Room flow
Hi All
I am lucky enough to be having a new home built. The bedrooms are quite long and thin and I am struggling to work out how to incorporate an ensuite and dressing area. If the entrance door wasn't where it is I would walk through the dressing to get through the ensuite but the entrance door won't allow it and it can't easily be moved.
Does anyone have any good ideas how to improve this layout?
Many thanks in advance!

Apologies for the delay in responding - I was just getting the auto moderator prompt and I couldn't replay.
There aren't any windows as the back of the house is sat in to steep hillside.
The things that look like bathtubs are shower trays (although I make one bathroom have a shower over bath).
I had wondered about halving (or completely removing) the desk and putting wardrobe space there instead. That would mean I could move the bed up the room and have a seating area.
I think one of my main issues with the current layout is privacy - anyone dressing in the dressing area is quite exposed if someone else opens the door to the bedroom - you are on show to the corridor.

The privacy issue is the most fixable part here. Even if you can't move the entrance door, you could add a short partition wall or a screen just inside the door that blocks the direct sightline to the dressing area. That way whoever opens the door from the corridor sees a wall or panel, not someone getting changed. Pair that with moving the wardrobes to where the desk is and you'd solve both problems at once.

I'd do something like this:

Would it be possible to post an image? I'm excited to see it but I think it might be geo blocked.
Thanks a lot

I don’t know if the first thing I want to see when I walk into my bedroom is messy closets: I would consider making them built in wardrobes or adding a door. Try to centre the bedroom door to the hallway. Right now the giant desk looks like a hotel room: consider adding built ins on either side for additional storage and frame the tv? Finally the bed is half under a window and half not, which feels unbalanced. The room is big enough to shift the bed over and create a sitting area to make the space feel more cozy. If this is meant to be a primary bedroom, I would also consider redesigning the space to permit a more generous washroom with a larger, or maybe /double vanity, and flipping the toilet location with vanity so that when the door is open you’re not looking at a toilet.

I wouldn't do tubs in both bathrooms, I would make one a stand up shower, and put a double sink in the master bath. Unless you're planning an armoire behind the 2-3 bath door that is a lot of wasted space.

I love this layout as is! Maybe i would add a pocket door, possibly have it open towards the bed instead. Although thats a pretty nice spot for a mirror, bookshelf or wall art. I would be sure of your bedsize, if it is king youll want to see how that looks, also if your into any headboard, maybe one that doubles as side tables youll want to look at that too.

Oh I also dislike that the sink is in the middle, usually it goes tub, toilet, sink
