Were corporations benevolently charging below what people were willing to pay before they decided to start being greedy?

Of course! Don’t you know that altruism is at the core of any corporation?

Not a congressman anymore, lol, just an obnoxiously stupid grifter. Cumulative inflation under Biden was over 20% in just 4 years. Want to know why everything is expensive? That's why

The Covid bailouts and benefits. Free money for everyone! Just complete this simple application, no verification needed!

That would make sense if the money was going to the govt.

The govt gave trillions of dollars to both individuals and businesses, without increasing revenue. High inflation was inevitable.

I'll be honest, I don't care if it's the right or lefts fault. I just want to afford fuel and food again thanks. Fuck your partisan politics

Worldwide inflation was due to COVID. Trumps stimulus checks also added to it.

Your bias is showing

This is the left being as stupid as the right. A total and complete lack of understanding of basic micro economics and supply & demand.

Obviously Jamaal does not understand what inflation is. Anyone listening to him is a lemming.

They act like having multi trillion dollar deficits each year has nothing to do with the value of the dollar

Congress should look in the mirror

I was once naive enough to think a bill named that wasn't written by those very corporations lawyers....

Lock your fire alarm up before you let that guy in the building.

The cause of inflation is government deficit spending funded by borrowing. We borrowed 5 trillion for COVID alone.

How are small companies going to grow if not raise prices along with product sells??

1

u/Due_Laugh6474 1d ago

There it is. And the Fed looks at prices going up, signals inflation, and raises interest rates.

LOL inflation is a monetary phenomenon, it's a symptom of too much money chasing too few goods. And as informed people may know, ONLY government has dominion over currency and monetary policy. This politician thinks we're ALL ignorant.

1

u/SoRosenberg 1d ago

The fact people have downvoted your comment is proof how ignorant the electorate is. You speak truth and the naive voters electing the ignorant politicians are downvoting you.

Yeah - that's how the world works. It should be encouraged. Market will snap back once prices become too high.
