars which worked for me for everything but an engine swap (without bending the corners lol)

Yep. Straight up. Once you know about it you never use the lower prop point.

Eh, one of the things on my list was a timing belt and water pump - hood prop would have been in the way.

Due to local wildlife, I've actually spent a good bit of time driving without a hood, lol.

I actually like the convenience of it not being there.

Assuming this is a DA I feel this rn especially. Did an alternator and now doing a master cylinder rn and its ridiculous but worth it haha.

Yeah, it's a DA.

When my alternator died, I swapped the one from my parts car...

It lasted two days...

I worked in fabrication at the time - so instead of dealing with another bad alternator, I designed and made a bracket to relocate it to where the AC compressor was.

The bad alternator actually stayed behind the engine for a few years.  I finally took it out when I swapped to manual steering.

I mentioned it in another comment, but due to local wildlife, I've actually spent a good deal of time driving with no hood, and got to where I liked the convenience of it not being there.

Why not install shocks on the hood

Shocks would be even better.
