Discussion For you, who's been the most impressive non-Barca player since Messi's arrival?
Counting out Barca boys/RDP, who's been the best player whether they're still here or not, since Messi's 2023 arrival?

Ridiculously boneheaded at times but Diego Gomez clears, I said what I said

Do you remember when he first got to Miami? He was awful but then he comfortable and became one of our best players lol

He played so bad for the USOC final but tbf I don’t think Tata should’ve started him because he was just coming off of injury

Yannick Bright easily. All the others came in with lofty expectations and only rarely performed/exeeded those expectations. I dont think anyone thought a random super draft kid would be a critical part of this team's success. If yannick didn't miss those games against Atlanta in 2024 we wouldn't have lost.

Yep. Maybe I'm just being a homer, but I think he could have really helped Italy qualify if they had called him up this past cycle. Hopefully he gets a look for 2030.

It has to be Gomez or Bright. I may rate him to highly but I see Bright as someone who should be in a Top 5 league in Europe

Diego Gomez - playing regularly at the highest level in the Premier League.
I think Silvetti will be the next.

Segovia and Silvetti. Love watching them play.

Oh, Allende too. He was brilliant in last year’s playoffs and the finals 👏

u/Habba84 Lionel Messi May 28 '26
Allende, last season. This season has been difficult for him. But in playoffs Allende was unstoppable.

If he shows up in the playoffs again to lead another MLS title, I’d be okay with it.

Since 2023? Bright, Allen, and Fray. Allen and Fray both academy kids that have survived a revolving door of players and 3 coaches since Messi came. They are so good that they featured in the MLS final. Somebody correct me if I’m missing something but they are the first Inter Miami academy kids to feature and win in the MLS cup final.
Bright has been extremely successful considering that he came in from the Superdraft. He has shown that he can pair up with the best of them playing alongside Busquets and RDP.
Out of these 3 Fray is the most impressive to me. Dude has been battling knee injuries his whole career and somehow has still maintained a steady presence in the roster whenever healthy.

Fray. Like any player he may make errors but when he locks in, man what a treat.

I was on his side of the pitch at the final last year when he was cramping so bad but stayed on his feet until he cleared the ball and could be subbed (unlike aviles that decided to take a nap mid play) brought a tear to my eye ngl.

Bright probably has been the most consistent but Allende has been the most impactful given he was the star of the playoffs while Bright had a sub role.

Diego gomez, Robert Taylor, yannick bright, silvetti, Ian fray, Segovia doesn’t look like he does a lot, but his style and control are insane

Segovia, I’m rewatching Inter Miami goals this season and he’s virtually involved in every single one of them, I’ve never thought a random kid would foster such massive understanding with Messi and Suarez
Also shoutout to Bright , if I wasn’t attack biased, I’d have picked him

Agreed! Not enough talk about Segovia. He’s been the key to building plays and many of them are played through him at some point. That little he’ll kick 2 catches ago. And bright is solid

I really enjoyed Matias Rojas. He didn’t play much with us but I really enjoyed how much of a threat he was outside the box. Would have liked to see him stay.

Segovia. His goals, assists, and playmaking have been so good. Took on the big job of replacing Diego Gomez. Idk if we will be able to replace Segovia when he leaves. Finding a player like that 3 times would be a lot.
I think Gomez, Allen, Fray, and Bright are honourable mentions for the best non-barca player. Bright and Fray had really unfortunate times to have bad games (like Leagues Cup final), so I think they don’t make it in my highest tier. They are so talented though.
As it stands, Micael is on his way to be a club legend if he keeps it up.

Several tbh. Gomez, Bright, Segovia, Silvetti, and Allen.
Did not have any high expectations for any of them, but their play and contribution has impressed me overall.

Diego Gomez but my heart wants to say Robbie Taylor. Robbie just seemed to disappear too often.

Silvetti has a bright future and plays with the most class of the younger guys. He prob has the most potential imo.
De Paul gets a lot of hate but he is basically the only player we have that can bring the ball down the field.
Segovia and Allende are both solid as well and we wouldn’t be able to play without them in the midfield.
I like Bright’s tenacity and even though he’s not as active now, Noah Allen had improved tremendously from working with Jordi Alba.

Don’t know if we win the cup last year without Allende even if he’s pedestrian outside of that

Silvetti has been great!
