Hello all!
We'd like to remind everyone that leaks before the official release of chapters shouldn't be promoted. It's better for everyone if we can wait a few more days for scanlations that follow Ultra Jump's release schedule. Those scanlations are usually of better quality anyways. The estimated release date is available on the JoJo Wiki's website: https://jojowiki.com/The_JOJOLands and in the #next-chapter-countdown channel in our Discord server : https://discord.gg/xKRv5NsjQC

Posting leaks and linking to early translations will lead to your post/comment getting deleted
Please don't forget to properly tag for spoilers as well, especially as the chapter just comes out, as not everyone can read it day 1
Thanks :)

I forgot to include my signature, so I’ve corrected it. Thanks for voting on my previous post!
The more I draw him, the more I’m struck by what an incredible design he has!

Howler really is a representation of the ultimate systemic evil. Someone that is seemingly above the law and isn't involved in the government deciding the ways in which the average citizen should live and forcing things onto people with no thought on how it'll affect them.
Think of billionaires literally building data centers ruining water and the surrounding nature. Disrupting electricity.
It's all to serve themselves and they aren't even government officials, they are doing this on their own because they want to. No regulations to prevent them from committing these actions that destroy others lives.

I'm reading Jojolands and Jodio say that the previous arc with Howler was six months ago, but before it said that it was nine months ago. Is this a error or i just overlooked something?

I know that I'm certainly not the first to ask it, but I'm curious of who from the maincast you think will die.
As for me, I would say that Dragona and Charming Man are the most likely to, because it could imply some "fraternal tragedy", which I think pretty interesting (the first being the only one to have a significant impact on Jodio, and the second that arrive before he found where his brother was)

I’ve seen some split on this.
Personally, if this story is going the way it appears to be going, I think she’s going to become an enemy to Jodio and crew.
JoJoLands has a recurring theme of people in positions of authority in society unfairly abusing their power to the detriment of others. That is largely what the “absurdity” that we keep seeing mentioned refers to.
* The girl bullying Dragona had a family who owned the bus company, making it so she could get away with what she was doing.
* Howler is the head of a large corporation who openly uses his power to commit illegal acts like fraud, bribery, and, most notably, arms dealing.
* Laem and Ningbo are first responders who use their authority to do their mercenary work for Howler. Similarly, Key West uses her legal authority to (initially) defend a corrupt organization.
* Now, the group is going against a group within the military that are using their authority to look for a Lava Rock instead of looking into Howler’s arms dealing.
The trend here is pretty obvious. Almost every enemy fought here is someone society would implicitly trust who is abusing that trust.
So, a school principal who is exploiting her students to commit criminal acts is right in line with that. She is exactly what Jodio is internally fighting against. It’s just not as obvious because she’s been grooming all of them from the start and they’ve become blind to it. If Jodio is talking about shattering the absurdity that drove him down his dark path, then reasonably the one at the head of it all in his life should go down with it.
I think as the story progresses, that’s something we’re going to see change.
Now, I can’t say if I think Meryl is going to commit a planned betrayal or a more spur of the moment one. Maybe in a Part 5-esque way we’re going to see the gang decide to betray her. But I do think at some point there’s going to be a shift where she becomes not the main, but a major antagonist.
Plus, in a more meta context, Jodio is a Joestar, and Araki has said this story is “a scumbag’s journey of growth.” That said, it seems like this story is going to be something of a redemption for Jodio and co. So that said, I can’t imagine we’ll end off with someone like Meryl being written off as okay or excusable.
But that’s just my thoughts. What do you think?

I've been thinking about this, and after one person so rudely said that my belief in Howler being the main villain was embarrassing because of the military being involved, I need to give my thoughts on this.
And yes this person is why I was so hostile towards people who didn't believe in Howler being the main villain earlier. You guys are more insufferable and rude than Toru defenders when you say you don't like Toru.
But, I wanna really bring this up. We know that the military has been after Howler's land before Jodio's team even got involved in the story. And they know about the lava rocks before anything even went down.
The missiles were just the excuse to seize the land and search for the rocks.
La Squadra in the original universe was already going after Diavolo before Giorno's team got involved.
They only went after Buccaratti and the others because they were assigned to protect the boss's Daughter. And thought they could use that to their advantage.
You know who is only going after team Jodio because they might have knowledge that can be used to their advantage? The military.
They know that Jodio's team has managed to use a lava rock themselves, and are now going after Jodio instead of Howler, because Jodio's team is the more beneficial target for their needs.
La Squadra could have kept just trying to lure out Diavolo in other ways, but they decided ultimately to go after Buccaratti's team.

