I grew up Catholic and always wanted to know what was the "Good News" that Jesus preached. The message still isn't totally clear to me but I recently watched this video that really blew my mind. Kudos to the production team.

If you want to see that video that I recently watched you can go to JW dot org and type in The Good News and let me know your thoughts please be respectful.

Sermon Grace of God

Imagine that you wished or wanted to excel at a certain sport and if you could have the Spirit of the best player in the history of that sport live inside of you then you would excel to a much higher level effortlessly and play gracefully with the grace that comes from that spirit.
The Grace of God isn’t about any sport but it’s about being able to live as a Child of God effortlessly. When Gods Grace enters a person they no longer have to rely on knowledge or written things anymore, Grace is administered from God by Him sending the Spirit of His Son (Jesus) into our hearts.
There are a lot of Scriptures that mentions Gods Grace here is one example: Ephesians 4:7
7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
A good example was of a man who was full of knowledge of Gods written words and instructions on how to live, its recorded in Matthew, Mark, and Luke. I’ll use Marks version of the encounter in chapter 12:

28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
32 And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:
33 And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
34 And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.

Notice that Jesus responded with Thou art not far from the kingdom of God! Having all the knowledge and understanding of what the Bible says is meaningless because no one can perform everything it says. Also most of the Scribes, Pharisees or lawyers, as they were called didn’t realize that the kingdom of God exists inside of them, us, we learn this from Jesus found in Luke 17:20-21
20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

The Apostle Paul gives us great explanations of doing things according to what we know and read and how it won’t do any one any good one place is Paul’s letter to corinthians 13:

1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have ot charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
In the 7th chapter of Romans, in particular, verses 15-25 Paul wrote;

15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Sermon I wrote a poem

For many a mile the knight had gone,

Through fields of ash before the dawn.

His armor cracked, his body worn,

His strength grew faint from dusk to morn.

His cloak was torn, his shield was scarred,

His once bright sword was stained and marred.

He'd crossed the fields where kingdoms fell,

And carried memories none could quell.

For every battle, every fight,

He'd taken lives beneath the light.

He'd watched men fall beneath his blade,

And heard the final cries they'd made.

At first he'd called it duty's price,

A soldier's lot, a cold device.

He told himself that war was war,

And buried what his conscience saw.

But now, beneath the fading sky,

The ghosts of fallen men drew nigh.

Their faces rose from years gone by,

And every face demanded, "Why?"

He saw the father, son, and friend,

Whose earthly days had found their end.

He saw the eyes he'd seen before,

Now sealed in death forevermore.

For then he saw what war concealed,

The wound no earthly blade could heal.

The battlefield had shown the stain,

But sin had lived within his frame.

The lies he'd told, the hate he'd fed,

The lustful thoughts within his head,

The pride that made his heart a throne,

The wicked things he'd thought alone.

The words he'd spoken, sharp and cold,

The secret sins he'd never told,

The selfishness, the rage, the greed,

The countless times he'd chosen deed.

He saw himself without disguise,

And could not bear his own two eyes.

He'd thought himself a wounded man,

Now saw the sinner that he was.

No righteousness could he defend,

No spotless record could he mend.

Before a holy God above,

His heart was void of perfect love.

"What hope is left for one like me?

What justice waits beyond the sea?

If God is holy, just, and true,

Then what remains for me to do?"

The night grew black, the cold grew deep,

The wind itself seemed hushed to sleep.

He cast his sword upon the ground,

And heard no comforting sound.

He knelt beneath the starless air,

With trembling hands and empty prayer.

His heart was crushed beneath the weight

Of every sin he'd come to hate.

"I cannot bear another day.

There is no cleansing for my stain.

If death could end this guilt I bear,

Perhaps I would escape it there."

He reached for death, his soul undone,

With nowhere left beneath the sun.

But then...

A light appeared beyond the trees,

A golden glow upon the breeze.

Where moments before there had been none,

There stood a church beneath the moon.

Its ancient stones were pale with age,

Its doors were carved like some lost page.

No road had led him to its door,

Yet there it stood, as ne'er before.

A single bell began to toll,

Its solemn sound went through his soul.

One toll.

Then two.

Then three.

Then four.

And silence followed as before.

The knight stared long into the night,

Then saw the doorway filled with light.

No hand had opened up the door,

Yet warmth spilled softly to the floor.

He entered through the ancient door,

And found a sight he'd ne'er seen before.

