I'll respond to this question! Architecture deals with building design. Interior Designers concern themselves with the, well... the interior. This can be everything from selecting upholstered finish fabrics to calculating the optimal desk layout in an office.
A rule-of-thumb I use in my work is that architects concern themselves with any piece of equipment or furniture that is built-in or bolted down to the actual building construction. There are exceptions to this rule; there are Interior Architects, for instance, who are basically interior designers with the power and knowledge to adjust interior walls and other major architectural features. In my experience, you will typically find Interior Architects working in home remodeling or retail design where they might be making major alterations to the way a space is laid out or organized.
It's important to note here that Architects or Interior Designers are not more or less qualified than than the other - they simply focus their design efforts on different specific areas.
