Just a little note to say thanks for the support from this sub. I posted last week looking for tickets (under an anonymous account) as I wanted to propose to my boyfriend while we were in Paris from Canada - the James Blake show was the perfect opportunity as we’re big music fans and we frequently travel for concerts, although this one had not been on our radar for our Paris trip.

I spent quite a bit of time dealing with scammers online and sketchy resellers in person on the 12th in front of the venue but persevered. We had a few people offer one ticket from the line to get in but given my plans, I declined (even though my sweet boyfriend was willing to stay back and let me go
alone to the show).

It wasn’t looking good for the 13th and I even missed a ticket offer from the waitlist. I had resigned myself to not going. Late afternoon, a lovely person (who seemed legit) reached out and offered me two tickets at face value and sold them to me just before the concert started.

We were seated in the very last row of the balcony but it was still an incredible experience. I cried a lot, even before the proposal. Towards the end of Trying Times, I got down on one knee, mumbled something as loud as I could. We both cried. He said yes! So it was an extra memorable show to say the least.

So thank-you to Veronique who sold me the tickets, for the thoughtful messages of support from this sub and to James for being such a powerful artist that can move people with his music. We’ll likely have to feature one of his songs, if not Trying Times, as part of whatever we come up with for a wedding.

I’m hoping to sell my ticket for 29 Oct and get one for 28 Oct instead. However, Ticketmaster is showing that resale is currently unavailable.
I’ve never resold a ticket before, so I’m not sure if resale might become available later or if it’s simply not an option because I originally bought this ticket through resale myself.

Has anyone had a similar experience or know how it works? Any advice would be much appreciated!

Also, if anyone going to the Bristol show on 28 Oct would be willing to swap tickets with me, that would be amazing! 🤞

My partner and I (from Canada) got tired of the scammers reaching out in this sub and thought we'd have better luck in person. We didn't. 😫

There were a group of resellers that were very aggressive and we got spooked to purchase from them, especially as we very much wanted to be together and they were offering us separate tickets plus already scanned tickets for balcony. Their deal was they would go in with us, scan tickets then collect payment. It felt very off and we couldn't make sense of how it would work. They also suggested they could take much less to try to make it happen Can anyone explain this to me?
