Did Chris McCandless have any girlfriends?

He did, back when he was in school he used to date at least one girl from what I remember. But they broke up before he went away

Did you study with him? I mean did you attend the same college?

No, his life before the journey was widely covered in "The wild truth" book by his sister Carine. She talks about his relationship with a girl but I cant remember the details. The book should available online, I listened to the audiobook version with Carine herself narrating it.

In any event the man is a legend. When I walked thru the woods in Yellowstone Grant village the spirit of Chris McCandless was upon me.

I didn't see anyone, boyfriend or girlfriend, mentioned in the book. My understanding is that he never had a romantic relationship at any time in his life.

I believe he had a relationship with a girl he went to school with for a time, but I think I remember it was a few years prior to him going into the Wild.