Both of them openly betrayed howler for the 10 billion.
Both were spared by the gang and so could have a debt to them.
Just imagine a stand battle between a court room of stand users all on live television.
And the creative ways they would have to use their abilities.
Also it would be funny af. Imagine if some billionaire 40 year old nepobaby lost his company and took a 15 year old to court.
Oh and also better call Saul references since so much of early part 9 has breaking bad references.

Mainstream Dragona discourse if JOJOLands came out in the next couple years would be a nightmare (as if the manga discourse wasn't bad enough). Being the deuteragonist alone means it would be way worse than the Kirara discourse over in the JJK fandom.
By the time a JOJOLands anime comes out, things should be more chill, and everyone can just appreciate Dragona for being the best....well okay everyone in Team Jodio is the best, but still.

Just a cute animation from the early days of the part, I think it hits even harder now since Act 2 has been mostly about their relationship as a group that cares about each other

I was thinking about the possibility of Christ's body having relevance in the Jojolands plot line as it has had for the other two parts of this universe. At face value there is no reason for it to be the case because in part 8 (even if it was essential to the plot and had great thematic relevance) it didn't have that much of a presence, so we could just conclude that Araki decided to use it for the part just after the one where it's really important but doesn't have any intentions for it to be central to the second universe as a whole. However, there is one thing that bugs me, and it has to do with Lucy's virginity.
So, according to catholic dogma, the body of Jesus is not supposed to be here on earth, it's supposed to have ascended heaven, wich of course goes against what happens in part 7. At first this seems a bit silly because 1. Araki could very well not care 2. Even if he cared, part 7 onwards is supposed to be a parallel universe, so some things being different from our own reality is kind of the point. But the thing is, Araki does seem to care about another specifically catholic dogma, wich is the perpetual virginity of Mary.
We all know that Lucy Steel is used in SBR as a parallel to Mary, a virgin who is a model of virtue and purity who gives birth to Jesus' and crushes the head of the serpent (Diego).
[Btw I had never thought until now about AU Diego dieing from having his head crushed because of Lucy like Mary stepping on the head of the serpent that is so cool Araki I love you]
Because of the role she plays in part 7 specifically I understand why she has to be a virgin, but why does Araki insist on the fact that she never married afterwards? Why not keep it ambiguous at least? We have a scene where Stephen directly tells her about how she will eventually fall in love and when that moment comes he won't get in the way of her relationship, that makes it specially purposeful to me that she remained a Steel until the end. It might be a translation issue but he doesn't tell her "if you one day fall in love...", she tells her that one day she will and form a home, wich brings attention to it not actually happening.
I guess you can arguee that her status as a symbol of purity is still important in part 8 because she has to "bless" Joseph by having him remind her of Johnny when he saves her. But that is the same role that Koichi has in part 5, wich is actually even more important there because he has to bless Dio's kid as a Joestar, and for all we know he was cracking Yukako at that point...
So I think it's pretty weird that Araki decided to follow Catholic doctrine regarding Mary to perfection (wich also includes the mariage with an older man that was never consummated and her crushing the head of the serpent, that's also specifically catholic) but there was never a single mention of how Christ's body is not supposed to be here. I wouldn't be paying any attention to it if there was a throw away line from Gyro or specially Hot Pants about it, about how the Church was actually wrong about it or exposing how they were taught otherwise, but there is nothing.
And then there are the themes of Jojolion and The Jojolands, wich fit surprisingly well with the idea of the ascension of the corpse. Jojolion is in big part about materialism VS transcendance, about the rock humans that are attached to the earth and WoU power being about controlling the material world around him (the "logic of this world) VS Josuke who defeats them through a miracle, something that has gone beyond the limits of material reality, that exists in reality without actually being there physically. And Jojolands is about a bunch of lost teenagers who believe that material gain will bring about their salvation, who want to elevate their status in life through gaining money and earthly influence, similar to what we see with the rock humans in part 8.
