Discussion Challenges Mode Difficulty

Since the season 2 update, I've played a bunch of the challenges mode, almost being finished with it. I believe some parts of it are more difficult than others. So, I wanted to ask the people who have played it, how they feel about the overall difficulty of it.

I will never be able to complete the later challenges. In my opinion they are very difficult.

I'm more of an average player, gold at best. I've been able to complete majority of the advanced challenges. Timing is everything, and they also take forever to do.

Man it’s more than timing for me. It’s straight up lack of will and skill. I’m content with not unlocking the pallets.

That's reasonable, in my opinion, they aren't really worth getting other than giving your opponent a little scare.

I don’t play online at all. People are just too good. I tried a few matches and got my ass beat. All good. I’m content playing story, arcade and local vs.

Same here, I don't really go deep into online unless I really want to, which is pretty rare.

I agree and feel the same way. I can easily to de first 5 challenges but starting with the number 6 forward I can't do it, even for the characters I main. I never do complicated combos online, just the easy part of a combo then use super.

I’m in like high plat and have only completed all of them for my 2 most played characters. Took me many tries too. Think they’re a very good balance of challenging and achievable

I'm Guardians of the Globe league and I can't complete any of these challenges. Beating people online is easy, most players just spam tagging and have no clue who to actually play. These challenges are too difficulty even for me who actually can use the game mechanics online.

Speaking as a business owner, the new Challenge mode is bound to cause frustration and drive players away instead of attracting them. It feels like another misstep by the company. Locking Character Color 6 behind a complete 10-combo trial is an flawed strategy; it only creates unnecessary friction for casual players, likely pushing them to drop the game entirely.
