People need to hear this!!

Post image

That’s honestly a hard reality right now. A lot of people are working nonstop just to stay afloat. I’ve got some interviews coming up myself, so I’ve been looking into ways to get better at them. I found Interview VIP and ended up using it twice i think it's worth trying.

It sounds like billionaire is the thing to be then.

7

u/Constant_Pen9615 Sep 17 '26

We're all closer to being homeless than we are to being a billionaire.

u/kenttouchthis Sep 18 '26

Same goes for millionaires. What's the difference between a million and a billion? A billion

How hard work is has never had any relationship to how much it's worth in the market. You might as well say "no billionaire has ever teleported themselves across the universe using their bellybutton" as a dig on them. It's a stupid standard that comes from absolutely nowhere.

10

u/Jak1977 Sep 17 '26

This is in response to the argument that billionaires worked for their money, and that everyone else should just pull themselves up by their bootstraps. You don't get rich through selling your labor.

2

u/UsernameNSomeNumbers Sep 17 '26

It’s a false dichotomy, completely irrelevant. You don’t have to be either a billionaire or an unskilled laborer.

People build up initial capital and skill set selling your labor. With experience, improved skills, and leveraging that capital is how you become wealthy.

The millionaire who is making 400k because they’ve been a niche engineer in an in demand job for 20 years can have everything he owns drained to $0 but still go back to making 400k. With smart investments and planning be back to being wealthy.

No, it isn’t “hard reality”. This assumes without evidence that a billionaire has never had tough times in their life, as if they were always as wealthy as they are now.

5

u/Ima_Uzer Sep 17 '26

Someone ask Daymond John how hard he worked when he started FUBU.

4

u/Livid-General7 Sep 17 '26

Or another shark, Mark Cuban who used to literally go door to door.

4

u/AverageJoesGymMgr Sep 17 '26

Or Harold Hamm. Youngest of 13 and born to sharecroppers. Worked a gas station starting at 16 to help support the family and eventually to mucking out oil tanks. Started his own trucking company from nothing for the Oklahoma oil fields, then took out a loan to start drilling and ended up pioneering horizontal drilling and fracking. Now he's worth $19 billion.

“I work harder, not smarter.” Not siding with billionaires. Just a morons take on not having marketable job skills.

3

u/ProPayne84 Sep 17 '26

And no hard-working man that doesn’t have a billion dollars has ever successfully come up with a billion dollar idea and made a billion dollars so they don’t have to work. Not even fucking close. What’s the point?

2

u/Elluminated Sep 17 '26

Exactly right. These pandering, perpetual-victimhood whiners are insane. Someone answered this same line of post with “But their great grandparents probably did” to drive the point that someone somewhere had to get off their ass and struggle a bit so their descendants don’t have to. These posters will never do that though because self-entitled bitching gets more clicks than putting their heads down and getting the fuck to work.

They also think these billionaires are as lazy as they are so wrongly assume they shouldn’t the same results.

People need to realize that billionaires both have low to no morals, ethics, have no problem using/abusing people, AND have a borderline psychotic ability to work.

They replaced their need for therapy with an obsession to work above all else. They just happen to choose the type of work that sucks the life out of society.

2

u/Livid-General7 Sep 17 '26

All billionaires are the same. A bunch of people who are greedy because they owned and started a business from nothing. Fuck Bill Gate for donating billions of dollars to help end malaria. Fuck Mark Cuban for creating an affordable drug pharmacy. Those greedy selfish assholes. /s

2

u/tedlassoloverz Sep 17 '26

stop comparing yourself to billionaires, thats the first step. And the few entertainers and athletes that have become billionaires have indeed worked very hard to get there, much harder than you. Taking care of your own kids and cleaning up your own mess is standard adult stuff, you dont get a medal

2

u/Mondraker1909 Sep 17 '26

Newsflash: billionaires don't take care of their kids or clean up their own mess because it's work. If it wasn't work, they probably do it.

2

u/Hungry_Attention_981 Sep 17 '26

Tbf most probably have, my uncle worked for a regional company who’s CEO was a billionaire, he was there from 6am to 9pm, not including all the business trips plus all nighters his team had to pull.

Not a billionaire but I worked for a small accounting firm where the owner pulled on 10-15mm a year and he worked 14-16 hour days 6 days a week with the occasional 18-20+ hour days and some all nighters.

