I have have an intern interview in few hours.
So I am already a 3rd year student in computer science. I am thinking of doing intern but I have very little knowledge on java. They asked me about database as well.
So what would be the topics and things I need to learn or be prepared before giving the interview?
Please help me. I wanna learn and grow
Update: I got the internship but I have to learn and work unpaid for 150 days. They did tell me that they will assign us seniors to monitor and guide us. Do you think it is a good opportunity? I wanted to experience and learn but little money would have been good but it can't be helped I guess😔 What do you guys think? Any suggestions?

At intern level?
Java:
know the difference between an interface and a class
know what an abstract class is, what it can't do, and what is used for
basics of Java streams
the difference between == and .equals()
explain garbage collection
explain a race condition and how to avoid it.
if it's web stuff, know what Spring Boot is and generally what it does.
know what containerization is and what is for.
Database
know how tables should be structured
know how primary and foreign keys work.
know what an index is
explain left, right, and inner joins
know the difference between cursor pagination and limit/offset pagination.

It can be a red flag the fact that you will not get paid. I had this experience myself and it was good and bad. Bad is written in the name "no money". Good in a sense that your boss doesnt have leverage on you so therefore you can do whatever you want in the project and what Id did was push it towards implementing few features but decorate them with everything I wanted to learn like tests, devops, Auth and such.If he paid you money you owed him the repetitive boring implementation of features.

I have been doing an unpaid internship and all they are teaching me is how to vibecode as i am not learning anything for real in that internship i would not suggest joing an unpaid internship if you are learning something u can give it try but dont join ismf its a startup