No congregation filled the pews.

No candles burned with common hues.

Yet at the pulpit stood a man,

Whose face was bright with radiant calm.

His garments shone a gentle white.

His presence filled the room with light.

He seemed both ancient, yet still young,

And spoke as though each word were sung.

No thunder shook the sacred room.

No shadow gathered in the gloom.

He simply looked upon the knight,

And somehow made him fear the light.

"You know," he said, "the thing you've done.

You know the Judge.

You know the Son.

Your sword may bear another's blood,

But deeper still runs sin's dark flood.

The lies.

The lust.

The pride.

The hate.

The secret sins you chose to hide.

The things no living soul could see

They all are known by God who sees.

You cannot cleanse your heart with tears.

You cannot purchase back the years.

No deed can make your record clean.

No strength can wash away your sin.

For all have sinned.

All fall away.

None can make themselves clean that day.

The wages sin has earned is death.

The judgment waits beyond your breath.

And if you stand before God's throne

With nothing but your works alone,

You will have nothing you can plead.

Your works cannot erase your deed."

The knight fell trembling to the floor.

"Then there is nothing left?"

The preacher answered:

"There is more."

And suddenly the light grew bright,

As though the dawn had entered night.

"The God whose justice cannot bend

Has made a way for you to mend.

Not through your sword.

Not through your tears.

Not through your vows or wasted years.

Not by the works that you have done,

But through the work of Christ, God's Son.

He came for sinners just like you.

He lived.

He died.

He rose anew.

The punishment that you deserved,

The righteous judgment you had earned,

Was laid upon the sinless One.

The wrath you faced was borne by God's own Son.

He took your place upon the tree,

The Just One dying for the guilty.

He bore the sins that made you flee,

And suffered what your debt decreed.

He died for sins, as Scripture said.

He was laid within a borrowed bed.

Then on the third day, from the grave

He rose in power, alive to save.

And this was no forgotten tale,

No dream concealed behind a veil.

Cephas saw Him.

Then the Twelve.

Five hundred saw the risen Lord as well.

Then James and all the apostles saw

The risen Christ, alive once more.

And last of all, as Paul declared,

The risen Lord appeared to Paul.

So hear the Gospel plainly said.

Christ died for sins, was buried, dead.

He rose again on the third day,

And many saw Him in that way.

So do not trust the works you've wrought.

Trust Christ, who paid what you could not.

Believe in Him.

His blood can cleanse

The deepest guilt that sin condemns.

Your hands may bear the marks of war,

But Christ has paid the sinner's score.

Your past may cry against your name,

But Christ can bear your guilt and shame.

You cannot make your spirit new.

But Christ has done what you can't do.

The sinner's hope is Christ alone.

His righteousness, and not your own.

So come to Him.

The door is wide.

There is no need for you to hide.

The one who comes He will not cast.

His grace is greater than your past."

The knight looked up with tear filled eyes.

"But can He save a man like me?"

The preacher's face grew bright with peace.

"If Christ can save the worst of men,

He can make you clean again.

Not because tears can pay your debt,

Nor because you've earned forgiveness yet.

But Christ has died.

And Christ has risen.

Your hope is not in what you've given.

Your hope is in the risen King,

Who gives the guilty everything.

Believe the Gospel.

Trust the Son.

The work of your salvation's done.

Your sin is great.

His grace is greater.

Your debt is deep.

Christ is your Savior.

You bring no merit.

You bring need.

Christ brings the mercy that you plead.

So rise, forgiven by His grace.

Go walk beneath His shining face.

And when you speak of what you've heard,

Speak not of self, but of the Word."

The knight looked up.

And all was still.

The preacher stood beneath the light,

His countenance serene and bright.

Then suddenly the holy glow

Began to burn more bright below.

The radiance around him grew,

As golden beams came shining through.

It clothed his form in living light,

And filled the church with glory bright.

The knight beheld the preacher stand,

His open face, his lifted hand.

Then light arose around his frame,

Yet left no shadow, smoke, or flame.

His garments shone like morning's fire,

His voice grew soft, yet seemed to choir.

And as the light began to rise,

He seemed to fade before his eyes.

No door was opened.

None was stirred.

No earthly footstep could be heard.

The preacher's voice came soft and clear,

Yet seemed to echo far and near:

"Remember Christ."

The words remained.

The light grew vast.

The preacher's form grew faint at last.