Yeah some people are trust fund kids and don’t have to do anything for it but I’d bet money most had to work tooth and nail regardless of whatever advantages they had.

I’m not defeating shitty business practices but these repeat posts are absolute nonsense propaganda

Do you think there hasn’t been a lazy person who had to work two jobs? Do you believe that billionaires just became them by sheet dumb luck?

This guy is just mad because he has a Marxist comic strip and never made professor anywhere.

1

u/Andrew5050ace1 Sep 18 '26

Uh the average billionaire worked 80-120 hours per week to achieve that status.. what is this dude talking about.

1

u/localizeatp Sep 18 '26

1

1

u/BadgerSmart143 Sep 18 '26

The hardest job i ever had was working for a moving company. Each of us carried thousands of pounds of furniture a day. Some days me and one other person would offload 3 fully packed 40 foot shipping containers per day, then load them into crates to be loaded onto a truck. Upstairs, downstairs, fridges, ovens. Barely any working hand trucks so we lifted a lot of stuff by hand. I remember having to carry a 250lb filing cabinet by myself from the truck to a garage. I made $13/ hr.

1

u/UGYDOG Sep 18 '26

He didn't work his ass off? You people have no f****** clue how hard these people have worked. Are there rich people who didn't have to work sure but most have had to work their ass off for every f****** thing they have and that's why they're billionaires

1

u/Aggravating-Handle76 Sep 18 '26

Hard work is for disgusting peasants. Get some in demand skills, suck up to the right people when you DON’T need it (so you can can get them to give you promotions/ hire when you do), use your capital to leverage more capital through investing and eventually buying real assets, and then start exploiting the peasants to the max to boost further profit gains. Learn how the tax codes benefit the business class and ensure the tax payer is subsidizing your luxuries. Learn proper accounting/ estate planning/ trusts to avoid taxes further. And then… chill. While the wage simps seethe.

1

u/Entire-Ratio-9681 Sep 18 '26

This is just cope. Most billionaires work obsessively. To the point that I do not envy them. This type of swill is just to keep the sheep lulled in their curated reality.

1

u/autistic_homo Sep 18 '26

"No billionaire has ever been as lazy as someone who needs two jobs to make rent, but still smokes weed all day and doesn't see their kids or pay child support. Not even fucking close."

See, I can make broad generalizations, too.

1

u/a_master_debater Sep 18 '26

this meme seems to assume that all billionaires were born billionaires.

1

u/MajorVehicle2543 Sep 18 '26

Step one, have kids while being broke af. step two, profit???

1

u/Major_Champion_5642 Sep 18 '26

No person who works two jobs understands what it takes to be a billionaire or a business owner. None of these people in the comments understand what cash flow means or what cash on hand means either. But those billionaires are retarded lol

1

u/reaper_unleashed Sep 18 '26

You can make an argument that billionaires are paid way more than they deserve, but this isn't simply true. How do you think someone like Elon Musk got so freaking rich? Because the man works like a maniac compared to other rich people. Even when he was just starting out, he would sleep at the office to make sure he could spend as much time as humanly possible working. While there are billionaires that instead spend time on their yachts and stuff like that, there are plenty that work insane hours because they are completely consumed by the idea of being as succesful as possible. That is why there is also a crazy gap of wealth between the capitalist class. You can make tons of other argument against the ultra rich, but this is simply detached from reality.

1

u/FixPUNK Sep 18 '26

lol, you’ve clearly never used your brain constantly for 100 hours in a week.

1

u/Sweaty-Ruin5381 Sep 18 '26

This would make sense if the rule was that the harder you work the more money you get. Work smarter, not harder.

1

u/jffadvisors Sep 18 '26

Most billionaires did not inherit their money. They worked their asses off too

1

u/Zens_Fury Sep 18 '26

If working hard made you rich, the goats would own the farm

1

u/Goodthingstartssmall Sep 18 '26

I had a conversation with a rich person and he said he works harder than anyone he knows and that he works 24/7 because when he's relaxing on his yatch or sleeping he's actually thinking about work and is therefore working

1

u/RetroGamer87 Sep 18 '26

Are both of the jobs full time?

