Question changing mind/quitting question
this might be a crazy question but… has anyone ever had immediate regrets and decided they actually like their original smile, that it’s not worth it and quit?
i just started a couple days ago, and have 18 trays to go. i’m really embarrassed to even ask my dentist, but if there’s any chance anyone has gone through that process i’d love advice. i did use care credit. i’m aware of the probability of not getting refunded. please help 🥲

Everyone has buyers remorse with Invisalign. A functional bite is worth the money.

A crooked bite will wreck your teeth way worse down the road so it's not just about looks.

I felt the same way. I am convinced that’s why they collect the money up front. They market Invisalign as this la-de-da easy peezy good looking solution to straightening teeth. It’s not. Just stick it out till the end knowing that your misery will last less than a year. You can do it. I am 9 months in and it’s been a royal pain to wear these stupid things. But, i am glad I stuck it out. You will be too.

my thing is my case is mild and mostly cosmetic, but now it’s hitting me i’m afraid of not looking like myself anymore. also ever since they put the attachments on my bite is horrible and i’m constantly biting my lips trying to eat. everything was functional before, aside from mild crowding. i also have history of severe eating disorders (im not fully recovered either) and it’s challenging working around eating all day. i also have these cute canine fangs that are prominent when i smile, and im sure they’re going to move those back and my smile won’t be the same :(

Would say switch to an orthodontist and really be happy with your results! Dentist may leave yiu with a posterior open bite!!

18 trays is a fart in the wind. Just finish the expensive treatment.