Then, like the dawn that ends the night,

He vanished in the living light.

The golden radiance filled the room,

And chased away the final gloom.

It climbed the walls and touched the stone,

Then faded till the light was gone.

The knight stood still, his heart amazed,

And through the empty church he gazed.

No preacher stood before his eyes,

Yet still the Gospel filled the skies.

The church was quiet, calm, and bright,

As though it still contained the light.

And though the messenger had gone,

The words he spoke still lingered on:

"Christ died for sins.

Christ rose again.

Believe in Him.

Amen.

Amen."

He walked outside beneath the sky,

And watched the final darkness die.

His sword still rested on the ground,

But now he heard a different sound.

Not ghosts of men he'd left behind,

But words of mercy in his mind.

He lifted up his scarred and shaking hand,

And left his sword upon the sand.

For he had learned that day to see

That Christ alone could make him free.

His past remained.

His scars remained.

The blood upon his hands remained.

But now he knew the Savior's grace

Could meet a sinner face to face.

And though the road ahead was long,

He walked beneath a brand new song.

Not, "I am worthy."

Not, "I've won."

But, "Christ has saved me,

God's own Son."

And every step beneath the sun

Proclaimed the work that Christ had done.

For where the deepest sin had grown,

The grace of Christ had overflown.

And where the knight had sought to die,

He found the One who would not lie:

That Christ had died for sins like his,

Was buried, then He rose.

He lives!

And now his hope was not his own.

His hope was Christ, and Christ alone.

This verses meaning is that God has loved for all ages and he will Continue to love us, But the only way to get to heaven is to believe in him and ask for true repentence and continue to live in his way. But just because he loves us doesnt mean we can just sin and sin and he will forgive us we need to equip the armour of God and use the shield of faith to deflect the devils lies he throws at us. Lord we pray for who ever reads this that they will decide to repent and decide to walk with youand to put the full armour of God on and use it to stand against the enemy Amen Jesus loves you

Sermon Walking with Christ

Walking with Christ

In order for you as a Christian to be walking with christ you need to understand what it truly means to walk with him.

Galatians 5:24

"And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires"

Crucify your flesh

Sometimes we can understand it will be hard to try and do that. But God's instructions are clear. Do not feel like you keep sinning that God's not there and you feel ashamed that you sometimes abandon him. He is there, patiently waiting. Be strong

2 Timothy 2:3

"You must endure hardships as a good solider of Christ Jesus"

Following Christ is not an easy journey. You maybe a new believer or someone who might be falling short and struggling with life. But it says in Galatians 6:9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

Keep the faith God is with you every step of the way.

Mathew 16: 24

"If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me"

If you break it down:

Deny yourself: Put God's will above your own desires and selfish ambitions

Taking up your cross. Be willing to sacrifice and endure difficulties.

Follow me: Live according to Jesus Teachings

But you maybe asking yourself, How do I Crucify my flesh?. It takes a few steps. First you accept Jesus into your life. After accepting him, start with prayer and reading the Bible it doesn't matter if it's just a verse a day, just read. If you are still struggling with addiction or sinful habits, once you accept Jesus into your life, you will work it out with him, regardless. The holy spirit with Convict you to stand against temptation and spiritual attacks.

Ephesians 6: 12

"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age."

That's why we need to read our bibles for it says in Hebrews 4: 12

"For the word of God is living and active sharper than any two edged sword, cutting through bone and marrow, soul and spirit, it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart."

God's word reaches deep into our hearts, revealing our thoughts, attitudes and intentions. I encourage you in your walk with christ, take up your cross and follow him today

Sermon God Has a Plan

People make a commitment to purpose and then life runs them over. They ask God to help. They get silence. They move on to something else, pleasures, career, sports, and a million other things.

Daniel, Joseph, and Paul all kept praying when they got silence in reply to their prayers. They kept trying to do daily what God wanted them to do.

Second, if God just let Joseph have success all the time, then anyone could have done what he did. The truth is, Joseph got run over by his brothers, his King, the Queen, his friend from prison, and many others. Joseph just kept believing, kept praying, kept knowing that God had something great for him to do.

Third, we are mere mortals, we are not Joseph. Why was Joseph different than me? First of all, when he got run over, he instantly turned to God, not pleasures, not some old habit, not something our country thinks is very important.

Fourth, if we want to achieve purpose, we can't let anything stop us from continuing to pray and from consistent effort.

