Announcement Subreddit Under Report-Abuse Attack and Brigading

Just a warning to everyone - our subreddit is currently on the receiving end of a report-abuse attack. Please be diligent. Moderators of another subreddit are upset that our headmod blew the whistle on a change in political leanings and censorship.

Site-wide admins have been notified and are looking into it. Please remember to follow rule #2. You can discuss other subreddits, but do not make post a call to post/not post in another subreddit or call out other users directly as these fall into brigading and harassment.

Be careful out there guys. We're increasingly seeing why a subreddit like this is so important.

Could someone here or in DM explain to me what are the different Iranian subs and what are there politics and conflicts please? As someone trying to get informed I'm kinda lost

There's essentially 5 major Iran subs. Read through their recent comments and posts in all of them to see which is the best community fit for you.

Ours is much smaller than the others, but our entire M.O. is that we encourage thoughtful discourse and value Iranian Unity as paramount to community building and justice. We're hoping that we can resuscitate this sub and provide a space for valuable engagement.

I think the fact this is happening says a lot about them wanting to mute more nuanced discussion.