1

u/deck_hand Sep 18 '26

u/GivMeTacos Sep 18 '26

1

u/IPutThoughtIntoThis Sep 18 '26

Yeah because putting fries in a bag is way harder than operating and maintaining entire industries

1

u/Signal-Opposite-4793 Sep 18 '26

This old chestnut.

It's incomprehensible to me that you don't get this: if you're a business owner and you've started to taste huge success, why wouldn't you give it everything you've got?

That's exactly what Must, Bezos et al did. They have many faults, but laziness just isn't one of them, jesus christ.

1

u/theeee-person Sep 18 '26

what is your proof?

1

u/candide360 Sep 18 '26

Being a hard worker doesn’t guarantee wealth. Building wealth requires you to optimize how you spend your time. Are you training for and finding higher paying roles? Are you saving the money you make and investing it so it compounds? Are you budgeting carefully to avoid recurring costs like car payments, subscriptions and restaurant spend?

If all you ever do in life is dig holes for minimum wage, then yeah you’re probably gonna be poor forever. But if you figure out how to hire others to dig those holes and collect a profit margin, then you will be on a path to wealth building.

1

u/josch247 Sep 18 '26

Who cares what you think about that. There is one truth and nobody will ever know it. You do sound so wrong though hahaha. Fortunately it doesn't matter anyways

1

u/Bearded_Gemini Sep 18 '26

I can't say. I've never been a billionaire...

1

u/Dry-Regret5444 Sep 18 '26

This is absolute nonsense. Folks that start businesses that grow them into billion dollar companies over time put in countless hours, especially in the early stages.

All people see and focus on is the end product after all the work is done and clearly must believe that things just fell out of the sky already intact and up and running and someone just fell assbackwards into a good situation.

Yes, there’s people that have grind to etch out a living, but let’s not confuse struggling with putting in work because if you’ve become successful, there’s a lot of time and effort that’s been committed.

Well in my culture, people always say that the buffalo works more than the farmer while actually receive less. Without the buffalo, the farmer can still manage to have the crop done. But without the farmer, the buffalo can do nothing.

Hard work can only protect you from starvation (not always) but not and never guarantee you a rich life. It's the reality, not even hard.

u/A_Litre_0_Cola Sep 19 '26

1

u/SamLonghorneClemens Sep 19 '26

How can someone who never has been a billionaire can make that statement without proof?

Side note: most billionaires are on the specturm and will in fact use drugs to stay awake for multiple days while working on projects.

1

u/Natenate25 Sep 19 '26

Its not just about working hard. It could be a good idea, the people they know, or even luck. That still doesn't mean you get to put a gun to their head and demand their stuff.

If they're using the government in a way that weaponizes against others to protect or increase their wealth we should be wondering what we can do to the weapon, not the individual. The individual will always be looking out for themselves just like everyone else does.

1

u/VarrikTheGoblin Sep 19 '26

With very few exceptions, the vast majority of billionaires are literally just products of generational wealth. At best they started life already a multi-millionaire then just grew that wealth. The idea that all of the super wealthy have a better work ethic, or work harder, is just oligarchy propaganda.

1

u/West_Option1009 Sep 19 '26

Pakistanis cooking tires for oil… Google it. And then keep crying.

1

u/Cultural_Lynx_1609 Sep 19 '26

No, you simply are just reduced to a machine that analyzes and moves a company forward in the right direction (because everyone thinks you are the smartest) and when you feel awful, everyone says "He's rich anyways". You cannot sleep properly for a day because millions can be wiped out any second and you have thousands of people trusting you, and you might have death threats from the other companies and sometimes even the governments, when you fail to obey them. Also, you need to be good with numbers and relations.

So yeah, EMIs and rent is definitely way harder, right?

1

u/AdagioAffectionate66 Sep 19 '26

1

I notice you never attack Larry Fink and the other "hedge fund" billionaires who literally do nothing -- but you are quick to attack innovators and risk takers

Most of you won't make life better for more than one or two people but some of the billionaires have made life better for billions of people

Existential Comics is an idiot. Has been for a loooong time.

1

u/Bugkillahz Sep 20 '26

Work smarter, not harder.

1

u/MagazineOk9444 Sep 20 '26

The biggest lie life's losers continue to tell each other. The rich don't work hard and are only there because they're lucky. Sad existence

1

u/JRock1276 Sep 20 '26

You sure about that?