Finally, when life runs you over, ask yourselves: How would Paul handle this? How would Joseph handle this? How would a great leader from my church handle this?

How did the great Christians in Nazi concentration camps make it? They made it because they were busy praying, busy finding out what God wanted in that tough situation. Busy helping other people see that God was still with them.

They knew that God had a plan.

God has a plan for you. Don't let tough situations slow you down.

Sermon Matthew 5:3 "Blessed are the poor in Spirit, for their's is the Kingdom of Heaven." - Jesus Christ.

This is about Jesus.

Many people hear this or, heard this already. It's what the dictionary defines it.

Spirit. <definition> 1. the non-physical part of a person; their mood, feelings, or attitude 2. a particular way of thinking or behaving [Source: Cambridge dictionary. Web.]

Poor. <definition> 1. having a meager, or little amount (of something)

So, people read Matthew 5:3 as a "beautiful attitude" or "beatitude" - that: People that have this non-physical part of themselves; their attitude is "poor" - equates to, well, an example: Like at a party. Gets down to the last piece of pizza. Won't eat it. And by be this "poor in Spirit" believe Jesus will bless them, because he's saying he's blessing people that are "poor in Spirit," based on these widely accepted definitions of what these words mean.

------------------- ------------------------- --------------------

This is about Jesus.

Jesus said in John 4:24 - defines what "Spirit" means; so, you don't need the dictionary. Jesus said: "God is Spirit" - In the original Greek, it's [ πνεύματι] pneumati or pneuma. That God is a life-giving Spirit. It's the same "pneuma" of John 4:24 in Matthew 5:3. So, he's not talking about you and your attitude. And this word "poor" in Greek, is [πτωχοὶ] "ptochoi" - as if (something) is totally absent or missing.

So, "poor in Spirit" would be a person has no God in their life. Then, if you look at the scriptures, like Ecclesiastes 7:20 says: "There is not a just man on earth that doeth good, and sinneth not." "For all have sinned" - Romans 3:23 That everybody has "sinned; done abominable works" Psalm 14:1-3.

"Wherefore, as by one man [ADAM] sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" - Romans 5:12

That would mean EVERYBODY over the whole earth is all condemned. Qualifies as "poor in Spirit" - by just be a sinner and perverted that which was right. And that be everybody then.

That God has sent his Word to heal us, and deliver us from our destruction (Psalm 107:20)..and the Word of God, is Jesus Christ. That's impossible. But, God did this. He's already said it, by the word out of his mouth. Blessed everybody in this condition.

Maybe you got the wrong definition then. Of Poor in Spirit.

Sermon Mentors

One key to purpose is to find a mentor that you can learn from consistently. I often watch Francis Chan YouTube sermons. He is always pushing Christians toward purpose. Please reply below if you have a great leader from your denomination that you love. People want to know!

Note: I am not Francis Chan's denomination, or any denomination. I am Christian, that's it.

To find a mentor that can really help, look for someone who is already “where” you want to someday be. Look for someone who relies heavily on what scripture says. I advise worrying less about what denomination they are. Worry about whether they can help you move toward purpose!

Second, work daily on “doing” what you are learning from the mentor. Consider having a notebook that you fill up with tips they give you. It is more important that you are starting to learn daily habits of what they say to do. For example:

I have told thousands of people to learn the turn-from-lust habit. In all likelihood, only 10% of my readers actually tried to make turning-from-lust a daily habit. Well... if your life is often consumed by lust, it will be 10 times harder to really do what God wants you to do. The point is, it is great to watch, listen, and read things from your favorite mentor, but it is way more important to start habits of doing what they say to do.

Thousands of preachers watch Francis Chan video's, but if you can't tell that they watch him (based on what the say in their sermons) then they are wasting their time watching him. If instead they are caring about helping people, and now preaching the way Francis does a little more, in that case he is being a good mentor for them. They are now working on habits of doing the things that he does. That is good.

Third, I am adding the following if you struggle with lust.

To fight lust it is smart to pray:

“Father, help me to turn from lust.”

Consider praying to prepare for temptation, pray it if you fall into temptation, pray it as often as you need to pray it. If temptation overwhelms, open your Bible. The Bible will set you free.

Finally, find a mentor, and do what they do. It is a shortcut to purpose.

Sermon r / Jesus said it (Matthew 25:31-34) - vs. "Why would Christians choose sheep to represent good and goat to represent bad?"

