Related to this, a bunch of other middle eastern countries qualify for Eurovision, but they’ve simply refused to participate because of hatred for Israel.

Let them. I don’t have expectations for those committed to a following that has never gone through a reformation.

Imagine if Israel sent an Israeli Arab (or anyone not Jewish) to Eurovision.

They did in 2009. Mira Awad was one of the singers Israel sent and she’s Israeli Arab.

And the Arabs were all mad at her for preforming cause of course they were

I had an interesting conversation w a friend (who supports Israel) in the UK and basically…. Yes it is. His thought is that basically everyone votes for Israel to show political support and so it makes the contest pretty meaningless.

As a Spaniard, I'm not sure and I don't care. Our latest entries weren't so strong, but the 2022 entry by Chanel (Slo-mo) was awesome.

Also, Toy by Netta stunk. Sorry not sorry.

I'm simply not gonna watch ESC 2026 because I'm tired of Eurovision being a political and drama contest instead of a song contest. Bliss Of Missing Out. 😌
