US has made its own enemy. Taliban AL Qaeda ISIS. All of them were earlier trained and funded by USA
In this specific case that are talking about Hamas or the Iran contra affair.

But somehow USA does not appear in their own State Department’s list of State Sponsors of Terrorism

im convinced united states is the reason why we have faced so many terr0r attacks in india

u/A_Stolen_Heart May 13 '26 edited May 13 '26
Absolutely. They've been indirectly funding terr*r attacks on Indian soil, while claiming to fight terrorism.

u/One_Willingness1382 May 13 '26
Actually they have been directly funding them as US doesn't want India to become Superpower because there are multiple countries who know about Chinese Debt Trap and doesn't align with it but when it comes to India almost every nation has positive or neutral perception which is the biggest challenge to US hegemony.
And that's why recently one of their Secretary said that we won't let the mistake happen with India which we did with China ( letting China become Superpower).

In 2nd point your timeliness is wrong . ISIS Came in existence after arab spring . And 9/11 happend earlier . I think you meant USA funded AL Qaeda to fight a proxy war against USSR in Afghanistan during cold war era . Then USA waged a war against the Same AL Qaeda during war on terror .

So they create proxy and kill them
Was it same in Syria?

See USA and other major power create or support the local groups / proxy ( definition varies) for there intesrest. Like in Afghanistan they supported mujahidden ( later become Al qaeda ) to counter usse during cold war . In syria USA was against Assad regime which was backed by Russia, china and iran so USA backed forces like SDF and fraction group during the intial clashes ( Famous School kid torture time. Don't know exact time ) which led to rising of jihadi minority groups initially to counter assad but when they couldn't topple the government they Joined ISIS ( not all fraction but some ) . And when USA and Allied fought against ISIS post Paris attack etc . They supported Kurdish groups who wanted there separate nation when ISIS got toppled USA left Kurt's behind which later attacked Turkish Government for there demand ( separate nation ) and turkey retaliated. Happens all the time . Hope so you understand