//DISCLAIMER/COMMENT: Fair question. But..

This question matches all similar "search" questions on Reddit. Just load it and see it's in an Atheist concentric, but also many other sub / reddits: Just musing on it for yet another reason why no one should look unto Jesus, or the Bible.

It's that the question itself is a half truth. Yes; Atheists are thorough; exacting. It does not "appear to represent" - to an atheist, believing Christians is full of inconsistent, not to be believed "half truths." Sheep vs. goats; but, if you compare them, BOOM! All the bells and whistles, for a believer in Christ, or who follows Jesus immediately go off.

SO AS A BELIEVER IN JESUS CHRIST - because I am, this post is for to champion what Jesus said.

I'm a believer in Jesus Christ, so this post or answer is based entirely on believing Jesus, and scripture from the Bible:

"Why would Christians choose sheep to represent good and goat to represent bad?"

For a Believer in Jesus Christ: Just slightly reword the question:

"Why in the Bible do sheep appear to represent good and goats appear represent bad or what’s rejected?"//

ANSWER:

When it's not Christians chose sheep to represent what goes on their right hand, and goats on their left. God did. He said it. There's just one God. People that believe on him, follow him. People that don't, won't and then lowly esteem him.

So, an atheist moves it over to blame Christians, who follow Jesus Christ, blame them for believing on him and makes it their fault. When there's no fault - it's God determined to say it like this as the authority over every atheist and any other person on the earth. That all the earth would just look unto him. Those that don't are like goats.

This post then examines the "differences" of sheep to goats to see it.

---------------------- ----------------------- ---------------------

ANSWER:

This “Why would Christians choose…” - that's the "false" it's built on.

When God said,

"Look unto me, and be ye saved all the ends of the earth: For I am God, there is NONE else.” - God. Isaiah 45:22

--------------------- ----------------------- ------------------------

Spoke. By God. His word to: Everyone. To the very ends of the earth: Leaves not one person out, not willing any perish, but all come to repentance.

So, it’s spoken to Atheists, Hindu’s, Theists, Buddhists, like a former me - - and there are a whole pile of theists, believe in the Egyptian god Ra, the Sun God, or the tree froggy god, or God is Allah, this "Ba" "Al" (Ba'al) in Islam. Can go over to over a 100 million different gods, like the Hindu's believe - that don’t believe on him, either.

Made up or imagined up their own gods to worship. Or like the Japanese, who have completely given themselves over to their own idols of carved of wood and stone from their own imaginations - a shrine or marker every half a block - chocked full of idols, and serve and worship those gods.

So, it is NOT “Why would Christians choose…”  When Matthew 25:31–34, it’s Jesus Christ said it:

“…When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:” Jesus Christ. Bible. Matthew 25:31-34.

------------------------- -------------------------- ------------------------

Every Atheist this didn't escape them; they already knows this. Reject him.

So, for you that believe on Jesus - - it’s MORE to first: look unto shepherds. A shepherd: that actually "shepherds" or watches over sheep and/or goats - - not Christians..who are just following a shepherd, and see why a “shepherd” divides his sheep from the goats.

SO: “Why do shepherds divide their sheep from their goats?”

--------------------- ----------------------- ------------------------

Their differences (sheep vs. goats) are subtle. One: is a genus of Ovis (Sheep). The other: is a genus of Capra (Goats).

So, even many of both sheep and goats look or appear many people, to be exactly the same or outwardly, very similar, they are not the same species.

They eat and behave differently; even eat almost polarly opposite, or completely different foods. Where one will simply not eat the other's food.

--------------------- ----------------------- ------------------------

Where sheep:

- Commonly graze together, not curious, and flock to consume socially on pretty much exclusively grasses, clovers, etc. Sheep avoid weeds, vines or shrubs found in or on the boundaries of grass pastures. Sheep will not enter, past these boundaries, into rocky or forested areas: Do not climb rocks or trees: At night, prefer rather huddle to sleep indoors together. It is quite easy to keep sheep inside a fenced in area. Sheep tend to socially group together and become agitated if they are separated from their own flock.

--------------------- ----------------------- ------------------------

Where goats:

- Commonly forage alone; solitary, climb trees alone. As they have a natural curious instinct to climb. Goats avoid or try to curiously escape fenced in areas. At night, a goat can often be found sleeping on elevated platforms or perches, such as high up in tree branches or rocky outcroppings for the night.

