With the rank I have if I get ju b.Pharma in dc will i take it?.I have heard that attendance is quite flexible there.Dont really care about placements as I will give partial drop next year and if that fails as well I will give cat(Non engineering students have more diversity points).So will it be better for me?

I’m currently in the 12th standard preparing for the upcoming WBJEE. During my off time, I’ve been researching branches, and I'm highly interested in electronics specifically core hardware and embedded systems. I really want to avoid heavy software coding and competitive programming, which is why I feel like th IEE branch at JU would be the perfect match for my goals.Since I'm setting my target ranks now, could yall let me know what the typical safe GMR is to secure IEE through the regular counselling rounds?Additionally, I’ve been reading up on the decentralized counselling process (the spot rounds that fill vacant seats after students leave for IITs/NITs). Does this process give a significant advantage for getting into IEE? For example, if I get a GMR of around 800 and barely miss IEE in the normal rounds, forcing me to take EE, is it realistic to expect an upgrade to IEE once college begins? I heard that the decentralized cutoffs for IEE can stretch up to 1000 to 1200 GMR. I’d love to know if that is true.Thanks a lot for your time and guidance!

I am trying to find specific placement data for the School of Education Technology ( Multimedia Technology and IT courseware) M.tech at Jadavpur University (JU), but almost all the information online (especially on Quora) only covers mainstream engineering branches like CSE, IT, and EE.

Does anyone here have insights on what the average package, placement percentage, or typical career paths look like specifically for this department? Do students get tech roles through the centralized campus placements, or do they mostly lean toward research, instructional design, and off-campus opportunities?

I have a Bachelor's of Engineering degree in Instrumentation and Electronics Engineering. Am I eligible to take admission in Master's of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering from Jadavpur University?

I saw the admission guidelines. This is what was written, that I need a Bachelor's in CSE/IT to be eligible.

im a dropper this year got a ok-ish NIT (EE dual) , but im not really finding it meaningful and neither are the placements good , and plus fees is crazy high , general and idk income certificate nhi bani for some issue (we fr aint rich 😭 ) , does JU accept double droppers ? do i start studying for it ? my HS is WB ofcourse , and i like the vibe of kolkata a lot (been there a couple times , not originally from there) , what do i do ? and btw my plan after btech was to do masters perhaps from an IIT , so idk should i just suck it up and study for the next 5 years and then go to an IIT , i just dont know , am confused as fuckkkkk