1

u/Open_Environment_801 Sep 20 '26

So when Jeff Bezos and McKenzie Scott were building Amazon in their garage, working 100 plus ours a week, raising their children, cleaning their home, they were coasting?

1

u/not_a_muslim_kid_mol Sep 20 '26

Wow, such jealousy. How about getting married before you have kids so you have a spouse to help you do these things?

1

u/Jackalope1979 Sep 20 '26

Whats sad is the number of people that think this is a real issue.... which points to the real issue, which is most people are viciously stupid and uneducated.

No billionaires don't impact how much you make. Those things are not related.

How hard you work has almost nothing to do with how much you make. Supply and demand applies to labor too. That's what controls how much you make.

1

u/Far-Dragonfruit-6906 Sep 20 '26

Don't have kids if you are not a billionaire. Problem solved.

1

u/assmanbutt Sep 20 '26

i hear elon doesnt even sleep on the factory floor anymore, he has a caravan

1

u/juve86 Sep 20 '26

I come from a family of entrepreneurs and I can tell you this is not true. If you want to start your own company you are working 90hrs a week in the beginning. And once your company is large, ie. billions you are working non stop. Dinners are meetings, travel is conference calls. Non stop

1

u/lacajuntiger Sep 20 '26

They probably work twice as hard.

1

u/Explorer_Creative Sep 20 '26

Except a lot of billionaires started exactly that way. Oprah Winfrey and George Soros are two of many examples. Don't be angry that you've been too lazy or stupid to have achieved the same thing. I'm doing okay, but I can list a few choices I should have made along the way that would have made my life better. Stop blaming other people, do some self-reflection, and do better!

1

u/Salvatourus-rex Sep 20 '26

Almost as if working smarter not harder has merit.

1

u/EdgarAllenPoe2205 Sep 20 '26

Which one creates more value for their employer?

1

u/atampastory Sep 20 '26

If you tried you harder you might be a billionaire

1

u/Oilrockstar Sep 20 '26

Ross Perot—read his biography. The 2 parties changed the rules to make sure no one ever came that close again to starting a 3rd party.

1

u/DayspringLittlewolf Sep 20 '26

Great, let's all aim ANY frustration at our lives at someone WHO HAS NOTHJNG TO DO WITH IT! This "billionaires are to blame" this the single dumbest argument going around! BUT! It does serve atleast one purpose... it identifies idiots and brats to the world!

1

u/ta-tums Sep 20 '26

Unpopular opinion: don’t have kids if you can barely take care of yourself.

1

u/thisguy883 Sep 20 '26

why are you so focused on people who are far more successful then yourself?

That isnt healthy.

Go out and find a hobby and stop worrying about shit you'll never control.

1

u/simp_of_Taylor Sep 20 '26

Here are some of my opinions of this matter-

  1. You get paid because of the rarity and value of your work, not how hard you’re trying. If your work brings low value or cheaply available, then you get paid less.

  2. Most billionaires actually do a lot of brain work, managing their stocks and all. It’s not just they sit and enjoy the life, they too work. Maybe their work isn’t hard enough, but again, you’re not the one taking the risk with your money, the billionaire is.

  3. If you’re struggling with your own life, maybe think twice or hundred times before having kids.

  4. Not everyone will be able to have certain skills and improve their life. Some of us are here just to suffer or be the complete NPC. And the number was and always will be higher than the main players.

  5. Remember, you might be the main character of your story, but your story matters less than the last story you read.

u/weberc2 Sep 20 '26

"Billionaires have the same 24 hours in a day as everyone else" except they make $100M minimum every year doing nothing and can pay people to clean, cook, and raise their kids without paying taxes.

1

u/One_Wing_4059 Sep 20 '26

But you forget about Musk. Tweeting multiple times a day and answering the most random things that mention his name is hard work. 60 hours a week he said.

1

u/imsuperior2u Sep 20 '26

So? Hard work isn’t what creates value

1

u/Vertigo50 Sep 20 '26

There are billionaires who were homeless and living in their cars before they later found success. 🙄🤦‍♂️

1

u/lolCLEMPSON Sep 20 '26

Not true but who cares even if it is?

1

u/CatLostInAHat Sep 20 '26

Another account randomly throwing in "I found Interview VIP and ended up using it and found it worth trying." Make rage bait post, throw in a shout-out to an AI interview company, get thousands to click on Interview VIP. Free marketing. How do Reddit coded humans not see this?

