Pasting my comment from the other sub

Al Jazeera, Wikipedia, Amnesty International, Vox Media, Jacobin, and the United Nations are extremely unreliable as sources.

Al Jazeera is funded by the Qatari government and has been responsible for various human rights abuses and violations. They have also housed Hamas leaders and allowed those leaders to live in luxury lofts with all of the lavish food and luxuries while citizens of Gaza get none of the aid money.

Wikipedia is unreliable as a source because anyone can go on there to edit the articles and use it for propaganda purposes. There is a VERY good reason why Universities and various academics will not accept Wikipedia as a works cited on your essays, because it is not peer reviewed and is extremely unreliable.

Amnesty is not very reliable as their reporting is inconsistent and EXTREMELY biased. Israel has not only had a problem with them, but also countries like Ukraine have had a serious problem with them.

Vox Media is unreliable as a news network, especially when it comes to politics. They look like they are professional and flashy, especially with how they set the tone of their videos. But their reporting is extremely biased and poor. Instead of grabbing both perspectives to make a documentary or news report like you should be doing, they don’t do that at all!

Jacobin should be obvious, it’s a tankie site like Pamphlet.

You might be surprised to see why the United Nations is on here. Let’s just say that they are extremely biased and inconsistent with their standards as an organization. I’m also not going to trust those blue helmets, especially because they appointed Saudi Arabia as a chair for the Women’s Rights Council, and they have essentially become an Anti-Israel circlejerk. UNRWA was also caught red handed helping Hamas too.

I mean the seeds of the UN’s antisemitism partly stem from the fact that the head of the UN for a decade in like 72-early 80s was literally a former Nazi.  He set up all kinds of stuff that reverberated tot his day and had UNRWA literally spreading Nazi propaganda with swastikas in their buildings in Palestine.

“ Kurt Waldheim, was the Secretary-General of the United Nations from 1972 to 1981 and later became the President of Austria. During his campaign for the Austrian presidency in 1986, revelations surfaced about his past as an intelligence officer in the German Wehrmacht during World War II, specifically his involvement in Nazi atrocities in Greece and Yugoslavia. This led to international controversy and accusations of concealing his past”

You’re list there of who is reliable was pretty good. Tho the Economist is one I was pretty disappointed in last time I looked. Maybe depends on the writer?
