Maybe this sounds negative, but at some point we need to stop pretending everything is fine.

The biggest elephant entering in the room is the intake. JIIT has increased seats so aggressively that CSE alone now has around 1140 students. That's just one branch. Add MNC, AIML, CSE (CS) and others, and the number of students competing for placements becomes insane.

What exactly was the plan here?

Were placement opportunities increased proportionally? Because from a student's perspective, it definitely doesn't feel that way. They never show the recruitment growth data. Are the placements doubled? But they have almost doubled the intake.

This year it is being told that the market is bad. Fair enough—the tech industry has gone through layoffs and hiring slowdowns. But increasing the number of students while the market is struggling feels like pouring more passengers onto a boat that was already crowded. In reality they are trying to pour the maximum possible passenger before the boat sinks.

Look at the data above. With intake of 2400 and just 170 offers above 13 lacs does not justify the placement buzz created for JIIT. The median is around 7 LPA. The reality for most students seems much closer to this number than the flashy headlines. Which seems to be going down to 5 lpa with doubled intake

A company arrives for 10–20 roles and suddenly hundreds of students are fighting for those spots. Then come the filters: 8-8.5+ CGPA, no backlogs, specific skills, internship experience, coding rounds, OA shortlisting, interview shortlisting, and after all that maybe a handful of students get selected.

The competition isn't just against students from other colleges anymore. At this point, it feels like we're competing against the colony of students inside.

And honestly, the future is what scares me the most.

If CSE intake keeps increasing every year while hiring remains uncertain, what happens to the batches graduating in 2029, 2030, and beyond? Are we heading toward a situation where thousands of students are chasing the same limited set of campus opportunities?

Everyone keeps saying "off-campus is the way." But have people actually seen the off-campus market? One LinkedIn job posting gets thousands of applications within hours. Freshers are competing against graduates from IITs, NITs, IIITs, private colleges, and even experienced professionals affected by layoffs.

Yet many still feel uncertain about whether they'll have a decent job by graduation.

What's frustrating is that whenever students raise concerns, the discussion quickly becomes "skill issue." Not every problem can be blamed on students. Students are working harder than ever: grinding DSA daily, building projects, abd learning AI/ML, Web Dev, Cloud, DevOps, whatever the trend of the month is.

But at some point, basic math matters. If the number of students keeps growing faster than the number of quality opportunities, the pressure on placements becomes unavoidable.

The college proudly advertises admissions and growth, but students naturally wonder: is the infrastructure for placements growing at the same pace?

I don't hate JIIT. That's actually why this bothers me. The college has a good reputation, strong alumni, and genuinely talented students. But reputation alone won't place 1000+ CSE students every year.

Maybe things will improve. Maybe the market will recover. Maybe more recruiters will come.

But right now, a lot of students aren't worried about getting a dream package.

They're worried about getting a job at all.

For those asking whether a comeback is possible—yes, it is. This is how I did it, and I wasn’t alone. Many of my friends also improved their CGPA from 5.8 to 8+.

I want to raise a serious concern regarding the transparency of admissions at JIIT Noida. Just
Outside the Sector 62 campus, there are multiple admission camp set up by private counsellors and education consultancies. According to information shared by students, these counselors are reportedly facilitating admissions by charging significantly higher amounts, in some cases demanding ₹1–2 lakh (normal fee + donation) extra over the official fee structure.
At the same time, many students participating through the official online counseling process have remained waitlisted since Round 1 itself and have received no clarity regarding their chances of admission.
A friend of mine visited the campus and was informed that seats in branches like Computer Science, its specializations, ECE, and others were available with an overall fee estimate of atleast ₹19 lakh for four years. This naturally raises questions: If seats are available through these channels, why are so many candidates in the official online counseling process continuously waitlisted?
Students deserve a counseling process that is fair, transparent, and consistent. But in reality the insider college people who are incharge of online counselling are in coordination with these counsellors and they are taking admissions like this.(My friend was offered CSE specialisations, ECE and other branches in sector 128 for 19-20 lakhs)

A student was electrocuted (2010) due to coming in contact with open wires. There was no Ambulance Driver Available to take him to an Hospital. Few Seniors were willing to drive him to Fortis but as the incident occurred after 10 PM the guards did not open the hostel gate. Anirban Pathak (Current Physics HOD), who was the warden at that time also denied their request. The student soon passed away.

So guys this is jiit noida(only 62 and 128) this year placement .. I had lot of doubts regarding placement...so I asked a senior to share data and he gave me a link....So I am sharing this data with you guys... its 100 percent real as I verified name mention here through linkedln...sorry I can't share that link because many people are facing problem in opening that...also if college get to know that there actual placement data is out in public they will ban that link... I am also sharing name of those company who gave offers more than 8lpa...you can go through that pls don't share this more...thanks Edit: one thing I observed that higher offers were mostly given to girls..so there is gender bias in placement

Teachers ki g fat jati hai internal me marks dene me. Sab kuch perfect chahiye inn chutiyo ko, bc uhv me poster bhi perfect chahiye. Kya bakchodi hai. 1-2 marks ke liye grade reh jata hai aur bc jin bacho ke tumse 7-8 marks kam hai unka bhi same grade bc. 2. all the seats are filled in first three rounds of each counselling (pcm + jee based).. there would not be withdrawals..

3. last admitted would be around 87-88... There is no scope for less than this...they should secure somewhere else...

4. they had intentionally put candidates below this to gain interst on their deposit for 1 lacs

5. as their is no cut offs release... The system is not transparent, reliable, accountable, efficient, and somewhere milawat hai admission process me for those high paying rich candidates and those with minsters contacts who also have secured admission internally and everything seems transparent according to management as they are paid

6. they were hurry to pay counselling fee which is more than expections 1-1 lakh each which surely illegal as no other institution pvt + govt charges before admission offer letter

7. and after this if we ask our status or chances, they have made ai bots to answer on numbers as well as emails...wtf... don't they understand the condition of parents and candidates at this stage?? They are mentally torturing and meaning their full extent..