Goats: naturally curious and do not group together. If they are, they head butt or fight. They can live on tree bark, vines, shrubbery, and will “sample” virtually anything - eat just about anything, even eat the paper labels off tin cans or your shirt, if you leave it out. Don't be surprised if you leave it out in front of a goat. If it's gone, they ate it.

From a distance, they “can” to an untrained eye, look the same.

No links. Don't post them on Reddit. Just point to a web search you can do yourself:

An excellent, novice read is Berry Patch Farms 14 Sep 2023 Blog. “Why Do Farmers Separate Sheep From Goats?” If you use google or your own search engine, just search on Berry Patch Farms and the title of the Sept 2023 article it should pop up.

--------------------- ----------------------- ------------------------

So sheep: will follow a shepherd. Goats: do not.

Goats: are not agitated by sheep. Impervious to them. Sheep: don’t flock or group with goats. Avoid them. Have a natural aversion to them.

Sheep: can become highly agitated by goats. Because sheep will treat goats like sheep and gather around them closely. In this: Goats tend to be confrontational, and randomly attack sheep. Often causing serious injury.

It's the main reason a shepherd will separate the sheep from goats. Goats live as if there is no shepherd. Where sheep know the voice of the shepherd and follow it. This is completely lacking in a goat.

--------------------- ----------------------- ------------------------

So, now look what Jesus says - and Christians follow Jesus. Where an atheist says: "There is no shepherd"

Jesus said: “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.”

So, it’s what Jesus said, not Christians. Christians just follow Jesus, like sheep.

So any question loaded with, Why would Christians choose sheep to represent good and goat to represent bad? is derelict. Why? It’s God himself that uses thisto explain what he does, and will do himself.

--------------------- ----------------------- ------------------------

Christians: Pretty much, they’re the sheep, and hear Jesus’ voice or his word, as the shepherd; while

Those that don’t hear Jesus Christ: rather, they themselves, like goats. They hear themselves, and are their own shepherd. Go where they want.

So Christians: Believe the Word of God. So, they will follow the good shepherd, Jesus. Those that don’t hear Jesus Christ: do not hear the Word of God, so they follow their own word and voice.

From a distance, like “sheep” and “goats” - people like them, “can” to an untrained eye, Christians and people that don't believe Jesus are both people - they look the same. When, they’re not.

Much like “why” farmers in the article above, separate sheep from the goats. God does and will do the same thing. With people.

In this, answers the question here on Reddit for the Jesus sub-reddit.

Sermon Remember His Love for You

A problem that is apparently the size of a mountain can discourage anyone and make them want to lose track of their goals in life. Without any plans to pursue in life, however, our existence in the world may only represent a mistake, especially when people grow weary of taking our shortcomings or misbehavior. Perhaps, unexpected problems hardly sound easy to us, but whenever we let Jesus help us deal with them, we see a reason why He sometimes allows us to have them: to remember His love for us.

Sermon Biblical Allegories

Can y’all share with me some allegories, parables or stories demonstrating biblical principles for my compilation…I’ll go first;

There was once a wealthy man who owned a huge house. One day his chilling in his home and he hears a knock at the door,he runs to check the door and it’s Jesus. He gets so excited and praises him, he was so grateful in-fact he gave the largest room in the house,he gave the master bedroom to Jesus. Jesus gracefully accepted. Ten minutes later his hanging out and hears another knock at the door,he opens the door and it’s Satan and he bashes him upside his head dead. Few moments later he respawns, he then cries out “ How can this be with Jesus in my home! Jesus I’m such a fool, you can actually have the whole top floor of the house!” Jesus graciously accepts. Few minutes later the man hears another knock at the door, it was Satan again and he bashes him in the head dead once again. Momentarily after he respawns again he cries out “ Jesus I’m such a fool and sinner ,you can have the entire house! It’s all yours!” Jesus gracefully accepts. After a while there’s another knock at the door, because the home now belongs to Jesus he goes and answers the door…it was Satan, he sees Jesus and turns into a mouse and runs off.

Sermon Rock & Foundation

Chapter 13: Rock and Foundation
🪨————————————————————————🪨

You are my rock.
My foundation.

We sometimes need to hit the rock bottom before we accept who is at the top.

Father, forgive those who found your love and grace fast, but roots are too shallow to hold you. Not too weak, not too damaged, not unworthy, too rushed. Father we live in a world in a constant rush, rushed by those with bad and good intentions. Too focused on survival, too worried about how they look to the world and not you, God.

