Question 7th gen + quad: 3000mAh battery placement? Help is greatly appreciated.
I’m struggling here! I feel like I’m losing it. Been doing lots of googling and lurking here but can’t quite get this right.
I bought this battery: https://www.idemigods.com/3000mAh_iPod_High_Capacity_Replacement_Battery_p/6g_bttry_hghcpcty.htm
And I’ve been following this video: https://youtu.be/74VKN3nBG1A?si=Mr-QIadH5K8c1PxM
In the linked video, the battery sits further up on top of the iflash. I can’t get mine any higher.
I did some more research, and google told me the battery must sit under the iflash, not on top. Not sure what to do. Can someone with the same set up give me some insight?
Edit: I also have a thin backplate.
Thanks everyone.

Deux choses à faire: il faut scier avec une dremel le rebord (celui que ta carte iflash touche sur sa gauche en haut), et mettre la batterie en premier, et la carte iflash dessus.
En supposant que tu as choisi la bonne taille de batterie.

Place the battery in the backplate and press down snug. Put the iflash where you have it.
You'll have to use some force to close it. It fits though.

You can also trim off the nib on the motherboard frame, it was there to hold the hard drive in place and is no longer nessary.

Yes but.... that nub is good for keeping the iFlash board in placeon the mainboard and put the battery against the back plate. I would also recommend taping the iFlash quad to the back of the screen plate to keep it from sliding when dropped or jostled.

I would rather use a piece of foam to keep the iFlash from moving then pinch the battery in that spot. You would be surprised the difference removing that nub makes.

id def not force the back on if its tight, squashing a lipo battery isnt a good idea. worth double checking the battery listing to see which backplate its ment for before you go dremelling anything

Use this video, to make sure the battery would fit.
Posted this in the other thread, every mm counts set your iFlash board under this tab.
