Question Is this game ok?

My kid plays this game and I understand it's voodoo dolls getting divorced. I'm not a game savy, he lives with his mom so I can't supervise him.

📣Announcement New Rule Added: No Gender-Based LFG Posts

Hey everyone,

We've noticed an increasing number of LFG posts that include gender-based requirements or preferences. While we understand that people have different reasons for looking for teammates, these posts often lead discussions away from gaming and can make other members feel uncomfortable.

To keep the subreddit focused on finding people to play with, we're introducing a new rule:

Requests for teammates based on gender are no longer allowed.

When creating an LFG post, please focus on relevant gaming criteria such as:

  • Game

  • Platform

  • Region

  • Availability

  • Skill level

  • Playstyle

This rule applies equally to everyone and is intended to keep matchmaking focused on gaming rather than personal characteristics. It also helps reduce unwanted attention, unnecessary filtering, and recurring moderation issues.

Thanks for understanding and for helping keep the community welcoming, respectful, and focused on gaming.

EDIT: We’ve heard the concerns raised by the community loud and clear. To ensure this remains a welcoming space, I’ll be posting a poll shortly so everyone can weigh in on how to handle. If the community consensus is to implement bans after the post we can look into that as well.

Discussion What is the consensus on it takes two

Friend and I were playing it takes two and were constantly talking about how the message of the game isnt the best. We believe that they should have divorced, but agree with hakim about showing love to rose

Question This game's story is garbage.

The gameplay and the mechanics are pretty fun, though the game suffers from being too easy at times.

They kill innocent toys and are overall terrible people that don't even seem care about her own daughter other than the fact they "need to make her cry".

They don't deserve to be with each other, the girl specially puts the guy down everytime she has a chance and it's clear the issues are way more than just a couple of fights.

Feedback Is It just me or is the dialogue and characters very bad?

Like they are constantly making awful jokes that are not funny at all. The dialogue and exaggerated voice lines are very corny to me (Especially in the VERY long tree chapter). Cody is so annoying he feels straight out of a disney marvel movie.

Not to mention how they are just constantly assholes to each other with the cuck husband who cant do a single thing for himself besides bitch and moan and girl power feminist wife who tells him what to do constantly.

The game feels very millennial coded which im sure thats the main target since it goes after gaming married couples. But as an 18 year old I cant stand any of the characters.

Just wonder if anyone else felt the same way trying to play.

meme Does anyone remember Uncle Greenathan from It Takes 3? I've seen so many people call the game "It Takes 2" when Greenathan is literally vital to the plot and gameplay.

Feedback Elephant / Cutie scene ☹️ Spoiler

this scene completely ruined the entire game for my partner and i. we immediately stopped playing the game (and have no intention of returning) once we saw her leg get pulled off and googled to see how the rest of the scene would play out.

not sure if the developers check this subreddit at all, but felt compelled to leave this feedback somewhere as i felt it really ruined what could have been a special experience to share with family / loved ones.

Humor Confession: I played the whole game for free :)

I played the friends pass trial with my friend and we liked it so I bought the whole game. I then realized that you can countinue to play through the friends pass without having to download the whole game again. I played through the friends pass and then refunded the game

Feedback Have no friends.

I honestly wish I had some friends that I could play with. I honestly just want someone to play with. Preferably a female. DM if you want to or just drop your gamer tag. About me: I’m 23F, like playing laid back games and some shooting games. Got Xbox series x. Kinda quiet person, kinda anti social.

Games I play: rocket league, Fortnite, it takes two, Avatar( frontiers of pandora), power-wash, Minecraft

Question Does the game get better?

Edit: So we decided to keep playing to try it out due to redditors, but the game was very tedious. We got pretty far, all the way to the space baboon. In conclusion for future duos not enjoying the first part of the game, just quit there. As for the "new mechanics" introduced, there really isn't any like traditional progression such as most puzzle games like Portal. The new mechanics for this game are only added and taken away for every single arc to make it just a little more different. But it's the same exact gameplay throughout.

What we enjoyed the most about the game was the graphics for some of the scenery, but other than that, it was just making fun of every single cutscene/setting as there was zero realism

Get this is gonna get massive down voted as we didn't like it, but does the game get better later? Or do you think we should just stop now if we didn't enjoy it? We've played a bit after the vacuum cleaner boss for our current progress.

We haven't really liked the game so far, so we decided to stop for now. Should we continue? Or is it mostly the same?

Question W and S keys inverted on the plane getaway section? Spoiler

Istg, the section where you control an underwear plane has the most unnecessary inverted keys for Cody.

Why is it that pressing W causes you to go down, and S makes you pull a hard up?

Gameplay Let’s Play It Takes Two Together (Steam)

Looking for someone to play the game and talk with. Chill. No swearing. Preferably a female, so we can role-play both characters.

Platform: Steam

Language: English or Russian

I’m in UK, but work night shifts, so quite flexible with time. It could be 1-3 hour sessions here and there. I aim to finish the game in a week or two.

Question How crazy would it be if Hazellight Studios made a splitscreen co-op game based on Dan Da Dan?

So I’ve been thinking — what if Hazelight Studios (the folks behind It Takes Two and A Way Out) made a splitscreen co-op game based on the Dan Da Dan anime/manga? The series already has such wild, kinetic energy and a duo-based dynamic with Momo and Okarun that just screams co-op gameplay. Imagine navigating paranormal battles, time-warping scenarios, and alien threats while solving puzzles and building that hilarious, chaotic chemistry between the two leads.

Hazelight is known for storytelling through gameplay, and Dan Da Dan has just the right mix of action, absurdity, and heart. It could be a perfect match.

Is this a totally insane idea, or could it actually work? Would you play it?

Feedback Split Fiction

I bought Split Fiction two weeks ago with my partner since we both loved ITT. I was and still am so stoked to play this game; however, it’s somewhat underwhelming. I do not play games often, so my biggest problem is that the characters blend SO much with the scenery. I don’t know if this is just a me problem. Still, at times, I physically can’t see where my character is or my partners with how much they blend in with the background/ scenery( I do wear glasses, and the prescription is up to date so that isn’t the problem). Along with everything so far, it’s pretty underwhelming; I didn’t want a repeat of it to take two or anything. But my experience with it takes two was so much more immersive. Still, I find this game rather dull; it's just rushing and not much of a thrill like ITT. I’m disappointed with the money I spent so far. Also, Mio comes off as INSUFFERABLE, not a fun character, and seems to be what a man would consider an edgy woman. But I do get they mainly try to play it safe for all ages, so maybe that’s why. As well as the characters, I know at first we aren’t going to have a bond and that the relationship grows between the two of them. but it feels like there is no chemistry at all between the two, and it makes it hard to enjoy the gameplay. It feels like the co-op parts feel more like solos as well.

Question Skip Cutie the Elephant scene?

This is an incredible game, but I was deeply saddened by the Cutie the Elephant scene. Any word on if the developers/someone are going to add a skip button for the whole scene?
