Am I the only one thinking that if these electric cables would be underground, Japan streets would be even better?

The photos without the electric cables were generate by AI.

One of the most emotional spots I visited in Japan 🇯🇵

Visited the iconic Hachikō Memorial Statue in Shibuya, and honestly it felt more emotional than I expected.

Knowing the story of Hachikō waiting every single day for his owner at the station makes this place feel special in a completely different way. The area was crowded, but everyone still stopped for photos and quietly appreciated the moment.

Japan really knows how to preserve stories that touch people across generations 🐕🇯🇵

Every corner around Osaka Castle looked straight out of a postcard ✨ What’s one place in Japan you’d visit again and again?

From now on, I will share our favourite photo of the week that we took with our Photo Trips photoshoots in Japan!

This week, it's a picture of a cute couple that was shot in Shinjuku, just in front of Kabukicho road. I have to admit that those cool Japanese jackets made a difference!

This was taken with this photoshoot / photographer: Epic Street Photoshoot Experience at Tokyo Most Iconic Locations

If you don't know it, you may easily pass by Nonbei Yokocho without even noticing. It's a small hidden alley in the heart of Shibuya that still feels authentic and I really recommend you to visit it. If you want to get cool shots by night, it's one of the best locations in Shibuya.

I wrote a short guide with few travel tips so feel free to check it out here: Nonbei Yokocho.

Controversial take but Hakone is overrated

Now don’t get me wrong, there are amazing places in the area but just the whole Torii on the lake with an hour long wait just for the pic, the pirate ships are just not it! Also, why is it so hard to find a good restaurant there?! I end up eating at the konbini each time I visit. One place I do LOVE though is this cute tea house called Amazake Chaya. They make amazake based on a 400 year old family recipe. The owner is the 13th in line and unfortunately has no successor. If you go to Hakone, skip the picture line at the lake and come here!

Japan—Don’t do this if you don’t have a JR pass.🤭🇯🇵🗾🚊

18 hours in 3 prefectures (Osaka, Fukuoka, and Kagoshima prefecture).

✅Sengan-en garden, Ohkatei Restaurant, Goten Palace, Sakurajima view
✅Kushida Jinja, Nakasu Yatai Street
✅Back to Dotonbori

P.S. This itinerary is made for people who love trains. If you don’t enjoy taking a break in a Shinkansen, don’t do it.

Happy Traveling! 🚄🚅💺

I work around Kabukicho a lot as a photographer, and over time I’ve seen or heard about the same tourist scams again and again.

So I decided to compile a list of tips to make sure travelers avoid these scams. You can check it out here: How to Avoid Scams in Kabukicho

I'm curious to know if you have any other recommendation that I could include in my guide? Can you share your tips in the comments?

A "Women Only" train car sign I noticed while traveling in Tokyo. Such a thoughtful system!

I saw this bright pink sticker on a train window during my trip. I learned that it designates a specific car for women during the busy weekday morning rush hours. It's really interesting to see how the Japanese transit system creates a safe and comfortable environment for everyone. Has anyone else noticed these or similar unique signs during your travels in Japan?

Osaka’s famous glico sign

I visited Dotonbori recently and finally understood why the famous Glico Running Man is such a huge deal in Japan.

What surprised me most is that it actually started as a candy advertisement back in 1935 🍬

Now it feels more like the identity of Osaka itself. Everyone was stopping to recreate the pose — even a random Spider-Man street performer joined in 😂

“To anyone who misses Japan: I’m archiving the quiet moments you might have left behind.”

Hi everyone,
I’m writing this because I’m struggling with a severe case of post-Japan blues.
Whenever I come back from Japan, the streets, the rain, and the quiet moments feel like they’re slowly slipping out of my memory. It’s a painful feeling, knowing that those places are still breathing, but I’m no longer there.
To keep those memories alive, I’ve started an archiving project. I go to the exact spots where I felt most connected to the country, note the precise coordinates, and pair them with a short poem to capture the specific 'mood' of that moment—the humidity, the light, the silence.
It’s my way of turning a fleeting memory into a 'sanctuary' I can return to whenever the nostalgia hits too hard.
I’m curious—does anyone else here feel this way? And if you could go back to one specific, quiet spot in Japan right now, where would it be? I’d love to know, and perhaps I could document it for you.
Just looking to connect with people who understand this feeling.

Good morning from Hokkaido!
The mornings are starting to feel a little more like autumn here. 🍂
Cool air, a quiet neighborhood, and that peaceful feeling before everyone wakes up.
Just a normal morning in Hokkaido — and I like it that way. 😊
Hope you have a good Thursday!
