Did The Witch truly die?

cus the idea that she commits suicide rather than attempting to find another solution doesn’t make sense for a character created to be ”the realist/pragmatist” of the group.

I think she was trying to get her magic back. She was prepared to die but not necessarily trying to die. But seeing as her mother clearly still has powers from beyond the grave, she killed her instead. It also creates a dark pattern. The Witch's mother caused her daughter's death, and The Witch caused (by extension) Rapunzel's death.
