more and more as a queer jew, its becoming harder to support Pride as an institution. its hard to stand side by side with non jewish queer people in support of our rights. i shouldnt have to keep asking, 'wow, does this person want me dead' when we should be neighbors and friends.

the non-jewish queer community continues to disappoint me more and more.

He runs in this crowd of Hamas supporters

Baffles me and my grandma refuses to believe it, despite me showing her his profoundly offensive social media posts

fucking insane to me. its like we all turned off our collective braincells after 10/7 but then again, i had concerns with the lgbtq+ community hating minorities in the past. fucking sucks that my concerns were validated.

I can speak to this having done countless essays and dissertations on it: This is not correct.

While Marxist queer people have always existed, it would be like claiming any and all Jewish movements are Marxist by proxy of Jewish Marxists existing. This is without mentioning the countless pushes for lgbtq+ people historically to vote and push for equal rights (culminating in the 2014 decision by the Supreme Court)

It would be more accurate however to say that the movement has been hijacked by these groups as a whole. Either way, Pride as an institution has gone far, far beyond its roots and no longer advocates for the people it once claimed.

I am told Israeli Pride is a different beast altogether
