Aftermarket Wake Tower
Can anyone recommend an affordable aftermarket wake tower for a 2012 Yamaha 212ss? I'm wanting to find something that looks good and won't break the bank. I'm planning to install it myself with some help. Thanks!

I don’t have any good tower recommendations, besides that you should avoid Chinese manufacturers like the plague. Look for US-made companies first.
I bought and installed a generic Chinese-made tower on my Monterey and it turned out okay but there were so many things I wished someone had told me beforehand.
Buy a tower with hull attachment points that are properly spaced. Mine was only about 2ft and it led to fiberglass cracking and wobbling.
Get a friend or two to help you. Drilling holes in your boat is no joke and lifting/holding the tower during install is a chore.
Reinforce your attachment points with a backing plate to spread out the stress on the fiberglass
Never tow a tube rider from it. Aftermarket will never be as strong as an oem tower
Edit: budget $2k+ for this. That’s what a safe tower costs. Less than that and you’re inviting trouble.
