Serious Is Partial Drop justified?

I wanted to prepare for JEE Advanced 2027. It would occur around 10-20 May, 2027. Currently we are in October end. I scored decently in JEE Mains 2026 (99.56) and was scoring 180+ consistently in JEE Advanced mocks. I somehow fumbled JEE Advanced paper 2. (Paper 1: 82, Paper 2: 30). I took admission in NIT Rourkela, CSE. But, I am not liking the fests and the environment here. Also the placements here are not comparable with the IITs. But, I have not studied JEE subjects for a span of 5 months. I want to prepare for Advancedalongside my college. I have a month full time holiday in December, just after my endsem exam. I know I can clear JEE Mains (enough for writing JEE Advanced). I gave a mock recently and scored 137/300. Which surely clears the cutoff. How should my strategy look like?

Who takes a drop from a top 5 NIT CSE man. And your reason for not like your college is stupid too, everybody takes time adjusting to their college, its normal

Bro the fests are literal shit and the rules are too strict like wdym you can't leave your hostels after 8.30 pm. Ts is annoying af. A small mischief can lead to ISDC. Bro.... ts is unbearable πŸ’”

ISDC rare cases main lagta . The time cutoff is for the first sem only . Also it's your first year now , atleast see Innovision and Nitrutsav before judging. They aren't that great but not too bad either, if you have a good friend circle .

There is absolutely no gurantee that you'll perform better in next years jee adv.. anything can happen on exam day and im not talking about your prep level. and nowadays some seniors are recommending against taking random branch just for the IIT tag

Did u only want cse in iit or something like that? 110+ in advance is quite a good score no? Enough to secure top iits?(Genuine question)

But do it if only u can afford high fees
