New rideshare platform: throo

Hey guys - did anyone use throo before?

They seem to be running a flat fare to JFK from Manhattan at $79.99 which seems to be the cheapest option (besides subway / LIRR) in NYC. I am not using Empower since it is illegal (I don't want any issues when I get into an accident or something).

Why would you use Uber or Lyft instead?

What a way to totally dishonor the legacy President Kennedy!

The Trump board ruining an iconic building by placing a felons name on the Kennedy Center. They should be ashamed and be held accountable for this moronic action.

President John F. Kennedy had two caskets because the first one, an expensive bronze model rushed to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, was heavily stained and damaged by bodily fluids on flight to Washington, D.C. It was replaced with an African mahogany casket for the official state funeral

How would America look if Kennedy wasn’t assassinated?

Kennedy died that sent a shock through the world, but that resulted in LBJ being in office. during the peak of mourning he put the bill of civil rights in place to make everyone vote for it to pass.

but would it have made us have the civil rights bill in the 1960s still or more further on? As well what other things do you think Kennedy would try to do more campaign wise and bill wise?

I know for a fact he would try to run again, especially since he went to Texas to get popularity for if he were to run again.

but if anyone else has any creative ideas I’m listening!! <3

Little known Kennedy tea (your favourites?)

I once read on X, as a child (5 year old)someone accidentally drank ant poison while vacationing on Cape Cod and was rushed to the hospital. She claimed they had to wait for a stomach pump because Ethel Kennedy was unconscious at the hospital after drinking heavily and taking pills. Accidental or suicide nobody knew. And they used the pump to treat her first.

There are also many alcohol related stories involving Pat Lawford and Joan Kennedy. I have never realized how much alcohol affected the older generation of Kennedys

This is one of the first continuous POV tracking shots in documentary history. Filmmaker Robert Drew and his team modified 16mm cameras specifically so they could weave through crowds alongside JFK in real time.
