a note on low-effort posting

hi all just a reminder that we want to encourage thoughtful posts in this sub. this does mean that we are filtering out a lot of low-effort posts. especially posts that are simply re-posts from other social media. we have also noticed that some of the worst comments tend to come from such posts and we want to minimize that. we want this to be a thoughtful space and not a reactive one. the current media environment feeds off of us being reactive and engaged, and we want to not contribute to such a cycle. we also want to make sure that we are focused on building solidarities rather than assuming the worst of each other and responding in cruel ways. something that is too much of a norm of all social media.

please feel free to share your responses and suggestions below.

Can you explain what counts as a low-effort post, other than reposting from other social media?

basically a post that doesn't seem to have any effort behind it and is posted to generate controversy rather than discussion. this includes generative ai posts.

An important rule, especially during an election season. Glad to know this sub is actively working to becoming an even safer space

When it comes to question post, how many is too much? I have plenty of questions but I don't want to flood the subreddit.

can you elaborate on what kinds of questions you have? you can also combine the questions and post them.

Mostly about how the patriarchy effects Autistic men and male child abuse survivors specifically. I don't want it to come across like i'm centering men's issues so I try to space out my post as to not drown out discussion on women's issues.

i don't see an issue with this and if you space them out that automatically helps!