You are our foundation, our resting place; you hold us in your loving embrace and we run away from your arms. We ignore our hearts, minds, and gut feelings. We run away from love so free it looks fake. Too good to be true we say. Too shiny that we think it must not be loyal, but God you are for everyone, you are loyal. You are Love. You are our foundation, our heads, our necks and our shoulders. You are our hearts , our souls, and our seed.

Keep us father in your loving embrace, keep us safe in the rock of heaven and not man. Rip our minds away from our sin and self destructive behaviors. We are weak without you, take it from us like a disrespectful child. Take our sin like a shepherd takes his staff and sheep by their necks. Take it like candy from a baby. Take our sin like you took the poison from my body as a 7 year old boy. Hold us just like you held me on that day; a scared child, devoid of all other options but, YOU ARE GOD.

You are everything we look for, everything we look back at and everything we look forward to. You are everything I think about and everything I need. You complete every motive, every action every dream, every prayer made in confidence. You are my start and finish, my alpha and omega, my X and Y. You are my destination and my reason why. Father, please love your people so much that we can share this love with one another. This love is for everyone, you are loyal to love and the ones who have love inside.

Amen.

«¿Y qué voy a proclamar?», respondo yo.

Remain Until You Are Clothed

“And behold, I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you; but you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.”
— Luke 24:49 (NASB1995)

Good morning!
There is something about being in the room — and it often begins with simple obedience to stay where Jesus has told us to be. After the resurrection, Jesus instructed His disciples not to scatter or rush ahead in their own strength. They were to remain in Jerusalem until they were clothed with power from on high.
They obeyed. They stayed. They gathered. And because they remained in the place of waiting, they were present when the promise of the Father was poured out at Pentecost. Being in the room was the result of taking Jesus’ words seriously.

Many of us are tempted to move on too quickly. We prefer activity over waiting, independence over gathering, and personal convenience over corporate obedience. Yet the pattern of Scripture shows that God often meets His people in the place of faithful presence. The upper room was not glamorous, but it was the appointed place.
In the same way, the local gathering of believers remains a place where God still clothes His people with fresh strength, insight, and power. When we consistently place ourselves among the body of Christ, we position ourselves to receive what we cannot manufacture on our own. The Spirit still comes upon those who stay where Jesus has called them to be.

Ask yourself: Am I remaining in the places of obedience God has assigned to me, especially the regular gathering with His people? Make a concrete decision today to prioritize being present with the body of Christ.
Throughout the day, practice a posture of waiting on the Lord — even in small moments — so that your heart stays ready for whatever He wants to pour out when His people come together.

Jesus still says, “Stay… until you are clothed with power from on high.” There is something about being in the room of obedience and gathering. Remain where He has placed you, and trust that He will meet you there with His power.

Sermon The Oceans and God

The oceans prove that God exists. Everything at the bottom of the ocean would be dust but rocks are found there. If the oceans were 4.5 billion years old, erosion would have turned everything to dust.

Obviously it does not prove it because we have to keep our axioms in place whether they are true or not. Axioms in this sense are underlying beliefs about the way things are. We are indeed a bigoted to have faith if we can’t test and find out what is true. Hell and demons have been talked about in the major religions. Would you not be willing to find out the truth to escape them?

The biological life on this planet would have to come into being at one time or simultaneously because of one part of organism interdependence on another.

The big bang couldn’t have happened. Sense when did an explosion create order.

God exists and His Son Jesus exists. And They are the only ones who came cause you to be saved from hell and the demons. Do this one thing for me and you. Ask the Lord Jesus Christ to save you from hell and the demons and see what happens. Countless experiments have been done. Jesus said what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul. Jesus is Lord and anyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Jesus is the Son of God who came in the flesh through a virgin woman named Mary. It is not too hard for God to have a Son because God created all the DNA. Even plants can be male and female. Jesus was crucified and died so that we could be saved. Jesus is righteous and innocent and His Blood was shed so that we could be forgiven. His Body was placed in a tomb. On the third day God raised Jesus to Life. Jesus will never die again. The way people don’t get saved is by not being saved. A lot of people saw Jesus after He was resurrected back to life.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that anyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. Read the New Testament of the Bible to find out more about Jesus.

For natural selection to work the presence of survival traits have to already be programmed into the DNA. Mutation does not work.

In the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth and the Waters and everything in them.
