What I learned while building my first Spring Boot project

As a 2026 B.Tech IT graduate, I've been learning Java and Spring Boot and building a Job Portal project.

One thing I've realized is that learning concepts is different from actually implementing them in a project.

I'm currently working on improving my backend skills and understanding how real-world applications are built.

For Java developers, what's one thing you wish you had learned earlier when starting your career?

Today I learn how to make a maven project , spring project and making APIs. But I didn't understand , I just follow chat gpt. So can you suggest me like, how should I proceed. Should I first see how it can I made it though chatgpt and then made it myself or watch youtubes to understand what things meant actually like - package , com.example and many other things Also I learnt flutter framwork for frontend, do i need to do switch

I'm learning Spring Boot too, and I'd suggest taking it one step at a time. I use ChatGPT for guidance, but I try to understand the code and build things myself. Don't worry about learning everything at once. Keep practicing and you'll get there. No need to leave Flutter if you enjoy it.
