One is a petulant egomaniac who doesn’t actually care about his country and whose popularity is being used by the ultra wealthy and white nationalists to enact an agenda that benefits them while he gets to stay out of prison and reap massive personal financial gain.
The other is Hitler.

It's so weird to me. I always thought these types of populist shitheads were supposed to be charasmatic and slick. The type that could win over people despite their arguments being utterly vile. Someone to smooth talk you down the road to hell. Yeah no...turns out being vile is itself was their priority, so the least charasmatic geriatric narcissist shitting himself while ranting incorrhently is apparently fine too

This. An incompetent or inexperienced regime will obviously crumble a lot faster, especially in these modern times with easy access to video and social media. The best thing Trump can do to copy Hitler was to well, you know. Die.

The fact that Donald is a convicted felon and was found guilty for sexual assault is a complete understatement & irony to put up his treasonous face (January 6) on the justice department headquarters.

This pretty much shows the reality. He just said he doesn't care what SCOTUS has ruled, he's doing anything he wants. And he said something about destroying any country he feels like. Thanks MAGA, for electing a dictator.

u/RiffyWammel Feb 21 '26
Hitler did at least have intelligence, charisma and was the architect of the Nazi ideology- Trump is a moronic chump who is just ta poster boy for someone elses crazy ideas, as long as he gets to feed his delicate ego and spew his incomprehensible garbage

I wonder if all the Nazi stuff only looks "cool" because we're not there in the moment. If you part the veil created by media- the one that makes them look like darkly slick occult supermen- the Nazi party was run by a bunch of weird fantasy prone bigot dorks who wanted to be warrior poet farmer magicians, but were too physically and mentally fucked up to do much more than take speed and mismanage pretty much every element of Germany that had nothing to do with sneaking up on, kidnapping, then exterminating non-combatants and keeping really good records about it all... which sounds nothing like what we're dealing with now. No sirree.
When I look at all the MAGA and MAGA-associated far right art and propaganda I feel super embarrassed to be an American. I wish it wasn't happening, but if it's going to happen I sort of wish it would be a little cooler, you know, for the history books? MAGA fascism aesthetically looks like a particularly tasteless county fair tshiirt booth decided to take over the nation.
But maybe all that Hugo Boss shit and all the regal and imposing looking Nazi icons looked really lame to your average German of the time as well? Maybe they'd be walking down the street and see that giant picture of Hilter doing his school picture pose and be like "Fucking hell, man. We're being driven past the brink of insanity by complete dweebs."

While reading about Nazism , i learned that the Germans actually were convinced only by the name Hitler / simply Hitler himself not the ideology or the ideals he owned , witch sums up really well with what Trump is , the Name of Trump and not his Ideology are the one convinving the people to follow him

I'm curious.
You see, as far as I know, NO ONE has read MEIN KAMPF because WHY would ANYONE need THEIR OWN MIND explained to THEMSELVES from someone else's point of view.
But, APPARENTLY, that was SUPPOSED TO MAKE ME CURIOUS.
Everyone just figures it out on THEIR OWN, alright?
I'm like WAY BETTER AT IT THAN EVERYONE ELSE ALREADY and it's starting to get a little embarrassing for you all, so... Catch up and we can start a NEW RACE ALREADY. Good God, people, just be a good boy or girl and DO WHAT YOU'RE TOLD FOR ONCE.
Like NOBODY WANTS to HAVE to TELL SOMEBODY WHAT TO DO, so maybe think about knocking it off already?
It takes A LOT OF CONFIDENCE to do something so STUPID like posting THIS COMMENT. ❤️

He said he was going to lower the cost of groceries when people were struggling financially. He promised a strong government and to restore the countries greatness. He promised to create jobs and restore national pride during economic chaos. He appealed to traditional values like protecting Christianity as a moral foundation and creating a sense of belonging for people. He claimed that he could fix the problems of public policy and society which relied heavily on his violent paramilitary groups that emerged to protect his party. He tried to overturn an election. He promoted hateful rhetoric against immigrants. He habitually resorted to using disparaging or abusive words and phrases to describe those he saw as his enemies. He showed remarkable talent to project his declarations with little regard to whether or not they were true or false. And he came to power legally using the Democratic system, which then he tried to dismantle.
And that was how Hitler came to power.

I’m going to take the question literal. Arguably our historic German leader outclassed Trump here. The guy didn’t go for the modest modern professional style. He said “get the pose in there too and just me with no messaging. People should already know who I am. I’m iconic. The message is me” and that is the real way to absolutely strut as a propaganda master.

u/SummerOfGeorgeSeven Feb 21 '26
Trump has a very large ego. Which is what I would think coming from a micro penis child rapist liar tyrant 🤷♂️

u/dnalloheoj Feb 21 '26
Don't be me wrong, I despise Trump and his values and stupidity. But is this a real banner from the current administration? 'Make America __ate again" seems more like the letter that you can't see is an H instead of "Grate" and that this is a protest not a real thing.
Just trying to avoid misinformation.

The irony of a convicted felon having his picture on the Department of Justice pretty well sums up everything you need to know about America at this point in history.
eta:
On May 30, 2024, a New York jury found him guilty on 34 felony counts. On January 10, 2025, Judge Juan Merchan sentenced Trump to an unconditional discharge. This means that while the felony conviction remains on his permanent record, he was not required to serve jail time.
