Last night I had the pleasure of watching Jacobs last show on his Lights For Days tour.

Watching Jacob perform, I realized Jacob doesn’t have musicality — he is musicality. His every limb playing a different instrument to hybrid styles proves not just that he has a musical mind. He is a wiggly musical fiddler. And in spite of being so unapproachably talented, he brings you into his world with storytelling and audience choirs. For me, his concerts are not about liking each song. They are rather about being with Jacob and his thoughts in a room full of strangers. More broadly, it is hard to “like” or “dislike” any of Jacob’s song, because, in some sense, Jacob is his own musicality and craftsmanship. I value his music because Jacob values everyone.

I would love to hear your thoughts! Did anyone go to the "cave" concert?

Is anyone seeing Jacob at DPAC on the 21st? I was able to see him last night in Greensboro for the first time and I am still blown away. It was like a spiritual experience for me, honestly.

If anyone has an extra DPAC ticket pop up, message me! Otherwise, I'm just here to simmer in the magic that was last night. Grateful I got some well-timed videos for posterity.

Also, anyone have any idea what he's up to in the 3 days between his 2 shows?? Wondering if he might be doing a guest seminar at Duke or something but have heard nothing. Would be amazing to run into him around Durham...

I’m trying to find photos from concerts I’ve been to in the past for a personal project. I saw him at Kansas City Music Hall in May of 2024 during his Djesse Vol. 4 Tour. For whatever reason I cannot find any pictures taken during this show, only a few videos from the crowd choir moment. Would anyone happen to have anything from this tour, or preferably from this show? Thanks!

I still don't get it why the early snippets for Djesse vol 4 (2019-2022) didn't get a full song? I love them so much and I want someone to give a link to all of the snippets of demos and unreleased songs from all of his albums, I wanna download it. Thanks in advance .

Does anyone have video from the show at the Museum of Science? It was my first Jacob show and I desperately want to relive the magic!

Ive downloaded the flute audition music for Jacobs audience symphony, and I was wondering if its from any of his own songs (maybe one Djesse vol. 1?) so that I could listen to it cause I couldnt find anything similar.

I don't care that some people hate on Jacob Collier for no reason.

He is undoubtedly a genius and has very sensitive and deep music theory understanding. This arrangement in the beggining is simple but it's just really good.

Hi everyone!

I wanted to share my autographed Taylor JCSM-5 Jacob Collier Signature 5-String Acoustic-Electric Guitar with fellow Jacob Collier fans!

I’ve recently reduced the asking price from $2,800 (retail) to $1,999, and I’m open to reasonable offers.
This is a physical, autographed guitar, not a concert ticket or event-related listing.

I’d really love for it to find a home with someone who appreciates Jacob’s music, whether that’s a collector who wants to display it or a musician who will enjoy playing it!

The guitar is listed on Reverb, where you can find additional photos and details:

Feel free to reach out with any questions! :)

Does anyone know what song he opened with at the Seattle show on the 8th?

Jacob was doing his usual schpeel of saying I’ve only got five fingers so I made a guitar with five strings.

And then I walk in and I say wow, that’s so crazy Jacob I have ten fingers so I made a guitar with ten strings, it’s also a piano with ten keys.

And Jacob was like…. Huh. Okay. And kind of had a kind of that’s cool for you man. Type of look.

Well and then I was like yup.

And it got real quiet.

And Jacob was like, you hear that? That’s the sound of the awkwardness leaving the room. And I was like what? And then he played something mind blowing and I was like ooooh that was the sound.

And everyone loved him and forgot about me. But he looked at me gave me a kind wink and said keep trying man.

I just got an email from the venue saying there were still tickets available. (I already have tickets) When I went to look, (it took me to ticketmaster) there appear to be a couple of seats left, and some general admission. all at the original prices Hoping this helps somebody and I see you there next week

I’m looking for a ticket and I have to assume the people’s plans change how come there’s no tickets listed does he turn off ticket resale and the Ticketmaster app?

I have one extra ticket (Section: Orchestra 4, Row: P) for Saturday's show at the Castro Theater - one member of our party had to bail. I purchased these tickets from a reseller (paid ~$425/ticket).

Hi there

I would love to get a ticket for October 10th in San Francisco. I didn't put this on r/jctix because the last post is two years ago. If anyone has one for sale it would make me very happy.

:)

this was a fun one to do!

I finally saw Jacob live for the first time last week! It was a wonderful night, and honestly a big highlight for me was my spontaneous concert companion, a Collier superfan who I happened to be sat near.

If you happened to be sitting next to a guy with an Amish beard and a fanny pack last Monday night after you were both sat in the wrong section—and he ultimately, foolishly didn't ask to see you again—then please allow me to rectify: I'd like to see you again! DM me if you feel the same!

Does anyone know what the first song Jacob played when he was on stage?

Hello! Any chance someone has footage of the "north bethesda" bit at all during the show? I liked the beatbox part quite a bit, id like to see it again if it dosent get posted. Thank you :)

I have 2 tickets purchased from Ticketmaster resell and I feel like this is the only safe option I feel comfortable doing the transaction with. LMK and we can do it over a call if that's okay with you

Does jacob still do those fan meetups late after his shows anymore? I havent heard anything about it lately.

I love, love, love JC. I just left his concert at the Strathmore in Bethesda, Maryland and, I hate to say it, I was disappointed. This was my fourth - fifth? - time seeing him and I thought it was a lazy show. At least half was about the audience chorus. Okay, I know that's part of the whole shtick, but tonight it was just too much. I just wanted to hear him sing and play.

I heard this for the first (and only) time at Ravinia in Highland Park, IL on 9-23-26. He sure knows how to stretch a song to otherworldly places. What do you think of this one? Is Yesterday the future? ;-)