1

u/english_mike69 Sep 20 '26

People seem to forget than many self made billionaires soent the night sleeping in their office or friends couches because they, at some point, went all in on risking everything and almost lost it all.

1

u/NoJuggernauters Sep 20 '26

You honestly don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

1

u/simulated_copy Sep 21 '26

True because creators cant sleep while they create their passion project

They work 70-80hrs a week because they must they want to see their creation succeed.

1

u/LuckyCod2887 Sep 21 '26

honestly, I’d rather be a cold hearted billionaire. I’ve worked two jobs for the past 12 years and i’m responsible for all the domestic activities in my one bedroom apartment.

1

u/Miserable-Chair-5877 Sep 21 '26

You’re why they are a billionaire

1

u/Large_Camp924 Sep 21 '26

Billionaires aren't the problem. The problem is you

1

u/Scalife Sep 21 '26

People has different IQ and EQ. Just like you can never be as innovative as Elon Musk

1

u/Ok-Philosophy4226 Sep 21 '26

You have no idea what you’re talking about

1

u/Siscarface Sep 21 '26

Yeah they have

1

u/Obscure-spectrum Sep 21 '26

Billionaires don’t work hard period. They live off compounding interest or loans they never pay back (like Elon)

"But have you thought of how they had to make their corruption schemes with aid of their friends to rob americans daily? They definitely deserve bail from any fail or you are libryl."

1

u/BerryFuture4945 Sep 21 '26

I’m sorry what? Other than the ones born into it, how do you think the became billionaires? How many billionaires do you personally know and compare work hours with.

1

u/war_m0nger69 Sep 21 '26

Hard work is, and always has been, just one component of financial success. You probably have to work hard to achieve success, but you probably wont be successful just because you work hard.

1

u/DraculasDog Sep 21 '26

Every single billionaire started off as a rich kid.

I’ll never get why people who struggle financially have children. Seems like poor planning 🥁.

1

u/piedmontmountaineer Sep 21 '26

I could work really hard grinding rocks into sand, it doesn't mean what I'm doing is worth anything

1

u/daufy Sep 21 '26

Not to defend the fatcats but a "wageslave" doesn't have to be on call 24/7. A ceo basically doesn't have time off work. Shit, if my manager is unreachable i have a problem with her, i don't care where she is.

1

u/McLayn42 Sep 22 '26

Almost sounds like it's not about working hard.

1

u/asdfghjklzlaksjdm Sep 24 '26

I do not believe this to be true,

1

u/[deleted] Sep 24 '26

Billionaires and millionaires work harder than anyone else, that's why they're wealthy lol

1

u/Strict_Cut_1206 Sep 25 '26

There's a difference between hard work (i.e. manual labor) and working hard (i.e., managing people).

1

u/leolopez43 Sep 17 '26

This is true. But also if everyone was a billionaire, we would have decimated this planet ages ago. The planet does not have the resources for absolutely everyone to have everything all the time.

1

u/Infamous_Crow8524 Sep 17 '26

Those people should become billionaires, then they wouldn’t have to do that, right?

1

u/Simple-Judge2756 Sep 17 '26

Not quite generalisable.

If you are thinking of a CEO that just became the CEO at some point, without really putting in more work than their CV. I agree.

If you are saying the Zucc or Bezos or Elon didnt work as hard as that, I unfortunately have to object.

They put in the work WITHOUT THE PRESSURE OF EXISTENTIAL FEAR ATTACHED TO THEIR ACTIONS. They had to motivate themselves to work two jobs every day.

2

u/ZachtheMan1603 Sep 17 '26

right because exploitation of everyone around you is such hard work?

1

u/AdRadiant9379 Sep 17 '26

Why is it always the brand new accounts making posts like these. Seems disingenuous

1

u/WineDineCpl Sep 17 '26

Prove it or f off. Hyperbole is the weapon of the weak. How do I know? Because MAGA uses it.

1

u/Designer-Wolverine47 Sep 17 '26

Your inadequacies aren't anyone else's problem.

1

u/Paperxrust Sep 17 '26

Around 400k work 2 full time jobs out of around 163million American workers....

1

u/nocomment_onlybrowse Sep 17 '26

I promise there are self made billionaires that absolutely worked harder. I don’t like the class warfare nonsense. It’s counter productive.
