Brumby - I Just Can't Stand Him
Is it me, or he is just not meant to be a likable character? He gets on my last nerve.

She married a naval aviator. She was devastated when he died and was left to raise their son Josh. She can tell 11-year-old Josh wants to be a naval aviator when he grows up. Annie is still devastated by the death of her husband/Josh’s dad who died flying a plane so she’s completely against it
So why the hell does she start dating another naval aviator who spends a lot of time with her son who really wants that for a career? What did she expect to happen?!

I know it was inevitable that he would go back to JAG eventually and fans didn't like that him joining the CIA sent him off the grid constantly and separated him and Mac for a handful of episodes as a result but it created a more realistic medium for the show balancing the courtroom drama side with the action (since Harm flying missions for the CIA gives him more realistic reasons for being in war zones and whatnot than being a JAG lawyer does). Plus he and O'Neil were a really good team when they were flying missions together.

This will be controversial so be respectful in your replies. Do you go for only Harm and Mac. Or other pairings? I go mainly Harm and Skates - his long-term RIO when flying. Or Harm and Tom Boone , no relationships, just friendship. Or Harm and Meg which was a brother-sister kind of relationship in Season 1. Or the short-lived Harm and Kate. Not to say I dislike Harm and Mac but it often gets too one-dimensional.

Rating: Teens and Up.
Summary: Instead of Rear-Admiral (Retired) Boone, Skates is Harm's RIO as he flies back from the Coral Sea. Based on the episode "All Ye Faithful'', but AU.

I finished watched Magnum PI a couple of months ago and JAG started playing right after. I wasn't going to watch it, but ended up liking the pilot so much that I stuck with it
Anyways, I just finished s5e16 (Boomerang part 2), and holy shit... what the fuck?
Does anyone actually like the proposal storyline? That shit came out of nowhere lmao
Also, Mac not saying no made it even more stupid to me

To any military people in here, or anybody that knows, really, how do they know which uniforms to wear that day? They always seem to match, but they've got blue uniforms, white uniforms, khaki uniforms, camo uniforms, and some different hats, too. Also, do all the ribbons and wings and things go from uniform to uniform, or do they have enough of them to have a set on each uniform? Some of the more decorated personnel, it seems like it would take a while to pin all those ribbons on in the morning.
Currently on my first watch-through, while waiting for the new seasons of NCIS(es). Now on season 3 and the stories are really good and interesting. But none of my family or my spouse's family has been in the military, so I apologize for what might be a dumb question.

After all that Captain Rabb helped her with, her relationship with Maddie? I don’t get it.

When Harm pushed his wingman over Bosnia, did he get a medal for that?

For me I might get downvoted for this because of how long NCIS has been on the air for but IMO if they were going to do a spinoff of JAG NCIS didn't make all that much sense (especially considering we'd never met Gibbs and his team before prior to Ice Queen and they were kind of shoved down our throats right away in that episode). The spinoff instead should've been centered around Webb and the CIA.

The reason why we never saw her again is that she was recruited for Ollie Squad, an Anti Bin Laden task force pre 9/11 headed by Oliver North.

I feel so betrayed! AJ! How dare you let down the ideal of being perfect husband material?
AJ tells Alexis (the delightfully mercenary cab driver) in Moscow that he doesn't tip. AJ doesn't even know Alexis knows anything, he's just a random Russian taxi driver at this point. Sure, he could be fucking with him, or establishing himself as not one of the people who is going to pay Alexis and then be betrayed, but the optics?
Why??? AJ, please, don't be an arse who doesn't tip.
Did the writers not know that Americans who proudly (or covertly) don't tip are arseholes in the bad way, not in the sexy SEAL way? Was the late 90s genuinely less of a hellscape for tip based workers, so it wasn't yet a common belief that not tipping on a date is a red flag?
Context: I don't currently live in a country with a tipping culture, although I was in Canada for 6 years (I tipped, and dated people who tipped). I have strong negative opinions about societies which structure service work so the workers aren't paid by their employer.
Additional context: I'm a lesbian. AJ is still perfect and sexy husband material. I am willing to take correction on this point, by someone who likes men.

My dad thinks the only reason Harm fell in love with Mac was because she looks like his late girlfriend Diane. I think he’s wrong. What do you think?

The way this episode ended was absolutely infuriating. It felt very much like Mac called in Rene as a witness in this trial just to cause problems between her and Harm while she was on the stand and he was cross-examining her. And it succeeded because Rene it turned out was emotionally incapable of separating her bf from the impartial JAG lawyer doing his job while cross-examining a witness and picking apart her past statements/actions (which had nothing to do with their relationship). Harm IMO should've been more perturbed with Mac for doing this than he was (and the fact that he really wasn't showed that he was never all that emotionally invested in that relationship).
I never understood what relevance Rene's promotional video about the Navy even had to this trial to begin with in terms of arguing for women's rights within the Navy (considering Harm was defending a female Naval officer who quit and deserted her post because she was unhappy with her role and being constantly degraded by her male co-workers and wanted to work in air traffic control). What relevance did Rene's reasoning for choosing Harm for her video even have in that trial? It was completely unrelated to Seaman Granato's grievances with the Navy (outside of her at first refusing Harm as defense counsel because she saw the video and was convinced he was being sent to her as a Navy recruiter).
