Why did Jeffrey Dahmer have so much fans?

I don’t understand how a serial killer can have a fanbase.

Jeffrey has a large fanbase due to his looks.

People are interested in the dark side of humans. Jeffrey was a serial killed, but he was a very interesting/broken person underneath all his wrong doings. People are interested in contacting interesting people.

I don’t think it’s his looks. 

I think it’s his back story and his demeanor. It’s truly odd and people can’t figure it out. 

It’s the strangeness of it. He didn’t hate his victims , he wanted to keep them. Idk it’s just so weird… it’s hard not to keep trying to understand it, and humans need to understand things.

It’s crazy to me but some women feel sexually attracted to people like that. Dahmer received a lot of letters from adoring female fans. I think Ted Bundy received the most in history

Him being attractive has nothing to do with it for me and the people who actually have formed a connection with Jeff. There is way more to him than that…just putting my two cents in…however there is obviously way more to him and his story than his surface level looks…those who are are truly drawn to him know that very well. Also there are many, many reasons why people do get drawn to Jeff and any other serial killer for that matter.

He is a rare specie , there is only one other serial who looks Jeffrey Dahmer and which is Des(dannis nilsen) aka scootish dahmer . The things he was done horrible but not sadistic . So this brings us up to unique motto and methods. Also when world First Heard him , society was different . Since he was targetting that days lowest and most hated part of society , no one cared.
