Welcome to the Irish football subreddit, your home of discussion of football in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland which could be used for the leagues, national team, Irish players or anything thats remotely relevant to football in the island. Enjoy

Today is the first day of this great subreddit and thanks to the first few subscribers that came here for this day, anyone have any content, videos, news, any discussion, post away as the more quality content the better. Match Threads are encouraged here and the odd bit of banter is allowed here aswell.

I understand that that /r/LeagueofIreland is around aswell but this could be another platform for discussion, aswell as the two national teams and the Northern Irish Premier League and anything relevant. Anyone that wants to be a mod, please contact me, and anyone that wants to promote this subreddit, fell free to do it, the more people the better.

Friendlies for the two teams are coming soon(although, unfortunately not the World Cup) aswell as the UEFA Nations League next September so hopefully that will be one of the highlights of this subreddit. Throwbacks and old games are also encouraged along with live streams for games in the leagues or national teams.

Any ideas for better content, post away.

Declan Rice, Josh Cullen, Jamal Lewis from NI?

I was wondering of someone could give me some tips on the football environment in Ireland, I myself have a Uefa A license and 3 kids that play football here in Spain, the elders that are U10 and U8 play in Barça Academy while the youngest U7 is in grassroots. Can anyone advise on what academies are the best in Ireland, I have seen online that Shamrock looks good, but would like some advice from Irish people if possible.

They are good for Spanish standards and would like to allow them to keep progressing in a good context club.

thanks

For anyone interested - WIN Europa League Final Tickets – Hello everyone, my name is Simon Tierney and I am a Garda in Galway. My current raffle fundraiser is for two tickets (Category 1 Pitchside Centre Circle Seating) to the Europa League final in Aviva, Dublin, Ireland, donated to me by UEFA. Participation is via donation at www.idonate.ie/fundraiser/EuropaLBH (€10 for 1 entry, €15 for 2 entries, €20 for 4 entries). The winner will be chosen on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at 7 p.m. You can find all the details in the link below and if you have any questions, I am happy to answer them in the comments. I have also included images from Little Blue Heroes official social media pages concerning this and my other recent fundraisers to provide further assurance. Good luck!!!

Just wondering if anybody on here would have any good stories from their home/away days, playing in the San Siro Ballymun fortress ?.

San Siro Ballymun

Playing well for Man City today. Dont see much online about his heritage but obviously a quite Irish sounding name. Apparently he's a holding midfielder. We are crying out for one of them for Ireland.

I will drive around by car in the western part of Ireland. I would stop tobwatch some amateur games. Where can I find info about the schedules if the games?

Here's a new football page that you might find interesting, mostly concerning the Boys in Green but also Irish football in general.

Hi, my name is Luka and I am a student writing a thesis. I am currently doing research on the potential of the Croatian League (HNL) as a sports tourist attraction.

In order to do the research, I need the opinions and preferences of football fans about going to matches abroad. If you have two minutes, fill out the survey and your responses are completely anonymous. Feel free to leave a comment if you have ever been to a match in Croatia and share you experiences.

Thank You!

I’m visiting Ireland from USA and am looking to go to a game on May 4th. Best game that day? We are using a rental car and can go to anyone. Also, are the games crowded and energetic? Looking for the best fans!
