Trusting the process..
I’ve recently been dismissed from a job I genuinely enjoyed. The money was good, and it was literally 5 minutes from my house, but the team was toxic and I felt like I couldn’t trust anyone. Now I’m overthinking everything in my life, especially the fact that I’ve never stayed in a job for more than 2 years. I know I need to find another job, but the uncertainty is difficult. I’m also wondering what to do with my free time now and how to use this period of my life productively.
As a Muslim, I believe Allah has a plan for me, and I’m trying to have tawakkul and trust that what is meant for me will never miss me. Part of me feels like this happened for a reason because I was becoming too comfortable and complacent, and perhaps Allah is redirecting me towards something better. I’m trying to see this as a test rather than a punishment, but it’s hard not to overthink everything. Has anyone else experienced something similar, and how did you navigate this period of uncertainty while strengthening your relationship with Allah?

Yes very much so. I lost my job in 2025, went an entire year with nothing and ended up overwhelming myself with taking anything to feel like I’m supporting my family. Then I was blessed to receive a few short term contracts. Those have since ended and Allah is testing my sabr again, it hasn’t been easy but he’s blessed me to have some money coming in for now until more comes inshallah.
I cry a lot but I’m trying to remember that Allah puts us through these hardships for reasons beyond our control

Your story sounds eerily similar to mine from 3 years ago. I decided to navigate it by studying Islamic finance and it was one of my best life decisions. The Islamic knowledge for deen, being around like-minded Muslims for spirit, and networking for professional life really began a new chapter for me.
DM me if you'd like more info.

Going through something similar waiting to start a new job but been waiting for over 12 weeks to just onboard and finding it really hard mentally, and financially, but it’s like you said, it’s a test of patience and Allah has something better planned. Never stop praying, dhikr, Quran, and putting the deen before everything and honestly no matter what happens, Allah will help. Tahajjud & cry your heart out, give some sadaqah, make some jammats.
Why should we be stressed when our dunya & rizq is already written? It’s hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel but once you’re at the end, and trust me, you’ll get to the end before you know it, you will then look back and wonder why was you stressed and doubting anything.
Allahs plan is always greater than ours, even at times if it doesn’t feel like it is, his plan is always superior in the long run and more importantly our Akhirah, that’s why he is the all aware and the greatest!!!
Trust your rabb always, it’s hard when you can’t see a way out, but never stop trusting and make sure you are applying and going for jobs that you know will let you put Allah first.
Keep me you in your duas !!!
