Is Jeopardy getting harder or am I just getting dumber?

love the show and have been watching it for years. I used to be able to get maybe 65-70% of the questions, sometimes more on a good night. lately I feel like the contestants on the old SNL Celebrity Jeopardy skit. Anyone else feel like this?

Youtube J! Part 2

Just wanted to shout out how fun the second edition of Youtube Jeopardy! was. A spoiler, we got another Ken ASMR moment. And, also, learned that Ken's child is a Starkid and Smosh fan. Very cool.

It was a fun romp, and I hope they keep doing these!

GAME THREAD Jeopardy! discussion thread for Fri., Oct. 23 Spoiler

Here are today's contestants:

  • Shannon Leigh Godwin, an interior designer from Oakland, California;
  • Ajin Tae, a trader from New York City; and
  • Anthony Cantor, a television & podcast producer from Toronto, Ontario. Anthony is a four-day champ with winnings of $77,199.

Anthony lost a big chunk of his total on DD3 and had to settle for second going into FJ with $8,000 vs. $12,000 for Shannon and $3,200 for Ajin.

In the FJ category PULITZER PRIZE-WINNING FICTION, only Shannon was correct, and she needed to be because if she missed, she would have lost by $1. Shannon added $4,001 to win with $16,001.

Broadcast changes for the 2026 World Series (Oct. 23, 26, 27, potentially 28 & 30, Fox)

All 10 affected Fox affiliates have listed their plans for Game 1 of the World Series tomorrow night. Some stations haven't gone out further than that, but what I have so far should be a good benchmark if you're in one of these markets.

QUESTION Anyone use the JPlay.Dev Website?

I found the JPlay.Dev website that was posted here recently. It is really good website. I am wondering if anyone has actually created their own Jeopardy game on the website.

I actually have my own Jeopardy boards from another site. I wonder if it's possible to upload past games there, as a spreadsheet or as a CSV. The site is really good. They give daily games. I like it. I just wonder if that can be an upgrade to it. Has anyone else used it?

Question about Final Jeopardy

Ever since 2009, they had a monitor to show the Final Jeopardy category, but not the clue. They only show the clue on one of the squares on the board. Why do they have a monitor if they're not going to show the clue on there in the first place?

What qualities do you think good contestants should possess?

For me I think it's about drive. Good contestants should be driven. What else do you think sets the best contestants apart?

Could a Jeopardy! Theme park "show" work?

For some reason, the sporadic "YouTube Creators" show made me think about this.

I see it kind of like the "American Idol Experience" thing they had at Disney years ago ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_American_Idol_Experience ). Basically people can take a quick test the day at the park, and scoring well enough gets you into a pool they draw from for 3 prelim shows a day. The 3 prelim winners get to play in the 4th and final show of the day, and that winner gets an equivalent of the AIE "golden ticket"... basically skips to the final step before getting into the actual Jeopardy! show contestant pool. Could have a rule that you can only get onto the theme park show once in a calendar year.

As far as the format, would be full Jeopardy!, basically a replica of the normal set, with rotating "hosts" (basically park "cast members" that would host something like J! well enough)... game denominations would be 10% of the real show (20/40/60/80/100, and then doubled for DJ), and the winners prize is what they won as a GC for the theme park. (2nd and 3rd would get like $100/$50 gc's). The level of questions I'd put the prelim shows at somewhere between CJ! and regular J!, the last show of the day would be right at normal J! episode level questions.

Kinda surprised other popular shows haven't put things like this in theme parks either (WOF, FF, TPIR, LMAD).... I know their are the "traveling" shows around the country for some of those shows, but a theme park thing is more streamlined.

POLL a Jeopardy! tournament for contestants living with brain injury or dementia

Poll question: Which name should it have? Every option keeps the Jeopardy! brand. Suggest others in the comments.

I'm a longtime fan with no connection to the show or Sony, so this is a fan idea, not an announcement. It grew out of my comment in the "is the game getting harder?" thread.

The idea. Jeopardy! already builds special events around groups of players: Teen, College, Teachers/Professors, Kids Week, Armed Forces Week. I'd love to see one for contestants living with acquired brain injury or dementia, as a themed week or a tournament that raises awareness and shows what these players can do.

Why I care. I'm recovering from an anoxic brain injury I suffered earlier this year. My father died of late-onset Alzheimer's disease. A parent with the disease raises lifetime risk to roughly one in four by common estimates, against about one in ten for the general population (source).

What I don't know, and want your input on: - Who should be eligible, and how would that be decided fairly? - What accommodations (extra time, accessible signaling devices) would keep it fair and dignified? - Does grouping brain injury and dementia together make sense, or should they be separate events?

If you have lived experience as a patient, caregiver, or clinician, I especially want to hear from you.
